Valkyrie2008 Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 3rd parties are popping up left and right, HasTak is too slow. Quote

Scyla Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 (edited) Me like what me see! Seems like they are planning on updating their not Snarl: For more information Gigapower opened a thread over at tfw. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/981315-gigapower-mp-snarl-suggestion-thread-gigapower-team.html Edited April 19, 2014 by Scyla Quote

Gigapower's dinobots are going to be massive, me like! Both version A and B are nice, but since version A have those spikes located more toward the end of the tail, my vote is for A also. Quote
Twoducks Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 They keep this up I'm dumping my Scoria preorder. That dino mode + the robot mode works great. The potato look of Scoria now really bothers me for the asking price. Giga says they plan to go under 200$ for their bigger dinobots. Quote
Valkyrie2008 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 My preorder of Scoria (Mr. Potato Head) have a none refundable deposit, otherwise I would cancel it in a heart beat. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 This might make me buy 3P toys. Maybe. Snarl and Swoop beating the crap out of the original dinobots was always my favourite episode. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 FT pics of Soar /Swoop are out. http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?p=570714#post570714 Quote
Valkyrie2008 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Me Swoop no see nothing! I'll wait for the Gigapower version. Hopefully giga will use quality materials and some diecast for all their dinos. Quote
Twoducks Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Pre-orders are up. Pass. I can swallow Scoria for $200 but no way is this simple thing worth $200 too. How much will Sludge and Grimlock be? 260? 300?? Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Pre-orders are up. Pass. I can swallow Scoria for $200 but no way is this simple thing worth $200 too. How much will Sludge and Grimlock be? 260? 300?? why should grimlock or Sludge they be any more costly than scoria? i think they are shooting for $200 across the board (by the time the american retailers sell it which I suspect is more like $145 or so in China) which i think is why they are giving us a stand and an extra set of chromed wings for Soar (adding perceived added value/content to justify price). Then again i could see grimlock being a touch more since they could likely get away with it becasue... grimlock. Quote
Valkyrie2008 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Yeah, 200 smackers for Swoop is a bit much. I think his beak is a tad too long in bot mode. Quote

Then again i could see grimlock being a touch more since they could likely get away with it becasue... grimlock. Why not? The excuse with Scoria was size, parts number and complexity. None of this is the case with Swoop. The perceived added value is very poor. Chucking out an extra set of wings when nobody asked and selling a stand as something special is still very little to justify the price. BUT if people just blindly preorder and let FT run with the rather evident price hike then that opens the gates for more price hikes. Sludge? He is supposed to be very big and FT has already said it is difficult to design. There is your excuse to ask more for it. And like you say, Grimlock is Grimlock. Quote

Mechapilot77 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 i felt that way with arcadia's price hike with roy's vf-1s w/ a stand yup but at least it works well with teh YF-19...i'm hesitatnt to put the 19 on a smaller stand. Quote
Scyla Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Yay! That looks awesome. Will fit right in with my collection of black Convoy repaints. Quote

David Hingtgen Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Lots of clear color pics of Warbotron Not-Brawl: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.769129436454287.1073741825.753749834658914&type=1 IMHO, it looks good except for having someone else's head. Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Speaking of tanks, IDW Megatron gets 3rd party treatment from a newcomer. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 That Warbotron not-Brawl looks great, head notwithstanding. It's G-1ish enough to make him recognizable, well articulated, and I like what they did with his main gun. I wish this was official Hasbro..these third party toys tend to be expensive for their sizes. Quote
big F Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I wish this was official Hasbro..these third party toys tend to be expensive for their sizes. I guess it's down to cost of development, Hasbro can soak up the dev costs as they'll get a big return from world wide sales, these small guys have higher costs due to size of runs etc. But I stand by their work 99.9% of it is better than Hasbro. Scyla Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I love MMCs Airborne Squad. They are great toys. Even after all the time I had my Warper I still love to play with him. So many options! Sorry for the crappy pictures! Quote
slaginpit Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 Sorry, Hasbro's version doesn't stand a chance, nah ah Quote
slaginpit Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 Anyone here buy Dr.Wu accessories. I find his stuff really bad quality Quote
David Hingtgen Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Really? Most of his stuff has a good reputation. I've only got 1 thing from him, but it's flawless. What do you have and what are the problems? Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Maketoys' product catalog has some sweet pics of their Computron and Metroplex. Afterburner's alt mode is a TRON lightcycle...this is awesome. Quote
Scyla Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Yay I need this Nemesis toy from Maketoys. This is a complete transforming toy like their Hyper Novae right? It doesn't need the Collectors Club Scourge? Quote

It doesn't need the Collectors Club Scourge? Nah, it's doesn't need Scourge, it's complete like Hyper Novae. Initially, I think the plans were for it to be just an add-on, but that has definitely changed. Quote

RD Blade Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Glad it's happening. Always liked Computron and the fact that he matched more than most other combiners. Besides Strafe's, the other alt modes are kinda lacking. Quote
