sidearmsalpha Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 (edited) Hey all, I have a Sega Nomad that has a very loose volume dial. It's very sensitive, and I lose the sound completely if I barely touch it. Anyway, I need to open it to see if I can fix it, but the screws aren't normal screws. Anyone know what type of tool or screwdriver I need? Also, I live in the South SF Bay Area. If you know where I can find it, that would also be a big help. Edited December 4, 2003 by sidearmsalpha

Ask for part nos. 22-1150 and 22-1145 when ordering. Not affiliated with them, just a satisfied customer who was happy to be able to take apart Game Gear cartridges with said bits. MCM Electronics 650 Congress Park Dr Centerville Oh 45459-4072 1-800-543-4330 http://www.mcmelectronics.com I don't work for or with Sega, I'm just a satisfied customer who is really into portable video game systems. Got that from an FAQ you can find at: http://www.studio42.com/vidgame/SGNomad/nomadfaq.shtml Hopefully that'll help you out sidearms. I had a similar problem when I was trying to take apart my N64, since that used a weird hexagonal screw.
NERV Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 odd, maybe theres regular screws and 1 security scre win the nomad, an alan key should work with that, just ned right size
