bandit29 Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Here some Austin news. I'd like to had seen this fight lol The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Steve Austin and ex-girlfriend Tess Broussard were involved in another incident earlier this month. Austin and business manager George Vrabeck brought Broussard to California, with the intentions of presenting her with a $1.5 million check. In exchange for the check, Broussard would move out of Austin's life and agree not to pursue legal ramifications for any past incidents. "I'm not a rocket scientist," Austin told The Times "But I knew I had to get out of this relationship....The plan was to go out, have a nice steak, hand [broussard] a check and get on with my life." After eating dinner at Mastro's Steakhouse, the two went to meet Vrabeck. However, Broussard's mood changed. Austin's former girlfriend claimed that they were not breaking up, since they had a wonderful night. She started getting irate. Broussard then got on top of a table and tried to stab Austin with a steak knife. Everyone went down in a scuffle, before Austin's security guard was able to handcuff Broussard. Vrabeck was cut in his arm, while Austin banged his head. Softcore porn actress, Broussard, is now claiming a lawsuit worth $10 million has been fired against Austin for luring her to the restaurant to stage an assault. The lawsuit also brings up one of the domestic abuse incidents from Texas. Tess' story claims that Austin threw her back into her chair, before the guard came and knocked her down. She then saw Vrabeck stabbing himself, to the point where he started bleeding. The guard then said "I saw you stab him," indicating that she'd been set up. More comments from Broussard included, "[Austin] turned into another character — mean, horrible, violent and emotionally abusive. He drank every night, beginning at 6 p.m. until he would pass out around 1 a.m." When it was noted that Austin claimed she had a problem with medication, she responded, "He got me started on pills. He'd open my mouth like an animal and stick the pills in my mouth. He said, if I'm taking them, you're taking them too." On the subject of why they keep seeing each other, Broussard offered, "I was naive. He'd apologize and say he'd change and go to counseling, but he never did. He told me I was his soul mate, so I kept going back and really believed in the relationship. But it was a lot of empty promises." Austin stated, "I kept seeing her because, as kooky as she was, I still loved her. I feel like I've been a pawn on the chessboard. I was too trusting and too nice, and that's what I'll have to live with." Austin currently lives in Los Angeles with Diamond Dallas Page, and will be seen on the screen in Adam Sandler's "The Longest Yard." http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2004_/arti.../1092756995.php
Anubis Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 So the bitch tries to stab him in public with a steak knife and it's his fault? Guess she didn't really want the check. Twisted.
Mallet21 Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 The Texas Rattlesnake and DDP living together...Now thats a reality show I might actually watch.
areaseven Posted August 18, 2004 Author Posted August 18, 2004 but winning $250k ...thats some deal for the winning DIVA. The truth is that the winner will not get $250K out front. She's just going to win a contract that pays her $250K for one whole year. This alone has most of the regular Divas upset, as they're paid much less than this amount.
areaseven Posted August 24, 2004 Author Posted August 24, 2004 Last night on RAW: - Orton spit a huge load on HHH's face. - Edge got DQ'd for throwing Y2J crotch-first on the top rope. Seriously, when did this become grounds for a DQ? - Kane has been part of some of the worst angles in wrestling history, but the Wedding From Hell may probably top them all. And it also shows how piss-poor Lita is with her mic skills.
Effect Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Didn't think things could get any worse but WWE just keeps hitting new lows.
areaseven Posted August 26, 2004 Author Posted August 26, 2004 Well, look who's on the official Minnesota Vikings website:
UN Spacy Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 ^ I hope he really makes it into regular season, I can't WAIT for the day he finally snaps and F5's a quarterback. Mark my words fellow Macrossworlders. Brock Lesnar is the second coming of Brian Bosworth (it's just too bad Bo Jackson can't mess em BOTH up). Hehehehe.
Mallet21 Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 Its mostly P.R. with Lesnar and the Vikings ..... He has a very slim chance of even making the practice squad. Lesnar article in Minneapolis Star Tribune
bandit29 Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 Lesnar was a fool. Threw it all away. He'll be back in the WWE in a year(if they want him back).
areaseven Posted August 31, 2004 Author Posted August 31, 2004 Last night on RAW: - Yet another boring Orton vs. Evolution promo. - Did you guys hear what the RAW Diva Search contestants were saying to each other? - Once again, Batista proved to everyone that he can't sell a match. - What was the whole point of the Kane vs. the Hardyz segment? - Christian made his return by attacking Y2J from behind. - Wow...HHH actually jobbed to Eugene after Orton gave him the RKO. Another day, another lame episode of RAW.
areaseven Posted August 31, 2004 Author Posted August 31, 2004 Its mostly P.R. with Lesnar and the Vikings ..... He has a very slim chance of even making the practice squad. Lesnar article in Minneapolis Star Tribune Well, we spoke too soon. Lesnar's fantasy camp with Vikings comes to an endEDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- Brock Lesnar won't be the next big thing in the NFL -- at least not this year. The former pro wrestling star who hadn't played football in nine years, was cut by the Minnesota Vikings on Monday. Lesnar developed faster than expected and impressed his teammates with hard work. But his lack of football experience -- combined with minimal playing time and a groin injury from an April motorcycle accident -- were too much to overcome in just one month of training camp. ``He gave me a hug,'' coach Mike Tice said. ``He was very happy for the chance.'' Lesnar, 27, won the 2000 NCAA heavyweight championship at the University of Minnesota, and gained pro wrestling fame as 'The Next Big Thing'. But despite a seven-year, $45 million WWE contract, he decided to pursue a professional football career. On the eve of training camp, Lesnar signed a one-year contract with the Vikings for $230,000, the rookie minimum. ``When he called me, that's all he asked for, is an opportunity,'' Tice said. ``I think we gave him a good opportunity to see if this is what he wanted to do.'' Tice declined to speculate about whether Lesnar would be added to the Vikings' practice squad, but said the club would be ``proud'' to allocate him to the NFL's developmental league next spring. ``I suggest to him that he should at some point end up in NFL Europe this year and play,'' Tice said. ``Hopefully, that will be as a Viking.'' Lesnar wasn't available for comment. His agent, Ed Hitchcock, said Lesnar wants to continue his development on the practice squad and in NFL Europe. ``He's committed to this long-term,'' Hitchcock said. ``He's realistic about what it takes to develop. There are players who've played this game all their lives who take a couple of years to develop (in the NFL).'' http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-v...ov=ap&type=lgns [ Credit: Yahoo! News ]
areaseven Posted September 2, 2004 Author Posted September 2, 2004 Next week, THQ will release WWE Day of Reckoning for the Gamecube. Gamespot.com has already hailed it as the best wrestling game (8.2 out of 10) next to the PS2's WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain (9.0 out of 10). BTW, why is Trish on the cover? None of the Divas have done anything over the past year. Nice way of using Y2J on the logo, though. And some more wrestling game news (source: Gamespot.com): Good News: The WrestleMania name will be transferred from the Gamecube to the XBOX starting with WrestleMania 21 next year. Bad News: Neither Yuke's (SmackDown!, Day of Reckoning) nor Anchor (RAW 1-2) will be developing the new WM game. THQ and WWE have left the development to Studio Gigante, the company behind the POS fighter Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus.
bsu legato Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Apparently Brock Lesnar is negotiating with my local CFL team, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. If he doesn't get picked up in the NFL, there's a good chance he could wind up here.

If he doesn't get picked up in the NFL, there's a good chance he could wind up here. I don't know about that. If The Rock didn't get a break in CFL, Lesnar's chances will be no better.
bsu legato Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Well I'll keep you posted. They were talking to the team trainer, and he seemed pretty positive.
areaseven Posted September 3, 2004 Author Posted September 3, 2004 Last night on SmackDown!: - Heidenreich needs to go back to training camp. - Exactly what is this "anger management" angle Big Show will get himself into? - Eddie Guerrero once again lost to Angle. Don't know why WWE's building up Luther Reigns, though. He's just as bad as Batista.
Hubert Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Yesterday in france there was on tv the raw episode A7 told about the Jul 20 2004, 03:44 PM . It was just boring, i always wonder why i watch it as here on tv they show more speaking than fighting :| bastista is as always : bad , his muscles with the weird veins ... sooo ugly I wonder till when he ll succeed to live, he must juice so bad A7, what kind of people watch raw ?? Who s average public of the WWE ?
wakobi Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Day of Reckoning reminds me in many ways of the old N64 AKI grapplers, with their tried and tested pressure based strong/weak grapples and strike/hold countering system. To be honest i'm really looking forward to it as for once my beloved GC, isn't getting diet Smackdown for the third year in a row. Also for us Europeans, the boxart is somewhat different: Can't also wait for Smackdown Vs Raw, online ass-whuppin's here we come!
areaseven Posted September 3, 2004 Author Posted September 3, 2004 (edited) Also for us Europeans, the boxart is somewhat different:Can't also wait for Smackdown Vs Raw, online ass-whuppin's here we come! Seriously, why did they put Batista on the cover? Being a member of Evolution doesn't mean squat for him. Edited February 18, 2006 by areaseven
areaseven Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 Now this is old-school material worth picking up: The Best of the Von Erichs DVD
Seven Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Last night on SmackDown!:- Heidenreich needs to go back to training camp. - Exactly what is this "anger management" angle Big Show will get himself into? - Eddie Guerrero once again lost to Angle. Don't know why WWE's building up Luther Reigns, though. He's just as bad as Batista. Hey areaseven, it's been great and all that you've been supplying MW with a weekly recap of WWE stuff, but seeing as how even you've been admitting that it's been really bad as of late, why do you keep taking in the punishment of watching it regularly? I basically gave up a long time ago after the whole WWF vs WCW vs ECW crapfest and then the whole Evolution thing reeks. The Eugene stuff just put me overboard and finally got me to stop watching altogether.
Hubert Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 the Eugene stuff is fine, I love it , mostly when he does all the special move of the old stars, it's very funny . I watch raw as a comedy and Eugene is better than many other who add nothing to the show. The thing I dont understand is why there is no other "team" to counter the evolution ; Orton and batista have no charisma areaseven it's great that u give WWE result although for me it 's spoiler as I see it only about 1 month after do you watch event like UFC or PRIDE too ?
areaseven Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 areaseven it's great that u give WWE result although for me it 's spoiler as I see it only about 1 month after do you watch event like UFC or PRIDE too ? Unfortunately, I never get a chance to watch UFC, Pride FC or K-1. All this crap happening in the WWE makes me wish I didn't sell my FMW DVDs.
areaseven Posted September 7, 2004 Author Posted September 7, 2004 Another stale episode of RAW: - Since Edge has a groin injury, Bischoff had to strip him of the Intercontinental belt. This Sunday, Y2J and Christian go at it in a ladder match for the title. - How sad...Benoit was World Champion. Now he's doing mid-card tag matches. - HHH vs. Eugene - the single worst steel cage match in history. - What kind of World Champion fumbles his lines and laughs about it in the middle of the promo? - Orton defeated Kane in a non-title steel cage match. Yup, he's dropping the strap to HHH this Sunday.
bandit29 Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 - What kind of World Champion fumbles his lines and laughs about it in the middle of the promo? That was hilarious. Even the interviewer fumbled through his questions at the beginning of the interview. I watched RAW for the first time in a month last night....ugh I see it hasn't changed much...awful.
VortexVFX Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 I hope NWA-Tna could step it up in the TV shows. One of these days RAW and Smackdown will have some other show kicking its ass. The sooner the better.

areaseven Posted September 8, 2004 Author Posted September 8, 2004 Btw, from what I heard he did play Jason. The guy who played Jason in Jason X is named Kane, but he's a different person.
areaseven Posted September 9, 2004 Author Posted September 9, 2004 Tonight on SmackDown!: - Theodore Long announces that JBL must defend the WWE title against the Undertaker in a Last Ride match at No Mercy next month. It's similar to last year's Kane vs. Shane McMahon ambulance match; only that a hearse will be used instead of an ambulance. - Billy Kidman and Paul London lose the Tag titles to Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree after Kidman once again walked out of the match. Kidman is currently being punished by WWE for injuring Chavo Guerrero two weeks ago. - Who the hell is Carlito Caribbean Cool?! - What's with Heidenrich's fetish with announcers? - Big Slow made his return by kicking everyone out of the ring before chokeslamming Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle in the lumberjack match. Yawn.
areaseven Posted September 10, 2004 Author Posted September 10, 2004 The WWE Diva Search isn't over yet, but one of the contestants is already in trouble with the law (report from TOPWRESTLING.com): Charges have officially been filed regarding the incident in a Cleveland bar that saw WWE Diva Contestant Carmella DeCesare accused of assaulting Kristin Hine.Hine has filed for a restraining order against the Playmate of the Year, who she accused of kicking her in the head. The charges did not warrant the police to actively pursue Carmella, but if she were to have been pulled over at a traffic stop, she would've been taken into custody. Carmella avoided that situation by turning herself in. WUAB-TV in Cleveland featured video footage of Carmella turning herself in, and teased comments from the diva hopeful later tonight.
bsu legato Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Noooooo...not sweet little Carmella. She's the only thing that makes RAW watchable these days, even if it's for only 5 minutes during thier insipid Diva Search. So is anybody even bothering with the PPV this weekend?
