you got it!

i guess it wasn't that much harder after all.

so let me try harder: Travel Reviews

it's a totally weird double-translation, and i was surprised it came out that way. but i assure you that it's not an obscure film. at all.

Minority Report?

This one is beautiful:

"Spy grand strategy"

Still trying to work out "Boots" and "Travel Reviews", though.. Stumped!

OK, here's a stumper

"Robot Human"

and it's NOT what you're thinking it is! I even ran it through several times. HINT- Stanly Kubrick

clockwork orange?

Damn, got it in one!

I understand how "clockwork" would give you robot, but I never figured out how orange gave human.

Re: Boots

Not so much a hint, but just how it was... uhm, discovered: English -> Japanese -> English

Of course, if anyone wants a hint... ask and I'll give one ;) (Of course, coming up with a hint that won't make it super easy is another story...)

Nope.

... and just realized that I forgot a step in the translation discovery: English > German > English > Japanese > English

clue please?

Travel Reviews = Star Trek. don't know where the "Reviews" part came from though. i suppose from the star rating system in reviews

Das Boot?

that was my first thought actually. but i dismissed it, thinking it was too obvious

"It is not permitted"

One word movie name.

Unforgiven?

clue please?

For "Spy Grand Strategy"? OK, so the clue is in the way I did it. I used Google to translate the English into Japanese, then Excite to translate back to English. Google nowadays translates the titles of the more famous movies and books into the title as it's known in the region of the target language. Therefore, what we end up with here is the actual transliteration of the Japanese title for this certain work. :)

Unforgiven?

Damn, that's what I was gonna guess!
