chyll2 Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 They are still fighting vajra. The frontier and that together with another anime will be a good Robotech material lol Quote
Hikaru Ichijo SL Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 Finished Chuunibyou s1 and that was hard to watch. I had too many tears in my eyes poor Rikka. Wow, a normal Dekomori too. Quote
kajnrig Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Man, I was humming this earlier and I'm still sad that he's gone... (the director not the singer) Quote
spacemanoeuvres Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Just finished Made in Abyss. Jeezoman the last couple episodes were gut wrenching. Excellent show; looking forward to next season. Quote
treiz Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Just finished tsundere children and AHO-girl Quote
Major Focker Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Mahoutsukai no Yome -- do i need to watch the OVAs first before i start on the TV series? Quote
Marzan Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 This season has been unexpectedly solid. Junai Taisen Zodiac, Shokugeki, Garo Vaunishing Line, Ancient Magus Bride and Inuyashiki. Quote
Hikaru Ichijo SL Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I am watching My Bride is a Mermaid and it is great, I am enjoying the craziness. 2018 is looking great for me between: Full Metal Panic IV High School DxD Hero which is LN 9 and 10 according to the author, so that is great. Toaru Majutsu no Index III Sword Art Onliine. Quote
kajnrig Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Since this show came up sometime somewhere on these forums recently, this might be of interest to some of you: https://shop.alltheanime.com/collections/specials/products/eureka-7-ultimate-edition-blu-ray Quote

They deal with Chise's backstory as an orphan in Japan, and they're great in their own right, so I'd recommend it. Quote
Major Focker Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 couldn't agree with you more. what a wonderful story! i'm on the TV series now, which has a very gentle pace. glad i watched the OVA first as a sort of intro into what to expect. Quote

Retro Chocolate Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Currently watching Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. It's a fun show, but a lot darker than I had expected considering it's a kids show Quote
Hikaru Ichijo SL Posted November 5, 2017 Posted November 5, 2017 Watching Transformers Micron Densetsu it seems better to me than Armada. Quote
Big s Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Gatchaman is one of the greats from the 70's. Some of the stories are stupid, but easily forgivable due to the horrible ways the bad guys die. The music and animation for the time are just top notch. And the themes really stick in your head for a while. Quote
zaino Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Actually started watching Mahoutsukai no Yome because of the JUNNA opening. Staying because the show is amazing. makes me happy that everyone really enjoys the op, and that everywhere I see people say something along the lines of “yo you liked that? Check this out” and it’s a Walküre video every time. Might be some good exposure Quote
AN/ALQ128 Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 On episode 6 of Girls Last Tour, and this show is really something. Melancholic, yet comfy in a way. Incredible audio design as well. Quote

Valkyrie Driver Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I've watched Overlord recently, as well as Getting Caught up on My Hero Academia. Currently I'm watching Parasyte. Quote
Marzan Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 When I'm not watching one of this seasons shows (Magus Bride, Zodiac Wars, March comes in like a lion, BBB, Ballroom), I'm doing a rewatch of Nadia of the Blue water in glorious BD quality. Gainax was absolutely god tier back in the day. Quote
Hikaru Ichijo SL Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 (edited) Finishing Amagami SS and i am enjoying the format. The only thing that really bothers me is how every time Kaoru speaks all I see is Misaka Mikoto. They share the same seiyuu. Edited November 19, 2017 by Hikaru Ichijo SL Quote
Hikaru Ichijo SL Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Started Amagami SS Plus yesterday and it more of the same which I am happy about. Ayatsuji and the bath scene was hilarious. Quote
kajnrig Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 (edited) Not exactly anime, but I'm catching up on the past two seasons of BoJack Horseman, and... a few episodes ago, BoJack visits and ultimately takes care of his ailing, dementia-afflicted mother, and the messy relationship they have hits a bit too close to home. This show, man. I don't know. Sometimes I want to burn it to the ground, and yet here we are, four seasons later. Edited November 27, 2017 by kajnrig Quote

I had already seen the Wisecrack summary which since I couldn't get past ep 3 on my first viewing gave me the know-how to survive the series. To quote my friend: "Man that episode was dark." Quote

Marzan Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Watched Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato: In the Name of Love for the first time (hey I'm only 40 years old to the party). Fantastic watch. What a poignant and sad finale to the Yamato story. not much of a crier, but must confess i teared up a bit towards the end there. But I imagine they retconned the story for the S2, right? Quote
