Mechapilot77 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 As amazing and awesome as the planet x genesis is, i just don't like the WFC/FOC aesthetic enough to pay 3P prices. i hope for their sake the game has tons of rabid fans because the two items they released so far are totally on point. just amazing. i just wished they worked on stuff i like. lol. David Hingtgen Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I'm a HUGE Trypticon fan, but the G1 Dino look is kinda silly. The WFC version is just plain badass. I don't know many Trypticon fans who don't like the "re-imagined" version. (He's also actually intelligent in WFC, not a moron like in G1) I don't like many of the WFC designs, but their Trypticon is the best-ever version of him. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Just got FP's Protector from a member over at TFW. It just cements the fact that FP has the best color-matching and paint-apps. The red is a *perfect* match to Classics Rodimus. (I didn't buy Maniaking, so decided to get something else) Quote

Valkyrie Hunter D Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Now the butchering of MP seekers can stop for the sake of custom made MP Swoops: 3rd party MP Swoop. Quote
VF5SS Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I just got my X-Transbots Stax and while the design is quite good the plastic quality is definitely lacking. Expect a full review in the coming weeks. Quote
anime52k8 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Now the butchering of MP seekers can stop for the sake of custom made MP Swoops: 3rd party MP Swoop. looks decidedly meh. I've also never understood what people see in Swoop. Quote
Sam Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Looks awesome! Pity the body it goes onto just doesn't do it justice though... Quote
dizman Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Looks awesome! Pity the body it goes onto just doesn't do it justice though... My thoughts exactly. If PE was going to recreate all of Fort Max (with different TF's that become arms, legs and torso) then this would be interesting to me. Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 There's something you rarely see on TFs; working treads. Quote
skullmilitia Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 It's really a great piece. I'd be tempted, but it totally blows the Fort Max G1 mold to the dumpster. Quote
xrentonx Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 snip Very cool! Thinkin about dabbling in some 3rd party stuff and this one looks like a good place to start. Quote

big F Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 That is impressive, the G1 version is an oversized action figure in comparison. Quote
skullmilitia Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Spoken like someone who's never seen fort max in person. Sorry, I don't like Fort Max, I bought the Takara Encore and it's just a brick of a toy. It's cool on its own, but putting that head on would just highlight the fact the rest is still just a brick. slaginpit Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 it also makes an adawable tank: Just got mine. One Solid Toy. I love the treads. Will post pics, Just trying to get it into the head mode Quote

slaginpit Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 The details on this figure are incredibleI love the back thruster vents what a nice touch Quote
big F Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Wow, how come Hasbro can't even get close to this level of detail. Quote
dizman Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Wow, how come Hasbro can't even get close to this level of detail. Money/ design restrictions. Transformers are still primarily for a kid audience (naturally) so hasbro has to design toys that won't cause choking hazards, no sharp points and is within a disposable income range for parents (so parts count is usually low). 3rd party stuff gets around this and TF fans insane lust for perfect toys ensures that they will pay sky high prices. RD Blade Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Great pics. That Magnus is pretty big. Quote
ps99042 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I just opened my PE Warden last night and have to agree with Slaginpit that it's a great figure. Actually well worth the $150 price tag due to the details in the mold and paint apps, along with some good diecast thrown in for good measure. I felt the need to buy this guy after I opened up UT Maniaking which I felt was a letdown due to cheap feeling plastic and lack of articulated wrists, especially for the $120 price tag. Quote

I appreciate that but even master class stuff is far off bat, and we all know Hasbro don't really think you buy that for your 7 year old. Edited February 27, 2014 by big F Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 the hercules worth the price??? If you want a Devastator that will tower over your deluxe figures, it might be for you. Hercules is quite sturdy and I have no problem manhandling mine. However, I still prefer Maketoys' Giant. He may not be as tall as Herc, but the individual bot modes of each limb are generally more articulate and look better than Herc's counterparts imho. And by a slight margin, Giant's combined mode looks better to me. Quote
Scyla Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 The Green Giant has also a lovely shade of green. To me Hercules' colors just pop a but too much. Quote
slaginpit Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 This GUY is HUGE!!!! Holly shitballs, Predaking is going to be massive in scale. Glad I went with TFC instead of MMC. Also, Love the zoid ish look. Tons of engraved detail much like WardenHe is so modular with his design. You can be pretty liberal with the weapons fit or how you want the overall look to be. Very nice indeed Quote
David Hingtgen Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 You do realize that the other TFC Predacons are much much smaller? The MMC figures are all roughly equal to each other, but TFC has a much larger torso-bot. Quote
