ErikElvis Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I would love one. Doesn't need any fancy gimmicks. Just a nice standalone version. Of course Id prefer the X-9 but they all intrigue me in some way. Im sure R&D wouldn't be hard. I doubt would sell for big bucks either. Im surprised it hasn't been done. Quote
EXO Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I think they would have done by now, but I could be wrong. It does seem like they finished the Macross Plus line for now and they seem to be on the Macross 7 kick. I'm not sure if they can even sell anything for cheap at this time. The price of the VF-17 scares me into believing that something like the ghost would end up costing about $100. Again, pure speculation on my part. I'm really curious to see how the 17 is going to do and what they're gonna do after. Quote
ErikElvis Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 I actually just looked in the for sale section and saw a Ghost for VF-25 by Bandai. I had no idea. I looked up pictures and seems pretty small. And they seem to go for around $100. Quote
GXPT2000 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 (edited) there is also always the macross zero ghost booster(does that even count?) Edited November 3, 2011 by GXPT2000 Quote
treatment Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 there is also always the macross zero ghost booster(does that even count?) of course, it does. why would it not? when it's standalone, it's a Ghost. when paired with the VF-0, it's a Ghost-Booster. Heck! The old A-version was called Ghost. Quote
anime52k8 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 All drone fighters in Macross have been called Ghosts, it's sort of a franchise tradition. and as others have pointed out Yamato released QF-2001 ghosts as part of their Macross Zero line and Bandai released an AIF-7S (QF-4000) ghost as part of than add on set for the RVF-25. IIRC, the QF-2001 stand alone sets never sold particularly well and could be had at considerable discount when they where still available. The Bandai ghost's where web exclusives which came with a bunch of other add on parts and cost way too much to begin with. Personally I'd love to buy an X-9 Ghost if it had similar construction and price to the Sound Booster (i.e. clear parts, working landing gear and opening missile bay for about $100) and I'd be willing to pay more if it came with it's Super parts. and Beyond that I'd really love a QF-3000: Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 I wouldn't mind an AIF-9V that was used by the Galaxy fleet as long as it wasn't nearly $100 like the accessory pack for the RVF-25. Quote
anime52k8 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 It would be worth $100 if it wasn't just a little hunk of plastic with no metal, internal detail or articulation of any kind. Quote
ff95gj Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 US$100 would be too expensive for this and a few missiles. Though I didn't get it real cheap either. Quote
Graham Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 IIRC, I paid under HK$500 for the Bandai Ghost & Missile set. Graham Quote
bowman Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 A Yamato 1/60 X-9 is on my wishlist. But not willing to pay for it if it is gonna cost me $100. Quote
Kicker773 Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Anyone have pictures in detail of galaxy's ghosts? Quote
derex3592 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 i would by a 1:60 Ghost x-9 from Mac Plus in a heartbeat. Quote
Reïvaj Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 i would by a 1:60 Ghost x-9 from Mac Plus in a heartbeat. Me too. Quote

Valkyrie23 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 i would by a 1:60 Ghost x-9 from Mac Plus in a heartbeat. Me four. Who wouldn't love a Sharon Apple red super evil AI ghost? I swear there was a garage kit of that before posted somewhere around here Quote
CF18 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 May be Yamato can release Ghost X-9 with Super part as a small model kit like the Fan Racer. Does it even has landing gear? Quote
derex3592 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 I would be in for that...what does the Super part for the Ghost look like anyway??? Quote
CF18 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 http://www.macross2.net/m3/macrossplus/x9-ghost.htm vs Quote
GU-11 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Me four. Who wouldn't love a Sharon Apple red super evil AI ghost? I swear there was a garage kit of that before posted somewhere around here Me five. Even better if they included a clear plastic "hologram" Sharon Apple, or that console unit thing she travels around in. Then again, if it's gonna drive the price up, I'll happily take just the X-9. Quote
Uxi Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 I'd get it. Ideally, we could get the QF-2001 (Zero0), QF-3000E (SDF), and X-9 (Plus) Ghosts in some sort of evolution pack? Along with 2 or 3-packs of former? Maybe throw in a couple 1/60 pilot and standing figs? Ground crews? Weapons packs? (I'd love AMRAAM's and AIM-9X that could mount on a VF-1 pylon). Quote
firmpulse Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 May be Yamato can release Ghost X-9 with Super part as a small model kit like the Fan Racer. Does it even has landing gear? i'd buy that in a heartbeat Quote
derex3592 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 See Yamato! there are at least 6 people here EAGER to give you $$$ for a product! MAKE IT! Quote
Actar Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 My god, being a die-hard Macross Plus and YF-21 fan, I'll kill for one. I'm dying to recreate the climactic battle between Guld and the X-9 in all its glory. Quote

Yeah, just take a $250 toy and slam it into a $150 toy as hard as you can so that they both break into a million pieces. If and when that happens be sure to film it. Quote
lorn_13 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I got this a long time ago. It's a resin kit of X-9 not sure about scale. Quote
Reïvaj Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Yeah, I really want it! Come on, Yamato! Quote
GXPT2000 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) that looks like it is around the 1/48 scale. Edited November 11, 2011 by GXPT2000 Quote
derex3592 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I'm willing to be one of our MW geniuses around here could make a preeeety cool resin kit of this in 1:60...... . I'll bet there would be enough interest. Quote
ErikElvis Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 (edited) would be nice to have a holographic see through kinda card to display behind it with sharon apple pic and Isamu written all over it. I think it would be a winner. And I don't my my stamp of approval on many things. Who doesn't love plus and wouldn't want to complete the collection with a 1/60 ghost Edited November 12, 2011 by ErikElvis Quote
