David Hingtgen Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 If she is cast as April, I will refuse to see the movie for that alone. Quote
UN Spacy Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Why don't they just cast April O'Neil to play April O'Neil? I thought she did a great job at SDCC two years ago. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 That would rock, and be reason enough to see the movie then. Quote
Keith Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I wonder how hard she had to blow him to get back into his good graces. Quote
GU-11 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 (edited) If she is cast as April, I will refuse to see the movie for that alone. You can count on Bay casting her as April, though. What else can she be? I mean, she's certainly no Andy Serkis. I can't imagine Bay slapping a Splinter costume on her and making her channel Pat Morita's Mr. Miyagi. Venus De Milo...I don't hate Megan Fox, and I think she has some untapped potential, but she's stuck with either crappy horror movies or bay films. Not exactly roles that that give you a chance to shine. I'd like to see her cast in something a little more serious just to see what happens. If she stinks that's fine at least we know. Bay movies could make Patrick Stewart look like crap. EDIT: speaking of which I wouldn't mind seeing Patrick Stewart voice Unicron in some form. Edited February 22, 2013 by renegadeleader1 Quote

EDIT: speaking of which I wouldn't mind seeing Patrick Stewart voice Unicron in some form. The girl turtle? I'm thinking Bay would be using CGI for the non-human characters, and her only practical use in a movie is as eye candy. I don't see the point in Bay specifically casting her as the voice of a character, when he could have gotten any other VA for the job, and for much cheaper. Using her as a motion capture actor is even more pointless. Like I said, she's no Andy Serkis. In any case, I honestly can't see what untapped potential she has. She was awful in ROTF. Whenever the camera wasn't focused on her, her face would take on a look of utter disinterest, like she'd rather be elsewhere. Which is probably what she was thinking, but that's what being an actor is about; acting and pretending. And yes, Patrick Stewart's voice would be awesome for Unicron. Dynaman Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Yet another reason NOT to see this movie (altough another reason to avoid it was not needed, this might be a DVD rental and then again it probably won't be) Quote
big F Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 (edited) Bay needs to remember one thing... People in America land can own and use guns quite with in the law..... One day someone will take a proper dislike to his meddling with 80's pop culture icons. Edited February 22, 2013 by big F Quote

Luck for Bay anyone who cares that much about an children's cartoon show from the 80's probably hasn't left their mothers basement in 20 years. Edited February 22, 2013 by anime52k8 Quote
Roy Focker Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Who cares if Megan Fox is in the movie and as April. This is a movie based on an extremely far fetched kids cartoon and comic book. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Who cares if Megan Fox is in the movie and as April.Because she is so NOT an Irish redhead. It'd be akin to having her play Uhura in the new Trek movie. The character's look is well-established. Quote
peter Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 The movie's already a write-off because Bay's at the helm anyway, so I don't think it really matters who plays what period. If Megan Fox is in it, great, here's to watching her spread a little turtle waxd on dat ass. Her acting talent is just about on par with porn stars and b-movie actresses anyway. I'm sure Megan's been thoroughly tapped... Haha, hilarious! Quote
Knight26 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Megan Fox, yuck, what are you going to do, put her in black face? Sorry but I never cared for the cartoon turtles, original black and white comics all the way. Quote
Einherjar Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 (edited) Last year Simon Cowell pretty much did the same thing with Paula Abduel, letting her come back to whatever shows he works on now. Look how long that lasted. Edited February 23, 2013 by Einherjar Quote
Shadow Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Bay and TMNT together was enough reason for me not to be interested in this. Megan Fox just added a few more bricks to that decision. Quote
big F Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) Last year Simon Cowell pretty much did the same thing with Paula Abduel, letting her come back to whatever shows he works on now. Look how long that lasted. Simon Cowell is to the music industry what Michael Bay is to the film industry, a do what he wants and people will still want more kinda guy. In a way I'm glad he is spending more time in the USA That means he is less focused on the U.K market which his boy band manufactured tripe has all but killed off. At least in the USA you guys have more emphasis on multiple charts like Rock, Country, Rap and then the Billboard. Over here in Blighty we only ever really here about the main one which is everything mashed together. One down side is we get to vote, his pre-ordained this is going to be the Christmas number one was well and truly scuppered by the people buying Rage Against The Machine's Killing in the name, when we showed him we'd had enough. I just hope he never joins forces with Bay as then we are all doomed. Edited February 25, 2013 by big F Quote

big F Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 LOL, "Dad what was it like when you had records ?" Quote
Renato Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Heh, I had actually just finished listening to the Beatles on vinyl over dinner when I read this thread! I buy music but nowhere near as much as I used to. I like pretty much every genre except the Simon Cowell garbage... and the same goes for movies. I'm sick of these new flashy trends and I'm sick of Michael Bay. Quote

David Hingtgen Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Hey, that gives me hope---if the main 4 actors are all going to be replaced with CGI, can they replace Megan Fox with a CGI fair-skinned redhead, for an accurate April? (the CG April probably would look more "real", too, sadly---and I bet it'd emote better!) Quote

Lobizon Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Danny Woodburn Cast as Splinter in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Quote
Atharun Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Maybe it is just me but the Raphael from the first movie was perfect. Kinda wish they went with something similar. Quote
Hikuro Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Danny woodburn? Huh, I mean no offense to the guy, but wtf makes him able to be an iconic character such as splinter? >_>, who's Japanese..... Quote
Mommar Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Danny woodburn? Huh, I mean no offense to the guy, but wtf makes him able to be an iconic character such as splinter? >_>, who's Japanese..... While I can't picture Danny Woodburn (LOVE him as Micky from Seinfeld) playing Splinter... is he iconic? Quote
Hikuro Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Splinter I think is a very iconic character. If you've heard of ninja turtles you've surely heard the name splinter Quote
David Hingtgen Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 After the turtles themselves and Shredder, Splinter's the next guy. I'd honestly consider him more important than April. Quote
Hikuro Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I would think someone like Emma Stone might make a good April, and she's a hot commodity right now imo. Quote
