PetarB
Yes please! This could be a lot of fun. I wonder how many here remember the original?
Renato
Yep, this looks interesting, we were talking about this in the "Current Anime" thread very recently. Maybe we should have a "Retro Anime" thread, though.
Funkenstein
Cobra will probably be the easiest property to turn into a live-action movie. It's got everything, cool dudes, sexy women, tight pants.

Vespaeda
Never seen the original, but love the art/mook and manga versions I thumbed thru in Japan. Wish more action heroes would utilize a fore-arm gun.
mpchi
I look forward to this, and hope it turns out good too. I had fond memories of the old TV show when I was very young. Great cartoon, and the often sexy appearance of pretty ladies always made me wonder back then if this was a show for my age. But at the same time, it was aired during after school hours (prime time for kids) everyday and it was pretty popular. Its not until many years later did I know that the version that I grew up with was a censored version. And the real deal (manga especially) is definitely not something for a 10-year-old. Good times. Great music too. Edited May 8, 2011 by mpchi
Lonely Soldier Boy
I've read some time ago that Aja choose one of the best Cobra stories to adapt (the one with the hot triplets with the treasure maps tattooed to their backs). That and the fact that Aja is a hardcore Cobra fan make for very promising start. I envy the guy so much.
terry the lone wolf
Cobra is tailored made for live action. In a perfect world it would be rated a hard R but I feel there'll be pressure to have it a strong PG-13.
Lobizon
In a perfect world it would be rated a hard R but I feel there'll be pressure to have it a strong PG-13. Remember, Almost all Alex Aja work was rated NC-17 and R. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0014960/
