maxwinamp Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 It's being a LOOONG time since I built any Macross. Just completed this, I have to trim off the gold from the decal. Airbrushed the blue and reapply the gold trim. The rest: http://www.outthere.info/VF-1A/page1.htm Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Great job!!!! Are the intakes supposed to remain white? Can you take pics of the underside? Thanks, NB4M Quote
RogueTrooper Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Very nice, thik its the first time ive seen this one built. Quote
jenius Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 This is a way better scheme than Yamato's 25th anniversary schemes... and a very impressive job with the model. Quote

Shaorin Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 (edited) hold on a minute, does this mean that HASEGAWA has been able to produce/sell ONLY 5000 VF-1 kits to date? only 5000 units in TEN YEARS of production? geez, i thought MACROSS fandom was bigger than that in Japan alone... and yes, it is a BEAUTIFUL color scheme, IMHO... No, it's an in-universe example of the 5000th VF-1 built. Aircraft manufacturers do that for milestone production examples sometimes, such as this 5 Grand, the 5000th B-17 built. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8DAL7gPYBiM/TBZOKYg9UBI/AAAAAAAAAYs/VOYBK944tnw/s1600/5Grand.jpg It was signed by the factory workers. Shaorin Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 ah, thanks kindly. this is a very beautiful commemorative color scheme. it would be nice if YAMATO could produce a 1/60v.II of it. Real Nice... Quote
Vi-RS Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 It's interesting that Yamato did lots of custom scheme with 1/48 but not much or close to none on 1/60 V2. Quote
