Dobber Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Over at Starshipmodeler forums, one of the owners reported news from Japan, stating that some have been announced while others will be made official soon......but he's saying another 1/72 VF-11B kit is coming AND a VF-11D!!! I'll keep my eye out for any more info and asked if the 11D was a typo but if not......he'll ya! Here is the post from SSM: In addition to Fujimi's 1/24 Bladerunner Spinner, here are some upcoming releases from the big boys in Japan (some have been announced, some will be official later this month) Hasegawa: MaK Grosser Hunde 1/72 Captain Harlock Space Wolf SW190 1/72 Macross VF-11D Thunderbolt 1/72 Macross VF-11B Thunderbolt Eggplane F-22 Raptor - in an assortment that also brings back the classic Eggplanes SR-71, A-6 Intruder and AV-8 Harrier Aoshima: 1/72 Lunar Orbital Satellite Chris Quote

A VF-11D from Hasegawa though... this one will be sweet. And yeah, +1 on Hase hopefully releasing the Super Packs for these bad boys. Quote
Dobber Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 Regarding the VF-11B, that's why in my origianl post I said another VF-11B like maybe new markings or something...like they did with the VF-1 kits. Chris Quote
Kelsain Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Wouldn't be hard to add a fast pack sprue to the 11, a lot easier than the VF-1. I'd bet it's a new decal set, though. Maybe the M7 colors? Eager to see the D! Quote
ae_productions Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 VF-11D? That's awesome! Can't wait. Now, to rob a bank to pay for all these new valks. Or, I can just steal legally and become a politician or a banker! Quote
505thAirborne Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 VF-11D? That's awesome! Can't wait. Now, to rob a bank to pay for all these new valks. Or, I can just steal legally and become a politician or a banker! If you rob the bank, grab enough $$$ for me too! I'll take a VF-11D as well as another version of the VF-11B, maybe this one has the fast packs or different decals as Dobber pointed out. Quote
VF5SS Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I they're going to make the VF-11D I think that second VF-11B may be a typo. I mean, the VF-11D shares the same gunpod as the VF-11C so I'd figure Hasegawa would want to maximize the shared parts on two kits. Quote

I believe plastic injection kits are unlike money. They're not traceable. Quote

David Hingtgen Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Has a VF-11D that wasn't Jamming Birds ever been depicted? Quote
Talos Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Has a VF-11D that wasn't Jamming Birds ever been depicted? No, but we know a few things about it based on the description of the mods for the Jamming Birds model. A basic, military VF-11D will have the smaller VF-11B/C canard and lack the additional VF-19-style verniers behind the cockpit, according to the Compendium. Quote

PetarB Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS! What did the VF-11D appear in? I don't remember seeing it... Quote
Jefuemon Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Looks like it's the first "Macross the Ride" kit. Sorry, but color me unimpressed. For once, I'll pass on a Macross Plus era kit. (but that's just my opinion) Quote
bullet101 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I'll buy the VF-11D, but I sure hope it comes with a good alternative paint scheme! As for another VF-11B, hope its the Fast Pack version or failing that a typo and a VF-11C. Quote
grimmace Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 (edited) Here is the link for pre-order at HLJ. http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG65795 Edited September 13, 2011 by grimmace Quote
Reïvaj Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I kind of like this paint scheme... Quote
Talos Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Not crazy about the paint scheme, but it's nice to see a VF-11D model kit coming out, along with a Macross the Ride one. Interestingly (and probably appropriate for a race plane), it has the VF-11D kai modifications that the Jamming Birds' planes got. Quote
505thAirborne Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I'll still get the kit, but spray paints and other decals will be used for mine. Quote

Noyhauser Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 ^ don't forget that Fujimi is releasing a 1/72 F-15E too. I'm excited for the VF-11D and especially the Jamming birds variant... the spherical canopy actually is my favorite part. Quote
PetarB Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) I really, really wish Finemolds would do some different subjects, rather than just the same ones in different scales. Pumped for that SpaceWolf though! Edited September 14, 2011 by PetarB Quote
Dobber Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 Don't know anything about Captain Harlock, wouldn't know where to begin watching......but that Space Wolf looks so awesome!!! I pre-ordered it from HLJ. Chris Quote
cwmodels Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I find this upcoming Hasegawa kit very interesting. Quote

Dobber Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 They missed a chance with the A-6, they should've turned the egg around so the bigger end was in the front and the more pointy end was the rear. Chris Quote
Ghost Train Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 This gives me hope that we might one day see the VF-19 Active Nothung. Quote
electric indigo Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Pic of the VF-11D This will even look better with a Flanker style splinter camo. Quote
