Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force (Thread no.2)

I did.  I based it on the markings of F-117A.

I actually have slightly more on the 103 version I did but I apparently don't have photos of that.  There are some extra no steps around bell bottoms, and some intake markings too.  I left the large 102 off of the side of the chest behind the cockpit in fighter and instead placed two smaller 103's on each side beneath the cockpit instead.

I didn't use the grey colored decals because the edges showed more.  Carving the white decals looked better and gave slightly more contrast.

I'll take some inspiration from those images if I'll decide to go on with stickers.

I only applied three stickers:

The rest of the stickers are hard to apply and look good since they are clear backed and have huge transparent areas of sticker material that need to be carefully trimmed (without damaging the marking) to make them look proper.

It is a shame that Yamato didn’t even apply the base level markings. 
If you want to make it look stealthy, why even paint the yellow stripes.

I never really wanted a ton of markings on the VF-17s anyhow, but yeah, the lack of the ones we did see in the show was pretty disappointing.

I can't really say I was that upset about it personally, since I don't mind them being solid black, but that's one of the detriments of giving the customer too much choice.
