Thom Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I think you need to dial down the contrast a bit, but you got the texture just right. Looking forward to see the final work. Thanks! But that was before the final gray coat. Toned down quite a bit after. Quote

derex3592 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Been working on the Tie Interceptor... Went with a buffing Metalizer for the stand.. not sure if I like it, also not sure if I'm in love with the darker shade of grey I went with, and that was the 2nd attempt! Quote
chyll2 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Probably a long project since I procrastinate a lot. Plans Repair whatever is broken. It will be a fixed battroid toy (which basicaly involves destroying more parts as well lol) depending on the availability of tool and my limited skill, I might cut the wing short to have that compact backpack similar to lineart Paint scheme will be boring gray or off-white scheme with limited decal here and there. The key is to make it compatible to any scheme I might have for the GBP) If I have extra funds in the future, I might replace the head unit with Kurisama work on Macross Ride or Macross First head unit. (unless that VF-1D the First version is made). I really hate the obvious seamline on the VF-1 Head. Repaint the GBP armor (final scheme not yet decided) PS: If you are in the Philippines and you want to trade with GBP armor since you want the extra Tampo on it. Message me here, I am more willing to trade with you since everything will be removed when I paint it anyway. Quote
big F Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) I was intending to do something similar with one of the several recasted 1/55 GBP kits I have. Edited September 22, 2016 by big F Quote
Petrov27 Posted September 22, 2016 Posted September 22, 2016 Kneel, earth worms... Just repainting Klan? Or other mods? What scale is she in? Always wishing they do a 1/72 Q-Rae and Klan someday to go with all the kits.... Quote
electric indigo Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 I gave the color scheme an update and will add some cables here and there. The height is about 25 cm. I have the Damashi Q-Rea to put next to her on display. Quote

Hervé Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Hello ! working on the juw-88 part of a Mistel : 1/48 Dragon kit : huge but awful fittings... Quote
electric indigo Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 I saw you building the aircrafts of "le grande duc" on scalemates, is the Mistel in there, too? Any aircrafts finished from that series? Quote
derex3592 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 (edited) Finished Ban Dai's 1/72 Tie Interceptor kit today. Fun quick little kit. Lost one little F'N piece, looked for it for 2 hours, hopefully it'll turn up. Went with Gun Metal then Metalizer Dark Anodizing Silver over that for the base. Tie color is Light Grey /Neutral Grey with a dash of blue. Came out good! Gloss coat and a simple Dark Dirt wash and then a flat coat to round it out. Scratch made the front window glass as well. :-) Edited September 25, 2016 by derex3592 Quote
NZEOD Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 ohhh I see the bit you lost on the far wing front Quote
derex3592 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Yeh, it went flying and I never saw it again...which is rare for me to loose a part. Wherever it is, it's hid good! LOL Quote
Petrov27 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 lots of great work going on here! been working for weeks to mask and paint all of the colors on the VF-31 instead of using decals or stickers..... Quote
derex3592 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 That looks great! I've got that kit in my to build pile! Thinking about doing it next, very nervous about it as I've never done a transformable kit, but these look like the real deal. I just have a feeling it's gonna be one of those kits where the first one will be a massive learning curve! Quote
NZEOD Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Just do as I am and blouse out on having it transform and stick to one mode. Quote
