Chronocidal Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) FML... 1st transformation of my 171EX and the top of the small wing pin snaps off. wtf Bandai Fortunately, that piece has about as much function as a solar powered spoon, so you're good to go. plastik Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 (edited) I know I'm late to the RVF Super Parts party but they came in the mail today. Christmas just got brighter Edited December 21, 2013 by plastik Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 (edited) when i first clicked i thought they were close ups of christmas ornaments. looks real good!!! Edited December 21, 2013 by davidwhangchoi Quote
Scyla Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 That looks mighty nice. Can't wait to put mine on after Christmas. Quote
close313 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Can you guys tell from the pictures, is the 25A's super's grey plastic as black as Ozma's armor parts or the same bluish grey colour as the other vf supers/altos armor parts. Pardon me as i get confused with the shades of grey (pun intended). Quote
Deadeye_281 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Nice shots Plastik. Love those ghosts. Quote
sreichma Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 That pose with the ghosts climbing is awesome. I think I may swipe the idea and adjust my set that that way. Quote
Scream Man Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Just some random desk pics with the panel lining done. Quote
Scyla Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 It is a clean lining job. To me the lines look a bit too dark so if I would've done it to my own drones I would've used a gray/dark gray color. If you like it that great. Quote
Gakken85 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Still haven't opened my super parts. Been too busy. Quote
XFJ-01A Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Not bad on the panel line job!Personally Markers are a little bit too dark for me in some cases, so I've taken up to using Gundam Pencils instead. Makes the lines pop, but not so noticeable as a marker. Quote
close313 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Does anyone know where i can get SMS numbering decals like the ones on the shoulder missile bays of the armored parts? Quote
Scyla Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Maybe Bandais 1/72nd scale Frontier kits have decals you can salvage. Quote
close313 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Maybe Bandais 1/72nd scale Frontier kits have decals you can salvage. Thinking of doing that too, but it may be a tad too small though. Quote
sreichma Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Trying to remember when the 25F was reissued so I could form a general window of when an Ozma reissue will happen in 14. I need a second one to keep safe in the box. I'm afraid to display it long term in fighter with the armor parts on because of the bar that pulls the legs in together. Don't know if it really could do anything or not, but it's a great distraction to justify buying another one and keeping it in the box! Quote
skullmilitia Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 The F got announced in April last year for July shipping FYI. Quote
BuGS21 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 (edited) Finally got to put on my G super pack. Was pleasantly surprised to find these parts to be tighter and have some addnt'l pegs to make em more solid. Something about blue makes it look just cool... Edited December 29, 2013 by BuGS21 Quote
sreichma Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I agree with the Blue comment. The 25G is my absolute favorite valk not just for the color but it's specialized combat role. Quote
ChaoticYeti Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) I've had some more time to play with my new VF-25F. These guys are pretty sweet! The ankles are perfect for gerwalk. Excited for my Isamu YF-29 to get here. Have any of you taken apart the shoulders to tighten them up? Clear nail polish trick work for these joints? Other joints? Scream Man Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 yeti - I use superglue to tighten the shouldrs, including the hinges where they swing forward, which can also get loose. Works a treat Quote
VF5SS Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 http://collectiondx.com/toy_review/2013/vf25a_messiah_valkyrie_general_use_type I'm fashionably late to the scale party with this review Quote
Scream Man Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 i thought you'd given up, you hadnt done a new Macross review in awhile man. Quote
VF5SS Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 let's just say there was a new luv in my life Quote
charger69 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 let's just say there was a new luv in my life Don't tell me that this luv is Muv-Luv? Quote
sreichma Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I may be all wrong here in this observation, but when i see the Alto VF-25F at $186.00 MIB at NY I think its a chance not to miss. I understand it's still a bit of a mark up, but that price for a valk that was once $300-$400 may be worth grabbing another copy. I don't think it will ever be reissued a third time. I know many have multiple copies, I'm just thinking out loud that I may pick another one up to keep sealed at that price. A bet a year from now it will be close to $300 everywhere outside of a seller on here. Quote
anime52k8 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I like the toy a lot, I think it's my single favorite Macross toy, but I still wouldn't pay over $150 before shipping for a second one. If I were so inclined as to buy a second, I'd grab one of the like new open box ones on Mandarake for 14,000 yen. (I might just do that when they announce the Tornado armor if they don't offer it as a bundle). Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I wouldn't mind getting a second one. The one I have is slightly faulty as there is something that causes the right shoulder part that joins to the chest and backplate to get stuck so I can't bend it down very far and ends up looking a bit weird. I also wouldn't mind a re-release of Ozma's 25S. I want one for fighter mode as the one I have is in battroid mode with the armor on and that armor is such a pain to handle that I prefer not to touch it at all. I'm sure there are also plenty of people that missed it the first time around that are waiting for the re-release. Quote
zzgundam010 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 It was not worth $300-400 (even there are people who paid that) and I doubt that it will ever sell for $300 again. Quote
Xigfrid Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I wouldn't mind a second Ozma either cause I got both the gun and a front gear flap broken Quote
sreichma Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 It'll hit $300 everywhere but from a seller on here and possibly mandarake. I know it isn't worth that, but I remember the years where that's what you had to pay if you wanted one because nobody would come off the ones they have. Switching gears, are there any common dates or months when bandai makes their announcements? Quote
zzgundam010 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 All those who are willing to pay $300 for one has already gotten one. I wonder how many of them are willing to pay another $300 for one more. Quote
CrazyDude Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Most Japanese companies make their announcements at shows and evens, online and in monthly publications. Hobby Japan and others are owned by Bandai. Quote
