This is awesome! I am working on customizing the smaller Queadluun and seeing this thread has been incredibly helpful. (I only wish the shapeways parts were available for that 1/144 toy!)

C'mon Perry, go big or go home. The 1/60 Rau's are pretty cheap anyway.

Relatively so, I guess. But I am new to Macross collecting and would rather mess up this project on a small scale :) I missed out on the amazing sales of these larger figures a while back. But over $100 for just the toy and then quite a bit more to make it the way I want it - I want to be sure I know what I'm doing!

There are two Rau's for under $100 on eBay now and another in the for sale thread.

Not right at the moment - it's at about 95% completeness.... for like years.

All that's left is the eye piece to be coloured, fingers to be attached and a few more coats of clear to seal off the decals, Just haven't gotten around to due to moving interstate, children birthing, changing jobs, apathy, joblessness, etc etc

I'll get around to it sometime 2015.

Great work! I just got a mirai Q-rau but I found the figure too light. Metal feet might be good to give some weight. Is it feasible to print your Qrau's feet in metal at shapeways? Would the cost be prohibitive?

Sorry i don't frequent these forums much any more - sorry for the late reply - which Rau are you talking about? The 1/60 yamato or the 1/144 (?) bandai kit?
