Dobber Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I really wish the FFG Star Destroyer was the same size as the Tantive model, which I also have. It would've been perfect. Chris Quote
Chewie Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Wouldn't mind something like these making it to figures from Tamashii Nations. Link to the artists page - http://nikolasdraperivey.tumblr.com/post/137952873425/judgeanon-inspredwood Quote
Dobber Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Yo! Those are all really cool! I really like FN-2199 (Riot Trooper), Poe, Kylo Ren, and Phasma Chris Edited February 3, 2016 by Dobber Quote
Chronocidal Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I don't even collect figures, but I would love to see more illustrations of those characters in action, they really fit well. Quote
the_foul_fowl Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Neat! Really nice illustrations, the theme fits really well! Reminds me a lot of Bandai's Star Wars meisho figures: http://kotaku.com/samurai-vader-and-ronin-boba-fett-realize-star-wars-jap-1754807646 Quote
the_foul_fowl Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I hope Bandai goes back to finishing up the kits from OT, at the very least we still need 1/72 A-wing 1/72 B-wing 1/72 TIE bomber 1/72 TIE interceptor I could also wish for 1/144 Lambda-class shuttle 1/144 OT Falcon (this should be in the pipeline! wouldn't take much to rework the TFA Falcon) 1/48 AT-AT to go with the 1/48 AT-ST,Snowspeeder would be nice, but highly unlikely due to size (PG-sized? hmmm) That should round up the main starships in the current two scales of Bandai's vehicle kits... For the character lines, there should still be Snowtroopers, to round up the 'troopers we have so far, an individual Scout would be nice too. Not sure if Bandai's license extends to the PT, for all the flak it gets, I think the vehicle designs are still pretty decent! Quote
electric indigo Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 This might be an indication what to expect: Note that this will be 10 cm box-scale kits. Details look nice, though. Quote
Chronocidal Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) Good grief, what is it with Bandai and their obsession with microscopic kits? Wasn't 1/72 small enough already? If I wanted micro machines, I'd just buy the stupid tabletop game miniatures, since they'd probably wind up cheaper once you add shipping. I've been waiting to see the main fighters in 1/48th for literally 25 years now, the least they could do is finish what they started, and make the non-electronic version of the X-wing. And I'm not going to be happy until they complete the full line of OT fighters in 1/48th. Honestly, the A-Wing is so tiny to begin with, I don't even know if I'd want to bother with one in 1/72. Also.. please. No one wants the prequel craft, least of all the random trade federation junk they have shown there. Edited February 5, 2016 by Chronocidal Quote
calubin_175 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) Japanese people have no space, yet they still buy every single one of the 20cm+ tall toysout on the market. Titaniums and these 10cm kits are a good way to get a non-scale detailed craft without having to care about scale. Scale requires a lot of space, especially 1/48. So far, we only have 1/48 X-wing, Snowspeeder and AT-ST from Bandai, while Finemolds/Revell offers the only TIE Fighter. I have decided to go with relative scaling in the form of Star Wars Armada, which only covers space vehicles. So I'll have access to most of the capital ships plus mini fighter squadrons. By the way, the upcoming Bandai Vehicle Model 002 X Wing is 1/144 scale at 8.5cm. I am not sure whether they would do the same for the TIE Fighter while keeping it 600 yen. If they were to do a Snowspeeder, they'll need to make it a twin pack to keep it 1/144. Edited February 13, 2016 by calubin_175 Quote

Scyla Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Man that Darth Revan is awesome. I'm sure he sells out quickly and I won't have a chance to get one. Quote

Chronocidal Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Not a huge fan of th SD X-wing (what I like about the design to begin with is a proportional thing, I think) but that AT-AT is freaking adorable. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 It'll be yet another Revan I have zero chance to own at a decent price. Quote
Dobber Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Hell, Phasma is impossible to find on shelves too. Chris Quote
Negotiator Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 You can't find anything except fin. Quote
Kelsain Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Ooh, 6" atat driver & classic snowtrooper too. Now, will it be easier to find the Finn/Rey/Maz combo set than individual Rey? Quote
Graham Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Wish they would do a 6" First Order Stormtrooper with the heavy gun and chest rig. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 My Walmart exclusive 4" Rey is on the way. I see you've constructed a new Lightsaber, your skills are complete. Indeed you are powerful, as the emperor has forseen. Quote
Golden Arms Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) I've been able to find all of the black series figures at retail at some point. They are out there, but you have to keep looking. I ran into the harder to find characters (Rey, Kylo Rin) in just the last 2 months. Wal Mart and the local grocery store chains is where I've seen most of them. I've lost interest in the line as a whole, and have only picked up Kylo Ren and a First order Storm Trooper for myself. electric indigo Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Dragon's 1/35 AT-ST and Snowspeeder kits: Quote
Chronocidal Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Now, that is a good size for a snowspeeder. The Bandai kit isn't bad by any means, but it's just such a tiny vehicle. AT-ST looks good as well, but the posing is a bit wacky. Quote
Mog Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Please tell me that's not the final paint apps on Revan, because that chest and gauntlet color is all sorts of wrong. Quote
Kelsain Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Lightsaber is wrong too. Revan wielded twin sabers, with the teal and orange special saber crystals that could be found toward the end. And was a girl. Quote
David Hingtgen Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Yeah, Revan needs much darker red, and browner chest, should "blend" with the robes. But Revan totally had a purple saber. (And was a girl). Quote
Chewie Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 ToR says otherwise about Revan's sex. Also, saw this at Disneyland this weekend. Quote
electric indigo Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 So this is the re-boxed Fine Molds Falcon? Quote
Chronocidal Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) Yep, but I can't help shake the feeling that the Revell release of that massive kit is actually a lot more expensive than the Fine Molds one... Edit: Looked back at discontinued items, looks like HLJ had its list price as 19,000 yen, so about $160 at current exchange (HLJ was selling it for 15200, about $133). Anyone know what the list price of the new one is? I don't trust any prices I'm seeing, because I don't think the kit is well circulated yet. Amazon has listings for around $215 for the Revell version, but they also say the list price is $300, and some other hobby site has the MSRP at $350... So, really, wtf? Edited February 17, 2016 by Chronocidal Quote
Chewie Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 There wasn't a price listed and the line for a register wasn't worth waiting to check. Sorry. =\ Quote
Chewie Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 FINALLY got a payment/shipping confirmation for this guy. So happy. Quote
Graham Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Defintely buying the 6" Sabine, Ashoka and Kanan figures. Quote
Scyla Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 ToR says otherwise about Revan's sex. *snip* That doesn't really matter since they are clearly wrong. Only my version of Revan is the correct one! Quote
