Reïvaj Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 (edited) Define "fairly reasonable" in terms of armor pack, please? USD115.80 http://www.nippon-ya...ed-edition.html http://www.nippon-ya...ed-edition.html Well it was never reasonable anyway. You wouldn't expect to find them for less than $150, when someone in Japan who ordered directly from the Tamashii shop paid $100! If what you say is true, I think USD115 is fairly reasonable Edited May 22, 2012 by Reïvaj Quote
Dimis Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 That's reasonable because you could have been looking for this instead http://www.nippon-yasan.com/lang-en/figurines-autres/442-diecast-macross-dx-chogokin-macross-yf-29-super-parts-limited.html Quote
Reïvaj Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 That's reasonable because you could have been looking for this instead http://www.nippon-ya...ts-limited.html Yes, but that's off topic here. Axelay asked for the VF-25 armor pack. Still on topic you could've mentioned this: http://www.nippon-yasan.com/lang-en/macross/2455-macross-f-dx-chogokin-vf-25f-messiah-valkyrie-saotome-alto-custom-renewal-version-.html, but that wasn't the question either. lucki_mlf Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 they told me to send it back and will send the right one and refund the shipping fee. Will take more than 3 weeks, not sure how i will do this. Quote

lucki_mlf Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 how much does nippon-yasan charge for a 25 to the US? not going to buy one just wondering. to europe is around 20 euro, to US i think its 30 Quote
buckethead523 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 In case anyone's still looking for Alto http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-763862.html Man that Alto was tempting, but it says the box is damaged, and they want $314 bucks for it. I'll hold out for it. My Macross spending limit is 250 bucks :-/ At least that's what my wife tells me ;-) Quote
Murphy Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 In case anyone's still looking for Alto http://ekizo.mandara...m_s-763862.html ouch 25000 yen too much for my blood, what do they mean by unused yet resealed? Quote

buckethead523 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 ouch 25000 yen too much for my blood, what do they mean by unused yet resealed? Maybe they used it for display purposes at the store? Or maybe the box was damaged so they opened it to check to make sure it was ok then resealed it. Either way it's way too pricey for me. Boy am I mad at Bandai, they have these great items, yet they only make 5,000 of them, so your left to buy it on eBay for 3x the price. I get they don't want shelf warmers, but the demand is high! Release a few more and do your fans right and give us an option to order one before all the scalpers do. /end rant Quote
shawnlee1981 Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 ouch 25000 yen too much for my blood, what do they mean by unused yet resealed? Oh unused and resealed means that the set has been previously opened for QC check and then resealed. This is very common for japan as every batch of figures usually has 1 or 2 opened to check for any defects before delivery! Quote
valid Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 i chip my paint.. because of the fast pack.. damn.. careful with the exhaust armor.. i will post the pict later Quote
kamadoma Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 I really wonder why Bandai can't use any durable kind of paint for these DXs. Quote
Lynk Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 I was soooooo careful when putting on the Super packs onto my VF-25F and S... took ages to get them both on but it was worth it, the paint remains untouched, though the stress of taking the super parts off of the 25S and sticking on the armour pack when it arrives is gonna be huge. Quote
Reïvaj Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 To me it’s such a disappointment they haven’t improved that. Quote
ultraman zoffy Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I don't stress nearly as much about the paint on these toys as I do about all the ball joints loosening up eventually... anyone ever post tips on tightening up the VF-25 joints? Particularly the feet and shoulders. Quote
Murphy Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 just snagged this a couple of min ago, yea its opened/used but knowing mandarake it probably is in almost new condition. http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-824686.html Quote
ErikElvis Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Is it possible to get an idea on how many of these things were actually produced on their runs? Quote
mechaninac Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 That's the best price I've seen on those lately, but still grossly over-priced to me; I'll take a chance on Bandai eventually doing a re-issue for the renewal 25S, probably some time after they release a G and RVF versions... I just hope that when/if it happens I will be able to snag a pre-order in time, as experience with the new Frontier DXs proves that if you snooze, you lose. Quote
nanoplasm Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I was informed that YF-29 reissue was also massively under produced. Do contact your pre-order location to ensure you are allocated a unit. Quote
Archer Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 What's happening with Bandai's factories as of late? Is someone setting fire to every other building to troll or something.... Quote
xrentonx Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 I just emailed HLJ about the Durandal to make sure I'm allocated one on my preorder. Fingers crossed... Quote
Chronocidal Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 (edited) Seriously, what the crap is up with them? Do they actually want to create a shortage of their own products, just to drive up demand so they can release more later and sell out? I guess.. fortunately, I'm not all that concerned if I get a YF-29 or not. It'd be nice to have, but it would probably never leave fighter mode anyway, and I can live with the 1/100 kits I've got for that. I mean.. I love what they've done with the VF-25 renewal, but actually transforming them just isn't fun for me. I actually do enjoy transforming my Yamatos every once in a while, but with Bandai's stuff, I'm constantly paranoid that I'm going to break something, or scratch off paint, or whatever else can go wrong. Might be due to the more complicated transformation with the VF-25, but the way all the parts hang off each other going to battroid just feels like it's asking to break apart. Edited May 26, 2012 by Chronocidal Quote
Dutch Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 If my VF-29 order isn't filled I won't even care, there is still the VF-4 and VF-171 ex to come as well as the VF-17d. Quote
lechuck Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Just got lucky and was able to score a YF-29 at anime-export. Quote
