Mommar Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Who cares about the option parts? Let's just see the valk already. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Yes, lots of pretty pictures so I can drool over until I get mine Quote
derex3592 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 HLJ got my problem cleared up. Paypal payment went through and my Valk should be here in a few days! Quote
Vi-RS Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Curious to see the pilot's markings. It's the same pilot seen in CF-1J. Quote
Loop Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) The thing is that Mechapilot77 received his and he confirmed that despite having the 30th anniversary band on the box it came with no option parts. オプションパーツ付き = With optional parts though I guess I won't know until I release mine from the HLJ warehouse. Does no one else have this valk yet? Edited August 1, 2012 by Loop Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) as promised some photos. not my best work. had to hurry...light was already fading when i started but really getting faint by the time i got into battroid mode. had to edit the colors slightly so you can see what it really looks like.....someday i'll take pictures with better, more and diffuse light Edited August 1, 2012 by Mechapilot77 Quote
mass driver Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Wow, that actually looks pretty good... Damn, I might have to break down and get one. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Someone is finnally posting pics!!! Thank you Mechapilot77, can't wait to receive mine. The question is which of my two preorders will arrive first, HLJ or ishop2go?? Quote
caslon Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Paid but haven't receive the shipping notification yet... Quote
caslon Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Does it come with the optional parts then? I'm curious about that!! Quote
derex3592 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Paid but haven't receive the shipping notification yet... Same boat over here..... Quote
caslon Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Same boat over here..... Maybe they are busy of "packing" the parts for us...hehe!! Quote
DarrinG Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 The darker colors look better than the early navy blue promo pics. Still, no option parts is just silly... Quote
ErikElvis Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Doesn't the picture of the box on the previous page say its with option parts? Not that I really care if it has them as I haven't bought a valk with them yet. So I don't know what I'm missing anyway. Quote
Wasabi-san Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 HLJ.com is now shipping the Cavaliers and one of the repeat VF-1's. Quote
genomcorp Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 digging the darker look to this one. can't wait for mine to arrive from HLJ! Quote
derex3592 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) funny---I was thinking it looked a little TOOOO dark for my liking....almost black. I'll have to wait and see it in person. you know...how COOL would this have been as a two seater...kinda Navy F-14 luv... Edited August 1, 2012 by derex3592 Quote
DarrinG Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) It needs a Stealth GBP release to go with it. Hard to believe Yamato hasn't milked the new V2 GBP armor yet, has to be in the works. That's too much tooling cost for only one version... Edited August 1, 2012 by DarrinG Quote
derex3592 Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 no tooling cost needed! Just use the VF-1D cockpit nose part. Instant 2 seater! Quote
DarrinG Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I meant tooling cost for the V2 GBP. They made a great armor set but have only released the blue and red TV version. They need a city camo or stealth GBP release to go with this cavalier... Quote

Yup...It's really funny that Yamato released more custom schemes on 1/48, but never milked their moulds much on the V2 1/60 which they do have more official schemes from TV and Dyrl though. Quote

Wasabi-san Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) ...Kinda like the box art from the 80's, with GBP schemes such as Milia's red, Max's blue, or the fodder brown colored armors. I painted my 1/48 GBP-clad fodder 1A like the prototype woodland pictures that had the shoulder and arm covers in a mint green, and the chest and arm covers in flat red. I might paint the fodder like the armor...someday. Edited August 2, 2012 by Wasabi-san Quote
DarrinG Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I know which one you mean by the CF red and brown GBP - I would grab that one instantly... Quote
Golden Arms Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Ditto on the custom GBP armor. They have so many schemes they could do. Same with the Fast pack armor. They should release several custom or never released before valks with newly colored aromr and or fastpacks. Quote
Murphy Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Just got mine from AMIAMI, no option parts included but it did have the 30th anniversary sticker on it. Quote
Loop Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Just got mine from AMIAMI, no option parts included but it did have the 30th anniversary sticker on it. Not too big of an issue for me, but really seems like they dropped the ball. I only own 2 VF-1's that have the option parts so they are a minority in my collection. Quote
Omegablue Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Well I sold my Hikaru 1S to get the new version with option parts, also for the modified transformation bits and shoulders. Quote
Murphy Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I love it! On the box it shows a tv green/blue pilot but it comes with a tv yellow one. Also the leg UN logo looks kinda funny not being centered. Quote
Omegablue Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 On the box it shows a tv green/blue pilot but it comes with a tv yellow one. That's a bit of a miss there. Quote
caslon Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Just got mine from AMIAMI, no option parts included but it did have the 30th anniversary sticker on it. This is totally not good and insanely unfair to us...hate it!!! Quote
