Fine Molds and thanks! Tried for a seriously beaten and re-build one.

well you certainly nailed it Kylwell!

I have stopped counting on the articulations implemented! I like this model a lot, and surprisingly the Workroid has a LOT of common shapes and curves with the Cheyenne III

You work really fast with 3d modelling Xigfrid. I'm still dreaming stuff up in my head.

I spend way too much time on 3D to my taste, this is probably why you think I am fast with it ;)

That came out great Arbit! I saw your thread on it.

Congrats Kylwell! Nice n dirty like the no-budget rebell forces.

Derex, you're the only guy I know trying to get crabs :D

That's lookgin cool Xigfrid! What size containers are those supposed to be? - MT

Thanks! Well the Workroid is scaled to fit the VF-1J 1/60 scale in terms width, it is a little smaller in height. The containers are scaled as seen in the anime so the Workroid has to lift itself a little on its feet to carry the third pile of containers.

The actual size of the containers are 3.14 cm x 7.5cm x 3.8 cm (in real size: 1m90 x 4m50 x 2m30)

Hello,

here is "Bravo", the Super Hornet seen in the movie "Planes":

Strictly OOB, for my 6 years son. Too young to build it, be he and I are old enough to play with. Had a lot of fun building this pretty Zvezda kit !

A BIG congrats Derex!!! They look cool. I have the same dream, in 1/350th ;) Now I can officially say it, Derex has every form of the crabs! Thanks for sharing your photos.

That's cool Herve, I didn't know there was a kit for that!? - MT

Well, got some more work done on my regult pod:

The basic joints are in place for the legs; now I have to work out the feet. Then it's on to the exterior stuff.

Thanks guys! This IS happening next. Xigfrid is the man! This looks great! 10 minutes to mock up to get this pic out of the box.

Where did you found this Ghost ??

And your Regult build is looking good so far too! ;)

Is it 1/72 or 1/60?

and if 1/72, are you doing more Xigfrid?

They are 1/60 but unfortunately I have no plan to make resin kits of these in the 1/72 scale. Mainly because there are small parts that won't scale down as is, so the 1/72 ghost needs a fair amount of additional work and thinking that I currently don't have.

It's sad not having enough free time.

That's too bad, but my wallet is relieved.

I'd be interested in a simplified gear-closed/hatches-closed/no-gimmicks kit, if you ever scale it down... just saying :D

but I am one of those weirdos who builds 90% of my stuff closed-up and in-flight...

Thanks! :) Yeah, the Regult will be used for some upcoming photo shoots (If I can get my 1/72 VF-1S to cooperate: I have to rebuild the back AGAIN. :( )

As for the keyboard: I prefer the MS Natural, since it helps with my Carpal Tunnel in my right wrist.

derex3592, you are "Number One Inbit Fan".

Here's something I've been planning for a while, lighted 1/1000 Yamato. I really want to kit bash this with a Tamiya 1/700 IJN Yamato and photo-etched add-on parts for railings and such, but I don't know if I can make it work. (That's the sound of chicken.)

you need colour changers so you can get the White then Yellow flare of a propellant burn

https://www.adafruit.com/products/1938

And the cheap board to run it

https://www.adafruit.com/products/2010

And some connector options

or even better... a DIY connector for LED to Fibre Bundles

Gonna take a stab at this P-47 as part of my training so that I don't absolutely ruin the VF-4's when they come out. Curious if anyone here has tried doing panel lining with hand brushes before?

Slowly fitting leg armor, time has stopped as I've had to rip apart the place for new carpet which I hope is finished next week. Lot's of grinding and using epoxy for the gaps.

I hand brush the panel lines on most of my kits. I use a lacquer top coat after the base coat of paint, then after the top coat has dried a couple of days out of paranoia I use oil paints I bought at Michaels arts and craft store. The oil paints seem expensive at first, but they last a long long time when thinned. Just make sure the thinner doesn't dissolve the lacquer. If the topcoat is gloss the panel lines will be smooth, if the top coat is dull the panel lines can giv a grimmy look. After the kit is finished I put a final top coat. If the base coat is lacquer you may not need the first top coat. Just play around with it.
