I'm getting tickets for RAW's Wrestlemania Revenge Tour on May 5th in San Jose.

Hopefully it's good.

Now this is too good to be true...

WWE issued a text message via their mobile service confirming that Randy Orton has been suspended for "unprofessional conduct."

We've heard it is for 60 days.

Orton had been advertised for tonight's main event at the SmackDown! tapings.

Randy Orton's 60 day suspension is set to kick in next Wednesday, on April 12th. He wrestled at last night's Smackdown tapings. Also, it was announced at last night's Smackdown tapings that he will be wrestling at next week's tapings. And then he will be gone until mid-June.

Last night on RAW:

- Can someone tell WWE staff that the scholar/teacher gimmick failed at least three times in the past? I don't think anyone cares if Matt Stryker was a former teacher.

- And I'm confused now - isn't Carlito supposed to be a heel?

- Vinnie Mac ordered HBK to face Umaga. After Umaga shoved his thumb against HBK's throat, Vinnie Mac ordered him and Armando Alejandro Estrada to leave the ring while he prepared to finish HBK off. When Vinnie Mac picked up a chair and prepared to enter the ring with HBK tied against the ropes, lightning struck the ring posts. He then walked toward the exit, but when he was about to return to ringside, the TitanTron ramp burst into flames. This whole "divine intervention" storyline better be the last of the whole HBK/Vinnie Mac feud.

- If anyone here actually cares about the Trish/Mickie storyline, stand up and take your chairshot.

- Can we stop with these 2-on-1 handicap matches already? It doesn't matter who's teamed up between Cena, HHH and Edge. Nobody cares.

My friend Mike, who was with me for RAW three weeks ago, is down in St. Louis right now and was at RAW last night. Gotta find out how things went.

I'll try to post some of my remaining pictures from RAW 3 weeks ago when I get home tonight. :)

On a totally unrelated note, did anyone see the Samoa Joe/Christopher Daniels match last Thursday night on Impact? Brutal match, and Joe pulled out the Island driver from the second rope to put Daniels away :o .

Goddamn, I missed that. I completely forgot that TNA moved to Thursday nights.

Dude, since you're posting all these gay related pics, aren't you saying something about yourself. ;)

Anyway, time to post some remaining pictures from three weeks ago. :)

First of which "Whooooo!!!!!!!!" After Ric Flair came out to talk about the Money in the Bank match for was confronted by IC Champion Shelton Benjamin. After Benjamin attacked Flair and had the the advantage, RVD came in for the save. Of course, Flair attacked RVD afterwards. :p

What? That I'm perfectly secure with my heterosexuality and that I can laugh at sh!t like this?

And what other "gay" pics have I posted?

BTW, did anyone go to UFC 59 in Anaheim this past weekend?

After the whole Flair/Benjamin/RVD thing, Maria cam out for the Kiss Cam portion of the show. The scary part was when the camera showed backstage and Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson started to embrace and looked like they started to kiss... even scarier is Pat Patterson probably liked it!

Immediately afterwards, Val Venus, Eugene, and Viscera took on the Spirit Squad. During the match, Val "hurt his arm"... later when I saw him driving away from the Qwest Center, he looked perfectly okay. :D

By this time my batteries started to run out and I had to conserve my batteries for the last few matches.

"You've got no chance (duhdada, duh, duh, duhhh) no chance in hell..."

Last match, John "Ice, Ice, Baby" Cena vs. Vince McMahon while HHH and HBK were hancuffed to the sides. Of course HHH got uncuffed and all hell broke loose. HBK got hit by both HHH's hammer and Vince's chair. Cena was taken out by HHH's hammer and was bleeding all over.

After the last match, my friend Mike and I stood on the northwest corner of the Qwest Center watching some of the wrestlers and other WWE stars drive by or be escorted. Here's a run down of some of who I saw.

Arn Anderson - first guy we saw.

Maria - she was driving by herself. We waved to her and she waved backed; then she slid down a little deeper in the driver's seat! Virtually every wrestler that we saw driving a rental car or SUV was talking into a cell phone. If they were really talking or just using this as a security blanket of sorts, I don't know.

Val Venus - Where's your sling, Val? :D

Edge - Someone walking in front of his vehicle while he was waiting to turn left realized it was him and took his picture. All the while Edge pretended the guy wasn't there.

Sgt. Slaughter, Gerald Brisco, and Pat Patterson were in one car together - Slaughter waved back and gave us a thumbs up. Definitely one of the best responses of any of the WWE guys at that intersection.

Spirit Squad - in several vehicles.

Shelton Benjamin - While the light was still red(and it had been red for a while), Benjamin just darted out in the middle of the street and made a left hand turn. No one was bothering him or anything. Prick! :p

Lillian Garcia - She gave a quick smile and waved back to us. :)

A black limo and a white limo - we presume Vince was in the one and HHH and Stephanie were in the other. My friend Mike, who is an actor at a local theater, performed his own immitation of how Vince walks around these days. I wonder what Vince thought? :D

HBK - see a page back for the full story.

It wasn't my idea but we tracked some of the wrestlers back to the Double Tree Hotel here in downtown Omaha. Goldust did sign a number of autographs and was talking about how him and Booker T were going to be teaming up again... their segment together on Wrestlemania the next weekend seems to give creedance to that. I missed out talking to him and getting my picture with him, but I got a shot of him and a few other wrestlers leaving in a van.

I did get a picture with Matt Striker... didn't even knew who he was until that night, but I can say that I had my picture taken with a WWE personality. :p

***********************

It was my first WWE/F event to attend in well over a decade and it was a fun evening. The next time RAW or Smackdown are in town, I just might go. :)

Umaga shoved his thumb through Ric Flair's throat for the win.

WWE Women's Championship

Trish Stratus def. Mickie James by DQ when Mickie choked Trish with a strap.

WWE Intercontinental Championship vs. Money in the Bank

Rob Van Dam destroyed Shelton Benjamin with the Van Daminator (using the briefcase) and the Five-Star Frog Splash.

Big Show vs. Kane ended in a no-contest.

No-Holds-Barred

Vince McMahon/Shane McMahon def. Shawn Michaels after the Spirit Squad slammed HBK through a table.

WWE Championship - Triple-Threat

John Cena def. Triple-H and Edge after Cena reversed the Pedigree and rolled HHH for the pin. After the match, HHH nailed Cena with the sledgehammer.

Well. Just two more days till the Wrestlemania Revenge Tour hits San Jose. Hopefully it'll be a LOT more entertaining than last nights RAW.

I have some pretty decent seats I hope Cena puts on a good show.

Last night on The Triple-H Show:

- Terry Funk tried to reason with Foley; he even resorted to telling Foley his wife is a whore, his kids are bastards and the WWE sucks (well, at least one of them is true). That's when they both slugged it out before Edge ran in. Funk knocked both of them down, but fell victim to a low blow by Lita before being double-teamed by Edge and Foley.

- Umaga fighting local jobbers on a weekly basis is not gonna establish his character at all. It's just like going back to WWF Superstars squash matches.

- HHH was told to be at ringside for the HBK vs. Kenny (Spirit Squad) match with Shane-O Mac as guest referee. Towards the end of the match, Shane-O Mac held HBK and motioned for HHH to use the sledgehammer on him. As HHH ran, HBK ducked, causing HHH to hit Shane-O Mac in the head. Vinnie Mac ran in to check on Shane-O Mac's conditioned and called for the EMTs. HHH walked backwards towards the exit, apologizing as Vinnie Mac stared at him.

On a side note, who's gonna watch See No Evil? AFAIK, Kane has a fundamental problem with May 19 because The Da Vinci Code premieres on that date, and his movie will flop, anyway.

Latest news from TopWrestling.com:

Wrestler Steve Doll, part of the Southern Rockers tag team that was a bit hit in Oregon about 15 years ago, and later Steven Dunn of the tag team Well Dunn in the WWF, is clinging to life at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.

His kidneys shut down this morning and he is on life support.

Mike Johnson reports that at Saturday's WWE house show in El Paso, TX Sharmell the wife of Booker T and Melina were involved in a backstage pull apart fight.

Johnson says the fight stemmed from Melina's recent relationship with Batista. Melina has had major backstage heat in recent months for her relationship with Batista and her bad attitude. There is also heat on Johnny Nitro of MNM in regard to the SmackDown! locker room right now. The boys backstage feel Nitro is growing distant from everyone in the locker room since he is now currently dating Melina. It seems that Nitro is always by Melina's side instead of being with the boys. She was even taken to wrestler's court where Undertaker is the judge before a Smackdown taping recently.

JBL of all people was the one who broke the fight up and was the peace maker during the altercation

The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE's ECW brand will receive a weekly TV series on the Sci-Fi network.

Sci-Fi, which is a sister-network to USA under the NBC Universal umbrella, is expected to issue a press release by next week.

The show will reportedly debut in mid-to-late June

Earlier this week on The Triple-H Show:

- Kane vs. Kane? Or is this just a rehash of Undertaker vs. Undertaker from 10 years ago?

- Paul Heyman announced that RVD is officially part of the new ECW. However, Kurt Angle jumping ship was completely unexpected.

- After being fired on SmackDown!, Johnny Nitro and Melina jumped to RAW. Mmmmm, Melina...

- HHH vs. the Spirit Squad. Yawn.

As soon as ECW gets their own show, I might as well give up watching RAW.

Road Warrior Animal Released

June 6, 2006

As first reported on WWE Mobile, WWE has come to an agreement on the release of Road Warrior Animal (Joe Laurinaitis) as of today June 6, 2006. We wish Joe the best in all future endeavors.

Anyway, last night on The Triple-H Show:

- Perhaps the only good thing about last night's episode was ECW giving the fans what they wanted: John Cena beaten to a pulp.

- Vinnie Mac should've already learned that the whole Kiss My Ass gimmick is dead. The crowd was dead throughout the entire segment. Even HHH received zero pop.

Did anybody watch the WWE vs ECW special Wednesday night? It had a decent Rey vs RVD match(where RVD went over CLEAN on Smackdown's world champ) and some terrific "shoot" commentary between Tazz/Lawler/Styles. I'm not totally sold on Vince's new "brand" of ECW, but after reading some interviews with Heyman, he seems committed to re-inventing ECW, not re-treading old material. He also mentioned utilizing not only poorly-used WWE talents(Big Show), but OVW and Deep South talent as well. CM Punk vs Sandman practically writes itself!!

ECW One Night Stand Results

Tazz put Jerry "The King" Lawler to sleep with the Tazmission.

Kurt Angle made Randy Orton tap out.

The FBI (Full-Blooded Italians) def. Super Crazy/Tajiri via double fisherman buster on Tajiri.

World Heavyweight Championship

Rey Mysterio and Sabu fought to a no-contest after Sabu landed a flying DDT on Mysterio through a table and both men couldn't get up.

Edge/Mick Foley/Lita def. Tommy Dreamer/Terry Funk/Beulah McGillycutty after Edge speared Beulah.

Balls Mahoney bashed Masato Tanaka with a steel chair for the win.

WWE Heavyweight Championship

Throughout the entire match, John Cena was on the offensive, trying as much to ignore the rabid fans while keeping Rob Van Dam on the ground. It looked like he had the advantage when he knocked out the ECW referee and brought in SmackDown! referee Nick Patrick to make the count. Then, out of nowhere, someone wearing a trenchcoat and a biker helmet ran in and speared Cena through a table before knocking out Patrick. He removed his helmet, revealing himself as Edge. The fans chanted, "Thank You Edge!" as he ran off. RVD finished off Cena with the Five-Star Frog Splash. As RVD tried to get an unconscious Patrick, Paul Heyman ran in and made the three-count.

Winner and New WWE Champion: Rob Van Dam

BTW, set your VCRs, because ECW premieres this Tuesday night at 9 (8 Central) on SciFi.

Additional ECW Notes

Sign of the week: "If Cena Wins We Riot"

If you've never seen an ECW crowd, you're missing a lot. They're probably the most rabid crowd in a wrestling event. WWE Superstars received the following chants:

"You Suck C*ck!"

"Orton Swallows!"

"Shut the F*ck Up!"

"F*ck Him Up Sandman F*ck Him Up!"

"Same Old Sh*t!"

"Cena Sucks D*ck!"

In the two minues he was in the ring, the Big Show displayed more wrestling skill than ever in his entire career.

Prepare for a swerve tomorrow night on RAW. Since Heyman made the three-count, the title change will most likely be unofficial. Therefore, Cena will probably keep the belt.

Otherwise, prepare for a feud between RVD and Edge, who will sign with ECW after screwing Cena over.

It was an ok show, and I agree the crowd made it in certain sections. I am disappointed in the booking of the "title change" although I highly doubt Heyman was allowed to book it. My big problem was that it felt like the "old" ECW, and not in a good way. ECW 10 years ago was cutting edge and trend setting, but that was 10 years ago. I have faith that Paul Heyman can come up with interesting concepts/angles but he better get started Tuesday. It was fun to watch, but in no way has it been on any level of any of the Ring of Honor shows that I have watched from this year(and it only costs $20 for a 3-plus hour show as opposed to $40 for WWECW). Looking forward to Tuesday....

The whole PPV would've been great had WWE not been too involved in it. Appearances by JBL and Eugene were pointless (not to mention a complete waste of Sandman's time). I'm hoping that ECW's new show starts out good tomorrow night.

Earlier tonight on The Kliq Show:

- Well, as of tonight, RAW has changed from The Triple-H Show to The Kliq Show, as HHH and HBK reformed D-Generation X.

- Meanwhile, Cena unleashed his dark side, lashing out his frustrations towards Edge and the ECW wrestlers at ringside. That still won't get him over, though.

- And Foley vs. Flair? Like anyone would be interested in that feud...

- Bad enough that Charlie Haas accidentally bumped Lilian Garcia out of the ring (and that wasn't even remotely in the script). Worse is that WWE decides to drag the accident into the Viscera/Lilian love story.

I am sure that they are trying to pop a good rating for the debut show, but with Cena and Edge both appearing Tuesday night, I can already see what this is going to turn out to be. While I wouldn't mind Edge and Lita as the new "Franchise" and "Francine" of the new ECW, I want John Cena off my TV, RIGHT NOW!!!! Oh well, at least I have the Samoa Joe/Kenta/Bryan Danielson ROH match and Samoa Joe vs Scott Steiner (TNA) this weekend :)

Well, that's a waste of Samoa Joe's time, especially since Steiner's known not to sell to anyone. TNA's beginning to lose my interest now that Sting, Nash and Steiner are in it. Right when the X-Division was to be the future of pro wrestling, Jeff Jarrett decided to bring in more has-beens. It's WCW all over again.

I wouldn't write it off yet. I fully expect Joe and BPP to stiff the holy hell out of each other and for Joe to win. They are pretty much building up Joe as their main player, as in the tag match last month he kicked out of Jarrett's finisher, TWICE B)) . They are just using these WCW guys to draw fans in to the product and put the younger guys over, case in point: who has the belt, Christian Cage. Trying to find WCW's audince is smart, because when the WWEvil bought WCW, WCW's fans(that they had left) just stopped watching wrestling, the ratings show this. Plus Low-Ki is now in TNA, and a Joe/Low-Ki match HAS to happen!!!

Wow...that was a rather dull start for ECW on SciFi:

- Surprisingly, RVD received no pop when he was given the ECW title. As much as he likes the new belt, he said he's keeping Cena's WWE title because it spins.

- Cena's appearance and attack on Edge did nothing to make the show interesting.

- WTF was with the Zombie and vampire on the show?

- Hell, this show doesn't feel like ECW at all. It's more like Velocity on crack. The only thing interesting about tonight's episode was that blonde chick Kelly. Hopefully, the pace picks up next week.

Posted

I just wasn't feeling this. I checked it out against my better judgement and I think part of what made the whole thing seem off as that it was in this large arena while ECW was held in smaller places. That's what was part of the draw I think. How intense the crow was, either them being positive or negative. I didn't get that from last nights show.

Take the playbacks from ECW: One Night Stand or whatever it was called that they showed and compared them to last nights show. There is a major difference due to the location itself and the larger arena takes away from it I think. It works for WWE I think. Even WcW and TNA have somewhat smaller locations and it works for them.
