Gone too damn soon. yeah all we can do is to appreciate....speaking of which, my appreciation level increased, after i unplugged my 3.5 from the back of my PC due to buzzing, and added a chifi dongle (which was btw meant for going with my new IEM's).... my decades old altec lansing 2.1's never sounded better....😉 Quote

seti88 Posted October 16 Posted October 16 (edited) I implore anyone to listen to this track with good DACs/desk amps what have you/iem's/Over-ear's.....The cymbals at the start literally made me jump out of my seat...and then the thumps mid-way... Mindblown!😵🤯 Edited October 16 by seti88 Quote
Mog Posted October 18 Author Posted October 18 ^^Still particular to this FF: The piano only version is even better. . . . But so many damn good themes/leitmotifs. A spaghetti western theme for a ninja?!: A theme for a slightly off-kilter murder clown?: And a bloody opera aria to tie it all together: Quote

Personally, I’ve always preferred the first half. if you like crazy change ups, I gotta recommend Black Sabbath and the song Symptom of the Universe. It starts with the heaviest most brutal rhythms of 1975 and then a little after 4 minutes later it somehow abruptly becomes chillin on the beach sipping some margaritas to finish the song singing about togetherness and love and just being a good person to all mankind Quote

The philharmonic version in particular with the orchestic arrangements just blew me away....and not to mention, my recent dabbling with chifi seriously revitalized my appreciation of my old favorites. thanks for the recc on sabbath.. will put my iems through its interpretation of genres! My personal favorite was the og Derek and the Dominos version. I personally found the album a little dull, but Layla was such an extreme standout song that it overshadowed everything else on it. It’s still one of my favorite songs Quote
