This was my second attempt to grab one...first Michael version was lost in the mail and I lost my money on it...but thats in the past...took me a while to get it from battroid to gerwalk, but its the best mode to be in for display imo...at least people in the office wont be like "is that a Transformer?" <_<

Thinking about getting the Quarter next... :D

for me, the VF-100's were such a waste of my money. You should look into the DX V2.0 coming out in October.

Congrats man, mine was a hand me down Jetfire with no armor or gun in like 2000, then I was overjoyed to get the Toynami Masterpiece VF-1J when they first came out. Then i discovered this site and yamato and the 1/48s thus ruining my wallet for a decade now lol. But the first no matter the quality is always the sweetest, it's the next 30 you buy that sucks as you think about what food you don't want to eat, what bills you can forgo for a month, and selling your car so you can get the newest version of a VF-1, or in recent cases VF-25 lol. This valk is your gate way drug into Macross addiction. We all suffer from it lol.

Congrats!!! As kanedaestes said it could well be the first of many more!!!

If you are the type of collector that once in a while poses a valk and leaves it on a shelf, then the 1/100 VF-25 is OK. There are other options, if you love this valk design I'd say give the upcoming 1/60 DX version 2 a chance (if money is not an issue) ;)

The one nice thing about the VF100s VF-25 is that they are actually in 1/100 scale. It allows you to be "in scale" with other 1/100 scale toys. And if you're into building robot anime model kits, 1/100 is a pretty popular scale.

Congrats man, mine was a hand me down Jetfire with no armor or gun in like 2000,

wow, pretty much exactly how it went for me, back in 2000ish, as well. except i got my JETFIRE in a trade.

my entire large G.I. JOE collection from my childhood, for a complete in box TF DEVASTATOR gift set, and a loose JETFIRE with a missing arm.

i was taken for a real ride there, but i didn't care. i had my VERY first variable VF-1 toy, and i couldn't have been more ecstatic.

in the same year, IIRC, i came across Jerry Tsai's late "VF-1x" site, and ordered a replacement arm unit for that JETFIRE for $20.00.

not long after that, i custom painted that JETFIRE into a Focker VF-1S;

i have been most fortunate to have been able to move on since to my two dream-Valks; the 1985 BANDAI 1/72 HCM and 2008 YAMATO 1/60v.II

of the Hikaru Ichijo T.V. type VF-1J;

At the moment all my valks are in storage (bad year had to move) but after my gateway valk i have since acquired all my dream valks, including a TV vermillion squadron, TV Focker, Max and Miria, Yf-19 etc etc

There is no best in this addiction, only better, and better, and better...and limited edition exclusive...

Don't worry about some people, even if you have a huge 1/60 Valk collection, they'll still think those are Jetfires and talk to you about Megan Fox!

I think the VF100's were a waste of my money, I guess what I am trying to say is "careful, don't get more of this particular line or you will feel it's a waste of your own money too" (I have 3 -passed on the armored F- broke the G already and transformed it, maybe twice in over 2 years?), but everybody has to start somewhere. My first ever valk was probably a pencil sharpener bootleged from some robotech merchandise.

EDIT: that was in the mid-eighties...Takatoku's were the holy grial of valk collecting and all I could find locally was a cheap bootleg.

Hi there, even if its not the best keep it is your first valk at least in the pictures looks great, in my opinion and i think many will hate me about saying this but for me that toy line looks like having better proportions than the bandai 1/60 and the prove is that bandai had to modify its 1/60 to make it look better with a second version while this little model is perfect. I dont know about the quality of the plastic used and all that because I dont have one but for a long time I have been searching for one of this just because of the right proportions and cheap price. as a designer with experience in the matter the goal in this product was to make a good replica in such a smal size instead of perfect tranformation because the size would not give the requirements for such thing so they focused on giving good impresion of replica in each mode (fighter, gerwalk and batroid).

I dont mind changing parts for transformation that one is more like a lego unassemble it and modify it if you want perfect tranformation there are other product in the market for such porpouse.

look at to other models in 1/100 scale they transform but they are far from a good replica so it was not a bad idea what bandai came up with this valks, even the packaging was very nice in every version.

so my advise is keep it that ozma looks great to me at least compared to the original pictures is better replica than the 1/60 at least until the second version comes out in october.

I know I'm a month late replying to this, but don't sweat it. If you like it, then it's good. Reïvaj was dead-on.

For my money, the VF100s LOOK *amazing*. ...it's when you transform or pose them that they seem infuriating. But I glued my VF-25S into fighter mode and at this point I cannot say I regret the purchase at all.

I'm very curious, how high can you get the legs to sit up in fighter mode if you were to glue them into place? Someone here has got to have done that with one of theirs by now. If so, please post a pic.

Never mind, I forgot that I've already seen a picture of it a long while back, they don't sit high up enough for me.
