halonameis Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 How much would you guys be willing to pay for a 1/24 scale ultra detailed VF-1 from Yamato? When i say ultra detail i mean removeable fusilage panels to reveal interior detail like the engines, frame work, and a true perfect transformation. No more swing bar for the legs, but just like the line art shows, legs that swing from hydrolic hard points and then connect to the nose/crotch for batteroid. And no more gimicks like plug in pieces to fill in gaps to the body, that should all be intergrated. oh and lastly, a pilots seat that comes out through the neck. Quote
charger69 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 (edited) That would be a giant toy over $1000! Edited February 3, 2012 by charger69 Quote
Old Man Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 That would be a giant toy over $1000! I'd pay at least that much. Quote
halonameis Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 but freaking sweet i was thinking about 500 bucks Quote
eugimon Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 It would be cool... But I just don't want a two foot tall valk. Quote
zulu Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Wasn't there a board member a couple of years ago that buildt one from scratch? I remember seeing monthly updates on his progress and it looked sooooo badass. I wonder if he ever finished that project? Anybody know? Quote
Phalanix Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 (edited) $500-$800? As long as they don't start coming out with all sorts of variants and repaints. LOL Edited February 4, 2012 by Phalanix Quote
GXPT2000 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 that would be very hard...,i know for sure I would not buy one, and I don't think it will sell well at all...it might not be worth the mold to make profit, and probably not worth trying out new technologies...and really? Milking such a huge valk would be very hard... Quote
UN Spacy Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I'm sick and tired of the VF-1. Please tell me I'm not the onyl one. Yamato has given us enough (and then some) for two lifetimes. Quote

That project was looking very sweet. Quote
connor99 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I wouldn't mind having one more VF-1 in my collection, specially if it's in that size. The deal breaker for me though is the price and if the prices on the Ver.2 VF-1s are any indication, this baby would probably cost an arm and a leg. Quote
Kicker773 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 from what i recall it was finished plus there's a kit for sale of it out. Quote
eriku Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I'd buy one, although I would prefer 1/18 scale so my old Robotech figures can fit inside. Always room for more VF-1 toys in my book, its one design I will never get sick of. Quote

Have you heard anything from Yamato regarding that possibility? Quote
VF-18S Hornet Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I'm with you, I think 1/18th scale would be better. wait a minute, that scale would make it much bigger than the 1/24 scale. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Math+3D geometry=8 times the size of a 1/48. Quote

MyClone Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Honestly, for that kind of money, I'd prefer a vintage style jumbo Valk in battroid mode, like the Stormtrooper Super 7 released a couple years ago: http://starwars.super7store.com/ Best, MyClone Quote
EXO Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I'm sick and tired of the VF-1. Please tell me I'm not the onyl one. Yamato has given us enough (and then some) for two lifetimes. Before I used to think that I was getting tired of the VF-1. But as more and more valks come out, all it takes is a good rendition of the VF-1 for me to know that I'd start collecting a whole line all over again. I mean thank goodness they didn't finish the Bandai 1/100 line. A 1/24 would kill me (because I only have one kidney left after the 1/48s and the v.2 1/60s). Gah! I need a drink! Quote
jenius Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I think almost all of this could be done in 1/48 or 1/35 these days. 1/24 or 1/18 is too big. Quote
Vifam7 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Make it 1/12 scale so i can insert in my Figmas. Quote
jenius Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 1/6 scale so it could fit the toynami pilots Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Make it 1/18 and able to fit GI Joes and I'm in Quote
Archer Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 How bout all that in good o'l 1/48 scale so that it's decently sized, and kills all other toy tech to date (and it won't cost $600 ) Quote
