That's technically true of Yamato releases, is that always true of Bandai though?

Bandai seems to often release stuff earlier in the month rather than at the last possible day like Yamato does.

I just got my NY e-mail telling me that the Armored Parts are available and I have until December 24th to pay or the order will be cancelled. This is the first of such communications I have received. Has anyone else had this happen?

NY's e-mail's tone sounds a bit harsh... but explains the issue in short. Pay it now or dissolve!

Funny, when I went to pay, the price went from $109 USD to $94 USD. I had to check several times to make certain I didn't do something wrong, but it was indeed the correct product with a lower price and the shipping price went down as well.

That was a bit of a pleasant suprise. Maybe that is making up for the short time-frame required to pay and the harshness of the wording.

I didn't notice the price dropped on the Armor Parts for me when I paid the other night. Hmm...

Yeah, my parts went from $72.79 to $68.65 and my shipping went from $37.04 to $25.42. Same parts and same shipping method. I don't get why, but I'm not complaining.

Got my email early this morning, too. Can't wait to get them!

Maybe exchange rate fluctuation? Yen has been dropping like a rock since late November. Checking my Paypal receipt, it looks like my price is even different from yours. The parts are $68.91 and my shipping is $24.32. That compares to the figure of $72.35 for the parts, plus $25.54 shipping when I first preordered back in July.

I got the same email from NY telling me I had until the 24th to pay. I thought they gave you 2-3 weeks notice, maybe they meant 2-3 days.

And what's interesting is the site is currently down for maintenance. Kinda hard to pay fast when I can't get to my account.

N-Y has a notice on their homepage now explaining their new system. You can now pay at anytime when you log in. Just check your orders. They say that they will now just give you a reminder when it gets close. Doesn't sound like they will send invoices anymore.

Every time I try to pay it adds one to my cart and makes me select shipping and then pre order as if I am just now pre ordering it. I asked them about this last night, because I wanted to pay it off. Then this morning I get the e-mail telling me I need to pay the invoice lol, but I still have the same problem. I do want this though, so I hope they fix my account. I didn't have any problems paying for the VF-4 though.

It's like I am starting a new pre order, because once I select the shipping type (which I did when I made the pre order) it then proceeds to take me to the next page which only displays a pre order button on the bottom right. If I click that it then takes you the the pre order disclaimer check box to submit the pre-order.

I just tried again with a different pre order and it takes me directly to the select payment page like it did when I payed for the VF-4. I only have this problem with my 171 armor parts order.

Both my 171 parts and my SH Monsterarts Godzilla jr did the same thing. I just clicked the pre-order button, checked the disclaimer box and continued on with the process. Now both of them say "payment OK" in my history.

Thanks, I decided to try putting it through and it worked itself out.

Hi, about the price changes is all exchange rates, when you pay now with the new system they calculate the price in yens and transform again in dollars with the actual exchange rate (you pay less dollars now).

And with the new system when you go to your account and press in pay now you go to a preorder cart (they add the units to your cart as you did when you preordered it) where you can change the shipping method and push preorder next step to go to payment page and pay the item. I paid for my armored parts and VF-4 without problem.

I have been detecting all kinds of weirdness on the site since the change. Sometime I can't change the language, and other times I cant delete items from cart. And I also have the 2 different ways to pay for pre orders. Some of my orders take me to the payment page and others I have to pre-order it again then pay.

Yeah, I've decided to pass. I want to switch to the cf version anyway, which won't look quite as slick with the armor.

The fact that all my valks are in storage makes these decisions easier, I think.
