UN Spacy Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 So it'll hold the 7 BD's for the tv series AND 2 BD's for the movies? Quote
Keith Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 7 for the series, 1 for the first movie, 2 for the second. At least according to google translate. Quote
Dobber Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Can someone tell me what the difference is between the 2 other Blu-Ray versions? One is more expensive than the other. There are 3 blu-Ray listings total; the one that Keith described and then 2 others. What are the differences between the 2 other blu-Rays? Chris Quote
joppewo Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) From what I understand, the pricier limited edition comes with an additional disc which contains 180 minutes of extras; [stage greeting video (2), special number (2), event video, Gekitomo recording landscape, Itsukushima shrine hit prayer video] The listing seems to also state that it will come with a storyboard collection. What are the differences between the 2 other blu-Rays?Chris Cheaper Blu-Ray is a single disc with the movie and 38 minutes of extras; "Midrange" price Blu-Ray is that same disc plus a 2nd disc with extras; Pricier version is the same as the midrange plus the box for the entire collection and a storyboard booklet - basically the same as the previous theatre limited editions + a box. Also, it seems this will be a limited edition and an Amazon exclusive. Edited January 23, 2015 by westfall Quote
Dobber Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Thanks guys! I think I'll just stick with the basic Blu-Ray. I can't speak Japanese so the extra's are wasted on me and don't really care about the box....I like it, but not for that price. Chris Quote
westfall Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 A small correction. There will be no storyboard booklet but the storyboards seem to be included as part of the 2nd extras disc. Perhaps in some sort of animatic form. Quote

Chris The box is only $30 more, at that price, you can't afford "not" to get it! Quote
UN Spacy Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Definitely going for the box set version. BUT...it looks like I'll be ordering the first movie as well. Anyone know if Amazon will charge me NOW or in May if I group both BD's together in one shipment? Quote
Dobber Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I **THINK** that you will be charged for the portion of the order that is currently available. Chris Quote
Keith Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 They'll hold the full order 'til May, 'cus that's how Amazon.jp rolls. Quote
Falcon Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 And, I thonk it says the box version comes with a digipack to hold the series. http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B00SH08DWM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 So this one has both movies and the series in English subtitles as well? What do you mean digipack? Is it a USB with the series? Quote

treatment Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Well, Yurisha is delayed until next month, but my Yuki v2 is paid to be delivered in the next two weeks or so. Yay!!! At any rate, while we await for other SBY stuff, here's an SBY homage from a very awesome show: http://youtu.be/trvpHl-Nnk0?t=13m4s Quote

Dobber Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 So I'm guessing Bandai is done with the 1/1000 - 1/72 ship/vehicle porn that we have been enjoying for a few years. . It was fun while it lasted Chris Quote

It was fun while it lasted Chris Other than a couple more Gatlantis ships, haven't they run out of subject matter for 1/1000 line? And unless Bandai decides to delve into the Gamillas fighters and fighter bombers, maybe something from Gatlantis or Cosmo Navy, wouldn't that be the case for 1/72 as well? Quote

And unless Bandai decides to delve into the Gamillas fighters and fighter bombers, maybe something from Gatlantis or Cosmo Navy, wouldn't that be the case for 1/72 as well?True, regarding the 1/1000 line...but considering the majority of the 1/1000 line are Garmilla ships there are several fighters and attack ships from the Garmilla that can be done in 1/72....6 IIRC not counting recolor releases for different squadrons ect like what was done for the Zero and Falcon releases. Then there are the Type 100 scout plane (at least 2 possible release color/variants) and the Cosmo Seagull for earth. Releasing 1 a month, similar to what they did with the 1/1000 line, would give them nearly a year....if not a full year counting variant duplicates.......of releases.Chris Edited February 8, 2015 by Dobber Quote
mechaninac Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Regarding the 1/72 subjects, Bandai definitely could, but will they?... which is why I added "...unless Bandai decides to delve into..." to my second sentence. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for them to do so, although my wallet begs to differ, but I don't expect them to go there. Quote
Dobber Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Yeah I know, wasn't arguing...just lamenting their (bandai's) obvious decision to abandon the 1/72 line. Chris Quote
electric indigo Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 I would be happy with just the DWG 262 in 1/72... Maybe some garage kit will come to the rescue. Quote
