Convectuoso Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Thanks! That VF2-SS looks like a fun build! Thanks. I've been wondering if it may be better to paint some details instead of using the included stickers. Any suggestions? Quote
Kylwell Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 I havent lost any parts ...yet... I just dissolve canopies in acetone... oh crap... Quote
Thom Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Thanks. I've been wondering if it may be better to paint some details instead of using the included stickers. Any suggestions? Never had any experience with stickers. Paint and decals are my first choices. Quote

arbit Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 (edited) Arduino servo sweep program. Edited October 2, 2016 by arbit Quote
arbit Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 (edited) I learned this next step of programming faster than I expected: Controlling the sweep speed and programming multiple activities. Edited October 2, 2016 by arbit Quote
Thom Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Love the motorized turret! Are you going to do sound effects in the base? Quote
arbit Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Love the motorized turret! Are you going to do sound effects in the base? Thanks. I definitely planned sound effects from the beginning, but I haven't solved it yet. Lots to learn. The cool thing about Arduino is you can finish the model and re-program effects later without opening it up again. Quote
joscasle Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 My two VF-11B Thunderbolts. Super a custom schema, vanilla 11 Isamu's bird. I will try to start with the decals soon. Quote

I bought a sound pack from a movie editing site for Weapons both real and scifi if you want any Quote
arbit Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 I bought a sound pack from a movie editing site for Weapons both real and scifi if you want any The sound effects for the barrels in the original Yamato TV series are legendary. I would use those. Quote
MechTech Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 (edited) That looks great Arbit! That will look great when completed. I have the 1/350th Yamato I'm waiting on some time to build, but I think yours will end up better. Those Thunderbolts look really good Joscasle. Nice n clean - at least for now. - MT Edited October 3, 2016 by MechTech Quote

derex3592 Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 TomyTec VF-1A 1/144. No paint, very little glue, no panel lines. Great little kits! They really nailed fighter mode! Quote
joscasle Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 That finish looks really nice. What sort of paint are you using? I'm using gunze and gaianotes paints. Alclad for metallics Quote

MechTech Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Thanks for posting that Derex! It gives better perspective of their size. Just like clothes, not everybody uses the same sizes or scales the same making you have to try stuff on or open up a model box. - MT Quote
NZEOD Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 (edited) Flip it over, flip it over! Well, after getting most of the kitchen area built and then installing all the cabinetry I have been allowed to get back to modelling while we wait for the splash backs to be cut Todays mission... derex3592 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 WOW! Love that GREEN counter top! Hard to lose parts on that sucker! Quote
NZEOD Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 (edited) I built it.. and am still building and creating throughout the house so she tolerates my mess and habits. Especially when she has to sleep next to me and I apparently yell out section fire control commands in my sleep some nights. That said she knows the gunsafe codes and wouldn't hesitate to open it should I leave paint, glue, knife cuts or sand paper marks on the bench top... Edited October 6, 2016 by NZEOD Quote
captain america Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Now that's a lot of green! Looking very nice Quote
NZEOD Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 wait until the 5m of tempered glass colour matched (yes thats how colour is MEANT to be spelt...) splashbacks go in... Quote
