myk Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Re: Bumblebee/Camaro at first glance all I could think is "Cylon". But it's not horribly horrible. -b. Man, that's an ugly car! Camaro just keeps getting uglier over the years... Quote
Dobber Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 It definitely looks like it has a face on the front. Chris Quote
aerocombatpilot Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) I always believed what they would place Hot Rod in the film. But with the confirmation of the Drift ... My hopes were to ditch XD... Me too, when the torch red 2014 corvette stingray came out, I thought it would have made a perfect Hot Rod!! Too Bad!! Edited July 21, 2013 by aerocombatpilot Quote

anime52k8 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 It definitely looks like it has a face on the front. Chris slightly off topic but I've always found it weird when people say they don't like cars with front ends that look like faces. I've never understood that; to me almost every car looks like it has a face. Quote

I've never understood that; to me almost every car looks like it has a face. Blame it on the human brain. It's hard-wired to find human facial features in even abstract shapes and objects. It's how we read emotions from another person's expressions. Something called pareidolia, I think. Personally, I'm indifferent about cars having "faces". If you try hard enough, you'll see a face in any vehicle. Hell, you can even make out a head from ED-209's "torso", and it doesn't even have headlights or sensors to pass off as "eyes". Quote
Thom Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Oh Gawd! What did they do to Optimus!?!?! He looked fine before, now they've blinged him out! Oh, please reboot and give me a real Transformers movie! Quote
azrael Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 That kid in me says "YES!". But the adult smacks the kid over the head and says, "Remember, Michael Bay is in charge." TRANSFORMERS 4 Leaked Call Sheet Confirms Dinobots, Cyclonus, Drift, Crosshairs & More Quote
skullmilitia Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Transformers doesn't need a reboot at this point. It just needs to be left alone. I'm a fan, but it seems to be as time goes on, the story Just gets muddled down and broken. I'm sick of having to Deal with multiple universes. A good writer doesn't need to create a new universe. Also, Michael Bay is a hack, the minute he said G1 vehicles couldn't Be realistic is the day his credibility for imagination died. And now we have a reboot inside a reboot. Quote
kanedaestes Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 (edited) Got to walk around one of the sets as i saw the G&E (Grip and Electric) guys chilling up in Uptown a few blocks from my house here in Chicago. I almost asked if I could be a day PA but none of the primary cast or crew were there. They are shooting in a beautiful old theatre though and I saw part of optimus prime sitting on the road Edited August 26, 2013 by kanedaestes Quote
azrael Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 And it is official, Michael Bay will screwing-up the Dinobots. Quote
big F Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Well shall I get the big handcart ready for us all to sit in ? Quote
CoryHolmes Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 All the constant negativity about this franchise, I'm actually looking forward to it. I'm really interested in how the Dinobots will look on the big screen and the new music. The one thing this film series has gotten right is the music. Quote
Duke Togo Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I'm really interested in how the Dinobots will look on the big screen Like all the other Transformers do. That's the problem: you can't tell any of these frakking robots apart. Quote
Atharun Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I think the version by don Figueroa for the old IDW ongoing would work well in a movie. Didn't like it for the comic but would do well on film. Quote
Dangard Ace Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 As long as its DINObots and not DYNObots I'm interested in seeing these iterations. Also Wheelie needs to show up too. "Joining of the dinobots"...dinosaur combiner? Quote
big F Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 transformers4.jpg Well at least the teaser poster looks good, let's see what it shapes up to be. Quote
Ghost Train Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 I hope this movie can help transform Detroit and its dire situation a little bit. I'm so funny. Quote
skullmilitia Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Nothing can help Detroit! Politics aside, not a fan of the heavy Chinese input into the transformers franchise. I get it they want to make money, and they are our future overlords, but can we still get some Regular non foreign landscapes. Is it just me or does Hasbro like Chinese locations and paint jobs more than any other Toy company. Dinobots? My guess is Bay makes Grimlock and the like surfer characters. Teenage mutant dinosaur surfers, like Dinosaucers but only worse. Unless Greg Berger plays Grimlock, I will respectively not watch the movie. Megatron.. AGAIN? Ugh, I'm sick of hearing Agent Smiths synthesized voice. Plus, how many times can you resurrect someone? I mean Prime ripped off his damn Head. It just makes Meg's a weak character. Blah, and the new autobot designs look tacky. So much for robots in Disguise. Quote
Twoducks Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 How many of the Dinobots will be comic relief? One? Two? All? Bay has to have those. CoryHolmes Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 How many of the Dinobots will be comic relief? One? Two? All? Bay has to have those. You mean like how Slag was treated in Transformers: Animated? They turned the meanest, most bloodthirsty Autobot into a friggin' puppy chasing a stick Quote
big F Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Chances are they will be comic relief, Bay only seems to know or care about the cartoon, where the Dinobots were comic relief. Shame of it is the Dinobots were always far cooler in the various comics, and more recently the War for Cybertron game. Quote

Alex Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 And that's the Leader class Prime. Lot of anger over the simplistic design over on TFW. "Won't someone please think of the...whining middle aged men who want their Transformers designed for them and not kids!!!" Quote
skullmilitia Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Yeah they made comments after DOTM that the days of complex transformers were over. Which is fine, with Takara on MP overdrive, I won't need the movie toys anyway. The DOTM line was almost all garbage, and if that was a heyday then.. Meh! Quote

David Hingtgen Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 That's pretty awful. Especially considering the engineering that went into the ROTF leader-class. Ah well, more money for 3P stuff. Quote
GU-11 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 It seems the one at the convention was mistransformed. Here's the official pic of it: Quote
