I just talked to some people at Volks USA in Torrance at their store, and I was told that the DDS Freyja will be a lottery prize? Really? I kinda want it, but at a lottery prize, my chances just about fell off the map.

Ichiban Kuji Freyja or Bandai FiguArts Zero? which is better?

I don't have the Figuarts Zero version, so I can't say. I should've picked up one when it was on sale at Hobby Search. In terms of production quality, I'd expect the Figuarts version to be better.

I dunno, it just doesn't look like Max (or Hikaru) to me. Looks like their Gatchaman counterparts getting ready to throw down.

I might buy Max. If Bandai were to release a 6" scale Max before this 12" figure come out, then I'd buy from Bandai instead and skip this.

I don't know why but for some reason I thought that these were static figures (maybe because we have seen them in very limited poses). But now that I know that they are articulated I think I will have to get them.

Question though: If Rick is 02 and Max is 03 who is 01?

Same here...I would prefer SHF 6" figures mainly just for the lower cost and display ease.

ooohhh... I hope they do the whole group. Makina DDdy...

70,000Yen

Wow, this is really expensive.

Looks like crap.

Can't they just hire someone like Masaki Aspy and give their figures a better face?

Because there's already many of the other ones out/announced/coming?

Yeesh, you'd think Frontier only had two characters in the whole show based on the figures they released.

Why would you want a less popular character made first?

To get as much sales as they can for the less popular characters while the show is still fresh in our memories. Popular characters will get bought regardless when they are released

Realistically it's the opposite. The obscure characters will sell the same amount no matter when you release them because only the hardcore fans will buy them regardless. The fair weather fans who will stop caring in six months are also the type of people who are only gonna by figures for the most popular characters in the first place.

also the stronger sales of the popular characters is what funds the making of obscure characters down the line. you launch with an obscure character and the line dies do to lack of sales and you never see any more figures.
