While Space Thunder Kids may have been a single film, it's designs were certainly ripped off of several anime shows! In the preview alone I noticed three right off the bat; Gundam, Yamato, and Crusher Joe. Hell, they even went as far as using Yamato's music!

Wait... you've seen Space Black Knight, right...?

If not, you're in for a treat... make sure you watch to the end... Trust me. It'll blow your mind.

Yeah, that ending is a true mind blower... Also I was thinking of the time you showed Space Black Knight when I saw you post Space Thunder Kids. Edited by mecha2241

Here is the list of every anime I rank a 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 out of 10, you'll see many old school classics in them with a few modern stuff here and there. 70s stuff I'll put in bold to make it easier.

By the way * = Good first episode, it is so rare in anime that when it does happen I have to put it one next to the title so I don't forget.

"The Ideon: Be Invoked." Hm, Good taste.
"Mazinger Z vs. The Great General of Darkness" is so nostalgic. About 40 years ago? Wow... I have got older. Every kid was talking about the movie in Japan then.
No "Future Boy Conan","Harlock","999" and "Jim Knopf?" Where are "Yatterman" and the other Tatsunoko animes? Gatchaman? Hurricane Polymar? Only Time Bokan?
Well, not enough.

Once people actually get subs, even if only HK ones, I'll give them consideration (especially Polymer). I am amazed nobody has made any comments about how weird my scores or rankings or anything are, does that mean I'm part of the group now or do I have to show the last sixth of the list? :p

So, that's what Amuro and Sayla do in their spare time! Dress up as Char and play with swords!

Yeah... it's pretty kinky when you think about it... and the fact that the kid is joining in while Grandpa Jin from Zambot 3 voyeuristicly looks on just makes the whole thing creepier.

I decided to rewatch After War Gundam X online. One of the most under-rated Gundam series out there I wish they handled it better so it got more attention and possibly a Western Release. Garrod Ran is one of my favorite Gundam characters.

Having no exposure to previous Yamato series, movies, or live action movies.... I am watching Yamato 2199. Very entertaining thus far!

As a longtime Yamato fan, 2199 is just that good!

Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) is going to start streaming on Crunchyroll too.

Watched ep2 last night. It's solid so far (and this is coming from someone who prefers SF over fantasy).

Yeah. Was wondering how the hell that thing evolved/was built. The titans must be some of the most frustrating and loathable enemies I've come across in anime in a reason - they are so damn dangerous for beings that basically are giant meat eating cows. Am SO looking forward to seeing some of them getting wasted.

The explaination for the titans later on could be what puts the show in the horror genre. It's something I'm not really looking forward to, as in I might not be able to stomach it.

I just finished the Trigun movie. Why couldn't the series be more like this? There was less comedy (even if it was terrible what little there was) and more action to it. Plus I like the new look, it is very similar to the recent VOTOMS ovas. I also thought Wolfwood died in the series, but oh well.

Never even watched Steins Gate. I will tell you what I watched over the last week though!

Started watching Star Driver since it is mecha and it was the only other mecha series airing at the time competing with SRW OG The Inspector and for some reason SD was liked more with people clamoring about how it is similar to the Utena. Bwahahahaha NO. It is nothing like Utena because this is actually good (and outside of school and one on one fights has nothing in common with that junk). I will admit it has a lot of stuff that annoys me like school junk, boring and useless characters, too much fan service of the sexual kind, and some bland music. On the other hand there is actually good music (specifically the first ending and second opening), the action scenes are superb with fantastic scenery, great art style and mechs, friggin' MONSTER OF THE WEEK WITH NAMES (I thought they stopped existing after Genesis of Aquarion!), and it has without a doubt the most adorable anime mascot ever. Look at this guy and tell me with a straight face he does not make you go "DAW!"

Poor Shushu from Aquarion Evol goes down to second. Plus the last two fights were epically FABULOUS.

During Saturday I watched Super Atragon, Toho's other attempt at trying to cash into the OVA market in the early 90s (the other being Ushio and Tora). It is like the good parts of Nadia and Blue Submarine Number 6 and being only two episodes long it really cuts out the clutter. Good job Toho! I expected nothing less from the same creators as Godzilla and Ikiru!

Finally I started watching Freezing last night and finished it this afternoon. Like Star Driver it has a lot of elements I dislike, primarily unneeded fanservice, monsters not getting enough screen time, weak characters, and a bland opening theme. On the other hand the action was excellent, I kind of liked the ending theme, there actually was solid character development in this, what little screen time they got the Novas were cool as hell, and every villain got violently punished, kind of reminds me of Elfen Lied except this one cuts out unnecessary underage nudity. The best thing about it? The fan service was rarely treated in a comedic fashion, yeah there was an occasional comedic bit but for the most part they played it pretty seriously. I have to admit I was impressed. I normally would be ticked off by a silly cliffhanger note like with the end, but a sequel series is in the works and it is safe to say that when it comes out I will look forward as long as it improves and gives more about the Novas.

anyone here seen the new Steins Gate movie?

Nope. I have not watched the TV program yet, but should have watch it because many fans praise it.

It started from April, 2011. But just before 1 month ago, the Mikupa concert held in Odaiba was no good. That was produced by 5pb. So I didn't expect the anime made by the same company. That was the reason why I didn't watch it.

Chiyomaru Shikura, the founder of 5pb. is actually a very talented person, but should not be arrogant, imo.

Just watched the first 2 eps of Oreimo 2, then raged when crunchyroll wouldn't let me watch the 3rd yet. And nowI wnt a pink Vita and real world "Love Touch" varient. I'm also happy about the abundance of Manami & Kuroneko.

I'm watchin Gargantia/Attack on Titan on simulcast and G Gundam on the other days. I also checked out Flowers of Evil because I had to see what all the fuss was about (check out most anime forums. The flaming wars this is creating are phenomenal). It's not bad. It dares to be a bit different using rotoscoping animation which IMO adds to the creepy atmosphere of the story. Granted though, they seem to have cut some corners and at some points the animation does seem a bit shoddy. Still an interesting story with some seriously messed up characters.

Real world "Love Touch?" It is a parody of the real game, "Love Plus." (But it never works on PSs...)
In the actual "Love Plus" game, "Manaka Takane" appears. You see, Kirino called the character in Love Touch, "Ayaka-chan."
"Ayase " + "Manaka" = "Ayaka."
And the VA of Ayase, Ayaka in Oreimo, and Manaka in Love Live is the same person, Saori Hayami.
I love this kind of the character casting.
I have already watched ep. 3 on TV last Sunday (Saturday midnight). Also a good one, so I highly recommend it.

I just finished E.Y.E.S. of Mars to the suggestion of either Gubaba and Keith and I have to say: WOW. I liked a lot! The art style and action were really well done and I enjoyed the simplicity of it all, so much so that I go as far as putting this movie in my top 5 favorite anime of all time AND call it the best anime movie ever. Thanks whoever recommended this. B))

Been kinda all over the place with anime. Just finished episode 4 of Initial D 5th Stage. Also was going to start episode 40 of Eureka Seven. ID 5th stage is pretty good but I feel the series is being rushed compared to the 4th Stage. The animation is certainly a step up with car animation. Split on the new look of the characters though.

'tweren't me, but considering all the crap I've given you, I'm surprised and heartened that you would even theoretically take a recommendation from me. :p

It was me testing a theory that he was from some kind of bizzarro universe, andnow we have scientific proof that he is.

Re-watching Soul Eater after introducing it to my girlfriend. She likes it a lot! I had watched some of the series a couple of years back in bits and pieces. It's nice to get to fill in the gaps from when I was distracted with homework while my brother was watching it back then.

Unlike Chris Guanche I can forgive people over minor things.

Well, I'm off to watch the famed Death Note, wish me luck!
