In one of those 'Okay, I'm masochistic enough to try almost anything once' sort of dealios, I decided to give this a listen. You can all thank Dale Everett (Anarchy in Your Head comic) from Free Talk Live for this little pearl. Warning to all, you will probably bleed from every known orifice on your body if you listen. You have been forewarned....

Back in the early 90's, there was a Metal station in Minneapolis that switched formats to alternative. They played only this song on non-stop loop for their last weekend of broadcast.

I dunno, really...I mean, I like REM a lot...but really...I think they could've broken up in 1993, and their greatest albums would still have been made.

Their breaking up now seems like too much of an anticlimax.

And the Rolling Stones should've broken up after Exile on Main Street.

Worst part of this awesome tune by Russ Ballard was tracking it down.

Christ, it's been a long time since I heard that song.

This one popped up for me during a YouTube search. Fairly enjoyable rendition of Jan Hammer's Crockett's Theme by Vangelis.

I love Jan Hammer.

This one of his is one of my faves. "Evan"

I have an image of my ex-wife singing me this song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6q6JVRnUr7U

to which I reply with this

actually, I'm not bitter. Divorced over 10 years ago. Just the "Bitch" song turned up on my music player rotation, and made me think of it.

Been listening to "The Last of the Mohicans," by Trevor Rabin. Brilliant score.

+1. Promentory in particular is one of the most memorable movie themes in my book.

Isn't the composer called Trevor Jones?
