wolfx Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Overlord is a must get. Gonna prepare for it to cost a bomb though. Quote
Scyla Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 who's lockout? is it supposed to be lockdown? Yes you're right. I fixed the typo. Quote
mikeszekely Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 who's lockout? is it supposed to be lockdown? He's the terrible villain that ruined half a hockey season a few years back. Quote
Scyla Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 (edited) So bought.... Could have a bit more teal for me though. Edited September 15, 2015 by Scyla Quote
RD Blade Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Perfect Effect gets an A++ for that promo image. My opinion of Xerxes went from "kinda cool" to "Want!" with just one look at it. Quote
Silverstreak Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Not a fan of the idea of a horn on a lion... Otherwise it's pretty neat. Quote
technoblue Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Heh. Not a fan of the pose or those shoulder pads. It took me a few moments to find the robot's head. I think this would look better with some light color accents to improve the contrast. Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Galvatron-now in technicolor! Quote
mikeszekely Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Galvatron-now in technicolor! Sweet Primus, that's hot. Like a bigger, better, and more G1-ish Mania King. Quote
technoblue Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Are those interchangeable cannons that I see? DX9 Toys has my attention. Quote
RD Blade Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Interchangeable! At first, I thought it had a light up feature that makes the cannon look all glittery. Quote
Silverstreak Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Wow that's nice! And I see rubber treads too! I'm a little disappointed with the treads not being on the backs of the arms, but this is still an impressive piece! Might be my first DX9 purchase! Quote
VF-2SS-BloodPhoenix Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 So bought.... Could have a bit more teal for me though. Is that from their FB page or something? I don't see it anywhere. Leonidas and Xerxes look effin awesome, but I don't konw about the prices of 3rd party stuff now going well over $100. Galvatron-now in technicolor! I'm still not liking the feet. I was impressed the alt mode is much more compact and sleeker than the G1 toy, but if they can make the feet more cool looking (flat, bootlike), then I might consider. Quote
sh9000 Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Preordered Xtransbots Boost at chimungmung. Not interested in the set with Hatch. I'd definitely buy a KITT and KARR variant set though and add them to my Knight Rider collection. Quote
VF5SS Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Please enjoy my review of DX9's Carry, in where I wave a bunch of Rodimus Prime toys in front of the screen. Quote
Sandman Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) I Hate how DX9's Carry is missing the fin/spoiler in truck mode. That is a huge fail in my eyes. Edited September 29, 2015 by Sandman Quote
Silverstreak Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 So that new Devastator from Toyworld, it's... Big. Quote

Gakken85 Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I like it.. but I don't haha. Quite a few things I think that TT could improve, but its a great effort. Quote
Valkyrie2008 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I think i'll go with FT version of not-hound, but I do like the shoulder missile on Maketoys version. I'm not a fan of any company, but I am a fan of toys that are appealing to my eyes and that's how I choose. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) I like both third party versions, although my preference is for the beefier Gun Dog. That said, as a collector and fan of the G1 MP figs, I'm more inclined to wait for Takara's official releases. Producing all the car robot figs seems to be the direction they're heading. If I had the ducats to throw at all these third party releases, I'd go for the figs that Takara likely won't produce, such as the remaining Dinobots, Reflector, IDW designs, the triple changers, etc. I broke down and bought Apollyon, since it may be years before Takara gets around to making a G1 MP Megatron v2, which will never be available in the Us b/c of gun /toy safety laws. I'm on the fence to get XTransbot's Eligos ( I really like Cyclonus' design, esp his space plane mode...so sweet), but I've held back since TF: The Movie toys seem to be part of Takara's focus right now, and we may get an official version. Still, XTransbots did a nice job on their version. Edited October 23, 2015 by M'Kyuun Quote
Tking22 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) I like it.. but I don't haha. Quite a few things I think that TT could improve, but its a great effort. He looks okay...I guess. No, honestly, he looks quite terrible to me, I'll definitely stick with the FansToys version, whenever they decide to actually release it... Edited October 23, 2015 by Tking22 Quote
cool8or Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 (edited) I felt in love with Gigapower's Guttur, so I just bought it. Now I'll have to wait 1 month or so until their arrive. Also, I was ready to buy the Generation Toys Gravity Builders, but reading about The Toy World's Devastator... I think I'll wait. Gravity Builder looks great and even better as Devastator than TW, but, TW is more cartoon accurate and it has 12 cms more... And talking about Devastator... Bigger is better!! Anyway, does somebody know what is the height of each TW constructicon? Edited October 24, 2015 by cool8or Quote
VF5SS Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 I got tired of DX9 Carry having a terrible gun, so I made a better one! http://www.shapeways.com/product/Z3SRFPT2Z/tf-dx9-carry-gun Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Did you ever want a bigger MP-10? Take a gander at MPP10, an oversized KO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-d9fLDv31A&feature=youtu.be It's just a tad taller than MP-01. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 MP-10 is already a good size. Mp-01 was a nice big chunky fig, but he took up a bit of space. Moreover, I imagine Uber-Prime is gonna cost a pretty penny, and given all the choices we have these days, I'd sooner spring for one of the combiners, the Dino bot sets, or just figs that Takara likely will never produce. For those who bite, though, I hope it's a nice figure. Quote
technoblue Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Chrome Gutter (not Snarl) arrived this week. This is my first third-party MP dino. He. Is. Enormous. And like MP Grimlock, the transformation is simple. I had the MP-08X reissue for a short time, but was not happy with the loosey-goosey joints. I don't know if it was a mold issue for that release or if I was just unlucky. GigaPower did much better with its repaint/reissue of Gutter. The joints are solid and I only have two nags: The packaging creates some static cling and leaves behind little Styrofoam pieces. These need to be removed (and a can-o-air is helpful). When transforming Gutter back to dino mode, the legs need to be straight to close the dino shell. Really, check them twice. Magnus now has someone he can look in the eye. Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 MMC's Mirage turned out to be real nice: Quote
