So that guy in the video with horrible music, is the first to report a broken VF-17?

If so that's a damn good record for Yamato?

I don't get the breaking of die-cast? It has to be faulty from the factory, or the the valk's durability is tested from the balcony.

Nah, we had one member here also reporting a breakage of the diecast hip bar.

Graham

I'm still convinced that they are the same guy.

Occasionally you do get bad castings, which fracture easily.

But then again, it could just be a case of the guy in the video using too much brute force.

I remember watching you being quite rough with your Yamato valks and everything was still perfectly okay. Can't imagine what kind of brute force this guy used (I currently work in China, so can't really watch the video on Youtube)

Thanks for reassuring me, guys. Though I seem to lean towards the VF-17D a bit more. I really can't buy each variant due to lack of space, but I'm sure to get one in the future. The VF-17, after all, was based on my favorite fighter plane the F-117 Nighthawk.

Based on his posting ways, I think the member here who broke his VF-17 is the same one on the video.

  • Same breaking place.
  • Same broken leg.
  • Same lubrication advice.
  • Same decaling.
  • Same hands.
  • Same English.

He must be the same :p

just wait yamato release super pack for VF-17, though toy is a bit different from animation design, Yamato VF-17 is the best toy for now, maybe for a long time

Absolutely.BANDAI has released the nes of vf-171EX, but I don't also believe that the design can do the better than YAMATO.

I wonder how stable the back of this thing will be with the packs attached in Gerwalk? I've always felt that back portion was a little tedious on my 17S. With the extra weight I can't see how it won't sag a little bit... not that most people care about this things Gerwalk anyway, but still. Unless the fast packs happen to be super light.

The SP seem to be very simple so I don't expect them to be very heavy but more alla VF-11.

Always love your pics, but when you put valks on that soft, fuzzy, white blanket it reminds me of a Playboy shoot. Throw down a few rose pedals and put the valks in more "suggestive" poses and you could have some serious mech porn going on.

Hahaha, that's a good one. So pardon my ignorance but other than the head and detail colour, the VF-17S and VF-1D are not different?

That is correct. Head shape and wing detail are the only differences... unless it turns out Yamato has found some engineering thing they'd like to tweak/tinker with.
