Mog Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 It’d be nice if they could finally do later season versions of Kanan, Ezra, Sabine, and the rest of the Ghost crew. Quote

jenius Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 To be fair, do you say "1st of August" or do you say "January 8th". I usually say the month first so it feels awkward to me to make the month the second number written. If you write it out, do you write 8th, January, 2020 or would you write August 1, 2020. You can pick on our failure to convert to Celsius or the metric system but on this one... I think we got it right. Quote
Graham Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 For the most part I've always said and wrote day, month, year. Just the way I was taught. For example 1st January 2020. Although occasionally when speaking I will say month first, probably because I do deal with a lot of Americans in business. But I'll never put the month first in writing. Writing the month first just seems wrong to me. Smallest to largest unit.......day, month, year is a logical progression. I'd be interested to know if any other countries do it the US way and put the month first? Personally it's something I've only ever encountered from Americans. Quote

I hate we are not on the metric system or Celsius with the rest of the world, but the date thing seems more like how people talk. Chris Quote
Scyla Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 YY/MM/DD is the only correct way to write any date. Quote
Chronocidal Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 How about we compromise and just go DMYDMY? All of the dates in my work documentation tend to flip around a lot, but the one I find myself using most is YYYYMMDD, because that's the date extension I add to my filenames. It's a little redundant to the "modified by" date, but also has the benefit of meaning that if I'm making multiple versions of a file, sorting by alphabetical order also puts them in chronological order. Mechapilot77 Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 we americans will change the way we do out dates when the world bails us out of WW3. until then 08/01/2020 is August 1st, 2020 when an american company is listing it's release dates. :-P in all seriousness its the most informative way because when you think of a date...you kinda know what year it is usually that you're talking about so year wouldn't come first....to get you to focus on the most pertinent information first...using the month tells you the most information about when something is happening relative to present year and then the actual day of the month is more specific if one is interested in that detail so it follows. the year is last just to reconfirm you're talking about the same damn year. it makes good sense!!! Mog Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 So, I know Hasbro’s “carbonized” some of its figures lately. But I went and “chrome-a-tized” this old figure’s gun: Looked kinda plain in just black plastic, so I gave the BFG a chrome wash to make it a little more “lived in.” Quote

David Hingtgen Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Chopper better come with some serious accessories to warrant his price. Of course, pretty sure "6-inch" (2-inch) Yoda costs the same as 6-inch Luke... Quote

Dobber Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 So I got the preorder announcement email for these from BBTS and at first I thought they were going anatomically correct with Ahsoka and she had a “wardrobe malfunction” in this picture! Lol Quote

Negotiator Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 careful buying these when they hit stores. i suspect people will do returns stuffing in the original figures in the boxes. Quote
vlenhoff Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 I like how they toned down the colors in general. I've been waiting for a long time to get the Rebels, but Zeb was missing. i wonder if the Rebels show is really popular at Disney+ right now. This is really unexpected. I wonder if they will ever release Ghost, and the complete crew in the Vintage collection. It will prob be too small, but if they release the crew as well, it would be awesome. I say the same for the Razor's crest. If they make these ships in a similar size of the Legacy Millennium Falcon, I would prob be all over that. A man can dream... Quote
