Kelsain Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 It's so cute!!! I also love that the box art is just an SD version of the 1/72 kit, even the Macross itself. Quote
M'Kyuun Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Pretty cool. Be neat if it transformed...granted it'd have to be greatly simplified, but still... Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Cute. Let's hope they do a YF-21 to match. Quote
Graham Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Makes me wanna watch Macross Plus again (not that I ever need much of an excuse) Graham Quote
grapetang Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Would've preferred a rounder windshield in the front but this is just too darn cute! Great box cover art too! Quote
naoto Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 (edited) > Great box cover art too! ... created by the same artist (Hidetaka Tenjin) that drew the "normal" version artwork... (speaking of which.. IIRC the Eggplane VF-1A/J and VF-1S Strike/Super artwork appears in the second "Valkyries" book. I don't recall eggplane VF-19 artwork appearing in that book, so perhaps there could be a third book in the series?) http://www.hlj.com/s...eries=All&Dis=2 And on a somewhat related topic... Who else really wishes that there were figures of the Eggplane girls (drawn by Takashi Fujisawa) ? There was some talk about that a number of years ago not long after they made their appearance on the boxart (especially after the appearance of what appeared to be a prototype at one of the hobby shows). So far the closest we've gotten to having that is one of the pilot figures in the F-22 kit (one "normal" generic pilot and one "character" figure which could be painted to look like the girl on the boxart). And of course... it would be amusing to see Eggplane girls cosplaying as Macross characters... Edited January 26, 2012 by naoto Quote
neoexcaliber Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 That's weird. Some of the pictures makes me think my eyes aren't working properly. Must be coz I've been looking at a normal yf-19 for years. Quote
