D.D. Ivanov Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Getting the DLC for the Japanese version on the PS3 would mean spending more money on this crap. Paying for awesome DLC in a terrible game is not worth it. Quote
big F Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Cool video footage, may have to seek it out for my self. Quote
Benson13 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Can these skins be applied in single and multiplayer? Quote
Macross_Fanboy Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Yes. On multi it depends since not everybody DLs or plays with DLC so it kinda sucks. Quote
zerocool Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 i follow the lonewolf walktrue and i get is This item isn't avaible from my current location, any ideas Quote
Macross_Fanboy Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 You have to open a Japanese XBL account, an interesting note though, for some reason Japanese MSPoints don't work on my account so I get everything with my wife's Visa Japan/ Quote
zerocool Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Well I'm a happy camper got it to work I follow this guide if any one need help http://digiex.net/guides-reviews/console-guides/xbox-360-guides/8109-xbox-360-vpn-setup-xbox-live-buy-dlc-games-demand-japanese-market.html Edited May 3, 2012 by zerocool Quote
TheLoneWolf Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Glad you got it to work! I'm baffled as to why you had problems to begin with. I have an American IP address and I was able to download the Macross skins without any problems. Though, there are some Japanese titles that XBL JP won't let me download, like Arcana Heart 3. From my understanding, region locking on XBL JP (excluding Games on Demand) is entirely dependent on the publisher, not XBL. Since Macross_Fanboy and I are both in the USA and were able to download the Macross skins, I assumed that Namco Bandai didn't implement region locking. Another weird thing is that if there's a JP game that I'm not allowed to download because of my American IP, XBL JP won't show me the "Download" button to actually download it. In your case, it sounds like XBL JP showed you the "Download" button, but then performed a region check when you clicked on it. Thanks for the VPN link, I'll include it in my article in case anyone else has the same problem. Quote
Macross_Fanboy Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Well for me, it's strange, I was able to download Halo CE not long after I established my account and the game wouldn't play because of a region lock. Imagine my frustration when I was short 1400MS points or whatever. I needed to renew my account last year and when my wife sent me the code for a new account it didn't work and US MS points were equally "worthless." I find myself in a dilemma when it comes to specific DLC for certain games, at least Ace Combat hasn't been an issue. Quote
