Frogze Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Anything I order over €80 is always opened and inspected at customs (central Europe), with a hefty fee slammed on it. Plus customs always take their sweet time, and it may take over a week for them to release the package... I'll be lucky if my VF-17 arrives by next Friday. Anyone else in the EU have the same happen to them? Yes, me too, but in my case it seems to be exclusive to the stuff that comes from Japan
VF5SS Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 You may see something on the collectiondx youtube page within however long it takes to process a big video. just an fyi
biggooftoybox Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Wow all your comments makes me want to get it soon too. BUt i told myself for such an expensive purchase got to wait for most of the versions to be announced before pulling the trigger on one. For the moment, i think the colouring and head of a VF-17D would still look better..... but i'm seriously thinking maybe i want to get this now. After that little fiasco i had with the VF-19S don't want to lose the chance now.
Mommar Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Hmm, I guess my estimate it would arrive today is off. Though Fed Ex says it went through customs yesterday and now it's been "In Transit" for over 24 hours... I hope that doesn't mean it's lost.
eriku Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 i used to do that all the time with my 1/65 VF-17D... Same here, I actually prefer it that way.
Renato Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 incredibly harsh lighting Nice. Those M7 toys look so great together.
Jasonc Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 That was actually a good review of the transformation and everything. Just got home about an hour ago, and got to transform it, and play a bit with it. Impressive. As usual, you have to be very careful in some spots as to not scratch the exterior, but overall, not issues. It's a solid toy, and can pose very easily. The gun IS HUGE! Bigger than remember it, but for a large Valkyrie, it seems to fit very well.
Reïvaj Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) incredibly harsh lighting Thanks for the review! Edited December 31, 2011 by Reïvaj
Razerwire Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Just a heads up. In fighter and gerwalk modes the metal tab that's on the backpack connector can scratch up the face, in particular the mouth. Happened to mine when I transformed it back to fighter mode.
VF-18S Hornet Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 just sent off payment for mine only 64.54 was taken out of my bank account as I used the rest funds in my paypay account to pay it off.
Murphy Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Wow I just paid 25480yen including shipping for this thing, I'm going to be kickin myself if this thing goes on sale later
charger69 Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) incredibly harsh lighting Another perfect review! Thank you very much veef Edited December 31, 2011 by charger69
VF5SS Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Nice. Those M7 toys look so great together. I would have brought the other VF-22S toys down but they're on the top shelf behind a bunch of things. Isn't it funny that the show with the most variety of Valkyries was never utilized in this capacity by its original sponsor :3
knoted Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Thanks for the videoreview. How's the lateral hip rotation ? Can it rotate outwards 30 degrees or more ?
Dobber Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) Great review veef. Really makes me appreciate the 17 a bit more. Question, in fighter mode, is that a gun barrel on the right leg under surface? It's not on the other leg. You may have mentioned it in your review but I got a phone call and may have missed your description and I'm not familiar with the design. Chris Edited December 31, 2011 by Dobber
VF5SS Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) I'm not going to get out my protractor but I think it's pretty good. You may want to put the feet on something with fabric since the soles don't have a lot of traction. Question, in fighter mode, is that a gun barrel on the right leg under surface? It's not on the other leg. You may have mentioned it in your review but I got a phone call and may have missed your description and I'm not familiar with the design. Yeah it's just on the one side since that's where the gun stores. Edited December 31, 2011 by VF5SS
ErikElvis Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Wow I just paid 25480yen including shipping for this thing, I'm going to be kickin myself if this thing goes on sale later I with ya. Its seems theres no problems with stock so I see a discount in the future....
ErikElvis Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I with ya. Its seems theres no problems with stock so I see a discount in the future.... But to add I loving the new pictures. It looks great. I have a feeling it will look even better in person. But for this one Im truly torn between displaying between fighter and battroid. they both look great. And Im not one to change it after initial transformation or non transformation for that matter....

Froy Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Damn! I knew that I should have placed my order before christmas. Now I have to wait for HLJ staff return to work after Janaruay 6. Damn!
UN Spacy Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Beautiful shots ff95gj...thanks for sharing.
Mommar Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Dang, I'm bummed it took extra time for mine to ship. It's sitting here in Albuquerque at Fed Ex and I can't get it until Monday.
Reïvaj Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Some pics for sharing! More thoughts on it later... Great pics, beautiful toy! Thanks for sharing, ff5gj!

Renato Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I would have brought the other VF-22S toys down but they're on the top shelf behind a bunch of things. Isn't it funny that the show with the most variety of Valkyries was never utilized in this capacity by its original sponsor :3 No, it's a crying shame... i've been waiting decades!
VF5SS Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) It's only been about 16 years man :3 Jeez, I can almost fill in the Valkyrie timeline that was printed inside the box of my old 1/100 Variable Fire Valkyrie kit. Edited January 1, 2012 by VF5SS
Andy NYK Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Some pics for sharing! More thoughts on it later... imho, i think kinryu deserves some credit in the vf-17s too. and the blast effect looks awesome.
Uxi Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Dayum, great pics ff. Making me really regret not getting that good evilbay price I saw. Same seller has sold though a couple times: first at $240+45 shipping, then $260+45 shipping, now $280+45 shipping. Guess I'll be waiting for a sale.
Grand Admiral Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 That's a really nice looking valk. I wish I had the budget for one.
Mommar Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Isn't the toy lacking some color or markings? Graham mentioned earlier that the designer specifically left the two Kites and the Diamond Force logo off because he didn't think they looked very good.
Renato Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 It's only been about 16 years man :3 Jeez, I can almost fill in the Valkyrie timeline that was printed inside the box of my old 1/100 Variable Fire Valkyrie kit. "Almost" meaning... "Mylene, where are you??"
