drkstar00 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) The only rule? You can NOT -under any circumstances- list more than one absolute favorite toy. Pour moi? My Takatoku hands down: And thou? Edited October 24, 2011 by drkstar00 Quote
ff95gj Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 If I can have only one... It's a tough choice between my 1/48 and 1/60 VF-1S. I choose the TV 1/60 VF-1S then. The 1/48 loses for its chicken hands. And the TV 1S can serve as Focker's valk or Hikayu's valk. But if I REALLY can have one valk, I may as well don't own any. Valks are best in squads. Quote
Lynk Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 1/3000 SDF-1 Macross DYRL? version It's the figurehead for my PC named "MACROSS" it just looks glorious displayed like that. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I think I'll wait until after I own a V2 VF-25 to answer this. Quote
typhoon Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I think I change favorites from time-to-time. Having said that I still go back to my 1/48 SKULL 001 with strike pack as my all time favorite. Quote
Renato Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I change favourites, too. I really want to say the 1/60 Fire Valkyrie because it's such an excellent toy, but I'm just so afraid of touching it because it's so expensive, that it actually takes a lot of the fun away. Maybe the VF-11C? Quote
Kyp Durron Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I think I'll wait until after I own a V2 VF-25 to answer this. This. -Kyp Quote
ff95gj Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I think I'll wait until after I own a V2 VF-25 to answer this. It really gets close to v2 VF-1 this time. For me. Still, I chose VF-1 if I can only own one. Quote
Shaorin Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) though i'm REALLY loving my new YF-19 1/60v.I, neither it, nor any other Valk could ever usurp my 1/60v.II VF-1J Hikaru T.V. as my no.1 favorite MACROSS toy. it's simply the finest iteration, to date, IMO, of my favorite variant of what i consider to be the finest Mecha design of all time, variable form or otherwise... Tober Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Yamato 1/48 DYRL VF-1S Hikaru with Strike Packs. I only have the one 1/48 and that's it. I have about ten 1/60s which I also like a lot. But the 1/48 was such a milestone. And its bigger despite its few faults. Quote
jenius Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I think it's any of these three currently. Quote
Graham Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Changes from time to time. Currently a joint tie between the Yamato 1/60 VF-19Kai and the Bandai 1/60 v.2 VF-25F. In the past it has been: Yamato 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru with Strike Packs. Yamato 1/60 VF-11B. Yamato 1/60 VF-0S. Bandai 1/65 VF-17D DX. Bandai 1/55 VF-1S Hikaru Strike Valk. Graham Quote
Mog Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Something nobody else has. (Well, technically, the stickers and scheme are what make it unique.) Quote
Frogze Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 1/60 VF-1D Ver.2 So iconic Absolutely! VF-1D is my pick as well Quote
Nicaragua Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 1/60 YF-21 I love the shape of it in fighter and battroid mode and i like how it transforms so differently to every other valk. Quote
reeoyuy Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 YF-19 Double Nuts for me. Technically it's not best, but I just love that color scheme. Quote
kamadoma Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Yamato 1/60 Fire Valkyrie with Sound Boosters. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Tough decision, if I'm allowed to keep only one then it's the 1/60 VF-1S Low Visibility. Quote
alchemo Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 If I'm allowed to keep just one then it is the VF-1S Focker Movie version. Quote
D' only Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Either Roy's VF-0S or VT-1.... hmmmmm..... I think it's Roy's. Quote
connor99 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 1/48 HIKARU 1J with the standard color GBP Armor. Quote
505thAirborne Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Yamato 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru with Strike Packs & My Bandai 1984 VF-1S Hikaru with Strike Packs!!! Quote
logos Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Collectable toy I would say the Yamato SDF-1 hands down. As to one I am actually not afraid to screw around with any day of the week I would say any of my VF-1 1/60s cracking shoulders and all. Hands down they are my favorite toys period. Now I only need a 1/60 Max and Mira to complete my collection......whenever/if Yamato ever re releases those. Edited October 24, 2011 by logos Quote
jvmacross Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Hasn't been released.........but like the new Macross World logo points out.....2012 is right around the corner....hopefully a surprise announcement soon! Quote
AcroRay Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Takatoku 1:55 VF-1S Super Valkyrie [recent Bandai re-issue]. Essential. No Macross toy is more fun. Quote
Penguin Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Gotta be the 1/60 VF-22S Gamlin version. My fave VF in cool colours. Quote
EXO Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 1/48 Roy Skull Leader w/ Strike Pack. Yeah the v.2 are more solid, but everytime you put down the v.2 and pick up that big mofo, it's just pure valk ferocity. VF-1 FTW for me. Quote
Raptor One Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I want to say my 1/60 VF-1J Grey Visor Ver., but my VF-1A CF has a special place in my heart. Quote
GU-11 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I don't really have a single favorite, but I'd have to say the YF-19 and YF-21 are tied in first place. MacPlus was the first Macross anime I watched as an adult, and as I've said many times, was my reintroduction into the Macross franchise. But nostalgia aside, the MacPlus designs were a huge leap in design style from the VF-1, especially the YF-19. In terms of looks alone, I'd have to go with the VF-22S Gamlin. Sleek and deadly. Quote
