Cool.  :drinks:

The Defender needs a very slight adjustment in the pose but overall I’m happy how it turned out.  There are a few more Defender reference pics on my phone that I want to make use of.

Thanks!! :friends:

Yeah....it will be a shame if we never get at least the Tomahawk and Phalanx to complete the HMR Macross TV line of Destroids.... ;)

I wonder how the old 1/100 IMAI/ARII Destroid kits look next to the HMR Destroids....the 1/100 Takatoku Conversion set looks smaller when next to an HMR Destroid...

Too small.

Definitely too small. :(

And unfortunately, next to the HMRs, Wave's 1:72 kits look as oversized as the vintage kits look undersized. <_<

Move HMR forward a bit or some other more dynamic placement/poses...problem solved.

Thanks, that is unfortunate.....I like the hangar you are using to hold your figs...what is it? It has a "chainbase" look to it....it sure beats the flat cardboard stuff out there

That's Bandai's 1:144 White Base catapult deck.

BAN16681_i.jpg

It cries for paint and decals, but I've got an SDF-1 commission to finish before I can tackle anything else...

Thanks, I had wondered if those may have worked for HMR.....I would say indeed they do....again, any "3D" display will always put a flat 2D background to shame

Took Ozma out to tighten up its joints and a quick shot. Enjoy!

Thread has been stagnant since March 22, lets how long it takes for another photo to be posted after this post.

One of the best looking Armored Valkyrie out there.

Seeing that Bandai did a matte finish Alto YF-29 Durandal, I wonder how the Messiah would look in matte finish?

Thanks @Lolicon, we had some nice weather with lots of sunlight that made for good lighting conditions for shooting.

My assistant in the background is Godzilla, he’ll be showing up in these casual shots.

@no3Ljm I agree, the armor really flows well with the lines of the VF-25.  I think the VF-25s and VF-27 would look awesome in a Matte finish.  As much as I want matte finish Frontier renewal release, my wallet is saying “No”.

What scale is the Megahouse SDF-1 again? 1/5000? 1/4000?

Very nice.  :drinks:  It's around 1/15500 to 1/6000 scale.

WIP

WIP?  What needs to be added?

A little more shading on the right hand?  Some mild scorching on the gun barrel tip?  Looks pretty good from here.

Unless you’re talking about the Spam.  And then, yes, it needs to be cooked to that perfect consistency that is slightly crispy yet just a bit floppy.

WIP, a slight angle change perhaps.

@Mog, that is the perfect consistency for SPAM!

Yup, the way the good Lord intended!

I kinda like my bacon the same consistency too:  a little crisp, but still on the side of floppy.

Posted

And now we're talking food.

I love deep fried foods that is crispy but yet still floppy on the inside. Period.

French fries need to be crisp on the outside but a little soft on the inside.  If they have any flop, it makes Moggy a sad moogle.  Nothing kills chili cheese fries worse than limp fries.

Asian egg rolls, it really depends on which version/ethnic variation we’re talking about for proper crispness and softness.

. . . And crispy outside but floppy inside fried chicken might give you a bout of food poisoning.

Guess I should post this in the appropriate thread. . .

Canned meat byproducts and pre-packaged carbs for all!

Wars have been started over less!

Indeed!

Add some microwave popcorn or Kool Aid to that stash and I'd go to war.
