Dobber Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 (edited) Frame out models is releasing a 1/72 resin Cosmo Falcon. http://frameout.blog67.fc2.com/blog-entry-458.html Looking forward to hearing more from the Chara hobby show that is going on this weekend. Thanks for the heads up on the Fleet pre-order. Placed mine at HLJ. Chris Edited August 25, 2012 by Dobber Quote
antibiotictab Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 (edited) An interesting talk meeting it was. I was surprised to hear that there was a plan that Higuchi-san made the real-action Yamato movie existed before. Kimura's movie was hated by many fans. If Higuchi-san had made it, it would have been a much better. About the warp out scene. Izubuchi-san saied to higuchi-san "Nantonaku Derotteru." He wanted to say it reminded him of DeLo-something from another movie. lol De Lorean. Ah, in watching the show, I suddenly warped in ...and went to about the 20 minutes future... Hmm. I don't know what kind of contents were talked by them. I stayed up late the day before... Sorry. The other things were talked among them, but the most impressive contents were those ones. 4' post='992224[/size]']Frame out models is releasing a 1/72 resin Cosmo Falcon. http://frameout.blog...-entry-458.html Looking forward to hearing more from the Chara hobby show that is going on this weekend. UN Spacy Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Thanks! I definitely wanna get all those 1/1000 ships. Who's making that Kodai figure? It'd go great if it's in scale with Megahouse's Yuki Mori. Quote
antibiotictab Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) Who's making that Kodai figure? It'd go great if it's in scale with Megahouse's Yuki Mori. This Kodai is the one-off resin cast kit made by TOMO for Wonderfest 2012 Summer. I didn't go to Wan-fes, but in serching the information, I found this one had already been sold there. I heard one MW member went there and took some pictures about Macross. He might have been busy to catch up with the Macorss related things and missed the Yamato ones. This news has already been announced in the Yamato Crew web site. http://yamatocrew.jp...2s/gg_1-7_kodai Edited August 29, 2012 by antibiotictab Quote
Mechleader Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 ok so who is releasing the 1/72 fighters? Is Bandai or Hase or Fine Molds??? Quote
wm cheng Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 My bet would be Bandai... part of their EX collection. I would love it to be Hasegawa though, but I think Bandai has got the rights tied up tight. Quote
westfall Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 If i'm not mistaken the Falcon kit is a resin kit by a garage kit maker (don't recall the name) and its a pricey one. With the 3 ship kit at less than 30 bucks, paying almost 150 for a fighter... no thanks. I'm certain Bandai will put those out eventually and at a much better price. Hope they make some figures, even if they're in gashapon form. The dream would be a full crew roster as well as the main Gamilas cast but i guess if they do do it, it will be only for the main characters, like Megahouse did with the original series a few years ago. I have that set and its great but ots only Kodai, Yuki, Okita, Dessler and Starsha's bust. Quote
Tochiro Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 You mean THIS Kodai figure? :-) (I actually took my eyes off the Yamato Girls at Wonderfest long enough to take this :-) ...and yes, Im proud of myself for doing so). Also, mutant Yuki needs a place for her third arm. Quote
Tochiro Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 The latest compilation of Yamato 2199 has been posted over at Starblazers.com. http://www.starblazers.com/html.php?page_id=105 And it happens to include the first half of an event report by yours truly :-) http://www.starblazers.com/html.php?page_id=310 Quote
wm cheng Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Slightly off topic here (but I couldn't seem to find a thread dedicated to this) - did anyone see the live action Yamato film 2yrs ago? I loved it, I take it the reaction from Japan or here on these boards was not so favourable - I don't see any discussion of it. Anyways, does anyone know if any models were ever made of the interpretations of that film? Quote
Dobber Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I like the movie too. From what I remember reaction to the movie was so so. As for models, unfortunately none where made...not even Yamato herself. Kind of sucks. Here is a fan custom that somebody made of the movie Yamato. http://www.geocities.jp/dourakuoyadi/newpage500SBY-10.htm'>http://www.geocities.jp/dourakuoyadi/newpage500SBY-10.htm Build-up here: http://www.geocities.jp/dourakuoyadi/newpage500SBY-1 Personally, I would've loved a kit of the movie Yamato and the Cosmo Tiger. The Zero was ok for me. Also liked the earth ship designs that were briefly seen at the beginning during the battle of Mars. Chris Quote
wm cheng Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 OMG! That Yamato build is EPIC - I can't believe that's 1/1000 scale - the handrails... I am so humbled. I love that metallic scheme. Truely amazing, thanks so much for the link. Now my 1/350 Bandai seems so plain ;-( Yep, I liked the other earth federation capital ships too. Quote
Dobber Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) New profiles on a new Gamilon fighter...both standard and the red Ace version. http://yamato2199.net/mecha/gamirasu_air04b.html http://yamato2199.net/mecha/gamirasu_air04.html Models of all the fighters NEED to be made!! A new Gamilon BattleCruiser...I read there is speculation that this is actually an old ship that Yamato encounters. http://yamato2199.net/mecha/gamirasu_sn06.html Other character profile updates are also on the 2199 site. Love this picture of Yamato with the new "old" ship Chris Edited October 4, 2012 by Dobber Quote

There are no videos about it on Youtube and NicoNico Douga now. Hmm, Bandai Channel might have deleted. And the special program about it is aired on Oct 6 on "customary" Tokyo MX TV. I know it just now. From 3 pm. The special screening of the day before the official one is held on Oct 12. The stage greeting is held. Yama-chan comes on Oct 13. The tickets are now on sale. Tickets are slightly remaining. The wrapping train. http://ktr-tetsudo.jp/railroad/wrapping/index.html#anc02 This train company did the same thing about K-on the movie before. Quote
TehPW Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 hmm... Gun turrets on the sides... maybe from the ship's flight logs is where engineers get the idea for side mounted turrets on the EDF era ships... assuming we see 'The Comet Empire' as a series after this... Quote

westfall Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 (edited) So, as i poped to the yamato2199.net page i was surprised to fing a huge increase in the characters section. Not 1, not 2... but 5 new Gamilas characters. The first two are easily recognizable and correct me if i'm wrong but, did Hizubuchi just found a way to explain why the Talan in season 1 looks so different from the Talan in season 2 and forward. Those who can read the cards, chip in. Verute (Welte) Talan http://yamato2199.ne...cter_welte.html Gaderu (Ghader) Talan (Faces only) http://yamato2199.ne...ter_ghader.html Garu (Gal) Deitz - from the last name i'm guessing this is Melda's father. http://yamato2199.ne...racter_gal.html Herumu Zeerikku (Helm Zoell http://yamato2199.ne...r_zoellick.html Haidomu Gimuruu (Gimill) http://yamato2199.ne...ter_gimill.html There's also a PV of the upcoming concert with this nice piece of art next to it. http://yamato2199.ne...nd20121005a.jpg And here's the Concert PV video. Dynaman Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 First thing I noticed in the Blue Ray preview is the girl - was she Gantz's daughter? (Pluto Base commander, I probably used the wrong name). If it is, and the Yamato crew have to make a moral decision regarding civilians then this show could go from excellent to wicked gnarly (I'm stuck in the eighties you see) Quote
