Jasonc Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 HLJ Yamat Sale Got the email today. Some good Macross items on sale, and the Regult is in there, in case anyone was on the fence. Enjoy, and hope you all get something good. Quote

Enjoy, and hope you all get something good. yeah, but, uhhh, the exchange-rate's already at the abysmal 79.03y and still going down even further... Quote
BlueMax Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 When I saw the Regult as part of the promotional banner, i was pretty excited, but turned out to be a measly 10% off... Quote
ron5864 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 When I saw the Regult as part of the promotional banner, i was pretty excited, but turned out to be a measly 10% off... Same thought here. I was hoping for 40% off or something close to that. That 10% does not even cover for shipping cost. Quote
ps99042 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Man, I'm tempted to get a Hikaru VF-1J to open rather than opening my VF-1J with fast pack set but I'm still scared of those shoulders... Quote
Frogze Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I wouldn't get that VF-1J, looks like old stock and if the shoulders break on you HLJ won't answer e-mails about it anymore... 45% off the canon fodder was too tempting to pass though, they got me again, damn Yamato sales! Quote
Tking22 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I'm gonna get my friend a cannon fodder 1A for his B-day, for that much off I can't let it pass. I wish HLJ still carried the 1/24 Ingram Unit 2 that things impossible to find now except for ebay. Quote
Old Man Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Arrrgh!!! The 1/48 VF-1J went on Backorder before I could even make a decision to pick any up or not... Quote
charger69 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 (edited) Guys, do you know if VF-0A from HLJ is a 2006 product or 2010? HLJ VF-0A Box image looks like 2010 2006 BOX 2010 BOX Edited July 18, 2011 by charger69 Quote
Xx-SKULL-ONE-xX Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Guys, do you know if VF-0A from HLJ is a 2006 product or 2010? I got my VF-0A awhile back from them and it was new stock Quote
Mommar Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I got my VF-0A awhile back from them and it was new stock It might be a crap-shoot then. I got a VF-0A during the last HLJ sale and it was old stock. Quote
caslon Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 It might be a crap-shoot then. I got a VF-0A during the last HLJ sale and it was old stock. But i got mine was in new stock and the shoulders are perfect! hehe!! Quote

lechuck Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Can anyone definitely confirm if the VF-1J is the broken shoulders version or not. It says it was May 2010 release. I really hate Yamato sometimes for screwing up the VF-1 line. Quote
Mommar Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 (edited) Mommar you got an old package rigth? I sure did. So far I've been lucky with no exploding shoulders. That's twice actually, once for the VF-0A and once for the original VF-1A DYRL Hikaru release. Edited July 18, 2011 by Mommar Quote
Guest davidwhangchoi Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Guys, do you know if VF-0A from HLJ is a 2006 product or 2010? HLJ VF-0A Box image looks like 2010 2006 BOX 2010 BOX i got a vf-0a in december 2010 and it was new stock. but e-mail to make sure they describe the package to you. (i had them do that for my order,) Quote
DarrinG Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Just got my CF 1A - and all that chocolately engine goodness. What a great finish these things have. So fun taking all the little covering pieces off the wing lights and landing gears - makes the 'opening' process last longer. Put on the TV super parts too, going to leave it in fighter mode for a while. The gun pod does touch the ground barely - is there something I should adjust still? Everything snaps together so well, so tight even with all the super parts on... Quote
m0n5t3r Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 The gun pod does touch the ground barely - is there something I should adjust still? you can adjust the handle of the gunpod a little... move it out just a little and it'll angle the gunpod ever so slighty while attached to the arms in f-mode. here's a pic... the clearance i very minimal but the front sight doesn't touch the ground. i'm thinking i have too many VF-1s already but now that i displayed my VF-1J Hik w/out the armor beside TV Max, i'm tempted to get TV Kaki... it's just the crappy exchange rate that's stopping me. Quote
caslon Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 i've ordered 2 sets of Strike parts for my VF-1S(Hikaru/Max DYRL).. Quote
choiboy77 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Since HLJ has a sale, I'm thinking of completing one of my squadrons from either the TV series or DYRL, but I'm not sure which one. I only need TV Max and Kakizaki for the TV series and for DYRL I need all 3 VF-1A's with fast packs. Which one do you guys think is more impressive to have completed and /or suggest??? I've been thumped on this one for awhile...can't decide...argggg... Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 It will be less expensive to complete the TV squadron and you're only two short. I'd finish the TV one first. But after that, I'd go for the DYRL? squad. I'm a sucker for DYRL? VF-1A's Quote

I already had the squad in the 1/48 scale, and when the 1/60 v2's came out I decided to get the Tv versions of the vermillion squad. I'm now leaning towards getting the Max and Kakizaki dyrl versions to complete the dyrl squad. Quote
danth Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I never liked the primary colors with black stripes. For instance, I love the Hikaru TV with red on white, but his DYRL red & black on white scheme just looks too harsh to me. Quote
choiboy77 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Cool! Thanks for the imput guys! Greatly appreciate it! Quote
seraph1981 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Does anyone know if the vf-1a dyrl hikaru still have the shoulder problems? I want to get one, but not sure if it still does . Quote
Matt Random Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Not that it matters now since it is sold out. But I just received the VF-0A and it is indeed the rerelease box. Quote
