Tking22 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 https://twitter.com/sakai_max Yes, Figma stuff should go here. We have a dedicated thread for most major toy lines and series. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=25242&&page=16 Quote
Mommar Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Well the Riot Control Storm Trooper showed up today. I forgot I had pre-ordered it. It's a Storm Trooper with a shield and baton. Could have easily been an add-on set like Macross Armor. It's cool looking but since the new movie is terrible in my eyes I just don't feel much affection for it. Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 NECA 1/4 Batman Returns Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer !!!) SHF Captain (CW ver.) Quote
Tking22 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Yeesh, that unmasked Steve head looks WAY too big, and it still looks quite derpy to me. Quote
Mommar Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Interesting video review/comparison of both the Captain America figures. Quote
Mommar Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 This dude is a bit goofy but here's a review for the Mace Windu figure. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Not liking or buying SH Monsterarts burn-victim Godzilla. Definitely not something I care to own.....but some might. http://www.taghobby.com/tag/s-h-figuarts/ Quote
VF-Zer0S Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Wow that Godzilla looks terribleness and the Japanese made fun of our Godzilla lol Quote
Tking22 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Oh crap, I'm SOOOO glad I never paid the insane markup for the D-Arts version. http://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000104668/ Figuarts Charizard is on the way folks, web exclusive of course though. Quote
Mommar Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Glad I went with Revoltech Ultron. And I really don't like that Ultron at all. Quote
sh9000 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Revoltech Ultron scales well with 1/18 but at $50 I'm ok with skipping it. Quote
Mommar Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 It's not painted as well but you can comfortably get by with the Marvel Legends Ultron BAF. He has some of the better articulation as well... somehow. Quote
Mommar Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Hmm, Figuarts going back to IM1 and doing the Mark 3 armor. Quote
Tking22 Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 (edited) Hmm, Figuarts going back to IM1 and doing the Mark 3 armor. Yeah that was announced a while back, they're putting out some older armors in order to further flesh out everyone's collections before they fully announce and reveal the hall of armor setup. I don't think we have a Mafex thread, I found most of their figures to be terrible anyway, but these look intriguing. Edited June 23, 2016 by Tking22 Quote
Mommar Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Well, I'm happy about the Mk3, that's my favorite movie suite so I'm sold. I'm not a DC fan but that Dead Shot figure does look pretty great. I suppose I'd be happy about somebody finally releasing a nicely poseable Rey figure but I just don't care about those movies anymore. I'll stop at the Figuarts First Order Heavy Soldier and pull out of the new Trilogy until I can see whether Rian Johnson can make me like these new movies again. I'm stoked to pre-order AOTC Obi-Wan though, that was my favorite look. Quote
Big s Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 My favorite Ironman was the crappy one he pieced together in the beginning of the first film, but this one is a close second. And by the way instead of stating that there is no mafex thread, maybe you should start one. They seem to be making more and more figures and some of them are different offerings than other toy lines. I'm sure as the line grows and quality gets better people will appreciate upcoming news for these items. Quote
Mommar Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Sweet, my Movie Realization Royal Guard is due to arrive Tuesday! Quote
slaginpit Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 (edited) Ouch. lol good review. Should have got the hot toys version. But its seems Bandai tried to knockoff the features of the hot toys but in a bad way Edited June 25, 2016 by slaginpit Quote
no3Ljm Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 (edited) I'm sold! It's the cheapest way to collect the IM Armors than doing the Hot toys way. I just hope we get more accessories such as the arm missiles, hip flares, shoulder micro missiles besides those blast effects. Photos from TagHobby. Btw, somebody on the TagHobby site commented regarding the joints of Figuarts. How bad was it? 2016/06/25 10:33 - Guyver Bandai.. you should do diecast joint like metal build. I have mine with the joint breaking off so easily.. most of the shf cannot last long. Edited June 25, 2016 by no3ljm Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 ^No issues with any of my SH Figuarts, but I only keep them in static poses, not a lot of play, if any, or wear and tear. And a ton of them still MISB. Only ones opened are Iron Man armor and Star Wars figures. That's also the first I've heard or read of any issues Noel. -b. Quote
Mommar Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 I've heard on the original IM2 releases that the hip extensions can really loosen up bad. I don't play all the often so O haven't seen that yet. Quote

Mommar Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Glad I went with Revoltech Ultron. Does your Tevo Ultron's arms rotate forward? I can't do that with mine, the damn shoulder joint pops off if I try to rotate them foreward. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Does your Tevo Ultron's arms rotate forward? I can't do that with mine, the damn shoulder joint pops off if I try to rotate them foreward. Damn you making me open my mib Ultron. ..... . No problems rotating any of his joints. Sounds like you got a lemon. Quote
Big s Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I don't own the ultron, but my daughter and I have have a few figures from dbz, Starwars, Avengers, Naruto, Sailor Moon and others. The joints on those are probably some of the most reliable and they are fairly durable. We've never had one break. I can't say the same for figma or neca. The revoltech ones haven't broken on mine, but have been loose enough to just fall apart and I don't have any mafex figures yet. Anyway the sh figuarts joints don't worry me at all. Quote
Kanedas Bike Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 (edited) Iron Man Mark III and Episode II Obi Wan went up tonight. As I type this sold out at AmiAmi (ha) and Iron Man Hobby Search (they still have Obi Wan), but both still available at HLJ. -b. Edited July 1, 2016 by Kanedas Bike Quote
Mommar Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 They're both still up at CDJapan as well, just pre-ordered both. Quote
Big s Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 I was surprised to see some sites already sold out of the Stone Cold and Rock figures, while ObiWan is still there hoping someone will pick him up with his sad puppy dog eyes😔 Quote
Tking22 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 I locked down Figuarts AOTC Obi-Wan and Iron Man MK 3 last night with my Hi-Metal 1J Max, I also grabbed the new Monsterarts Toho Resurgence Godzilla. Quote
