This is a way better scheme than Yamato's 25th anniversary schemes... and a very impressive job with the model.

Agreed, this color scheme blows the doors off the 25th Anniversary types, Yamato should make a 1/60 in these colors!! B))

hold on a minute, does this mean that HASEGAWA has been able to produce/sell ONLY 5000 VF-1 kits to date?

only 5000 units in TEN YEARS of production?

geez, i thought MACROSS fandom was bigger than that in Japan alone...

and yes, it is a BEAUTIFUL color scheme, IMHO...

No, it's an in-universe example of the 5000th VF-1 built. Aircraft manufacturers do that for milestone production examples sometimes, such as this 5 Grand, the 5000th B-17 built. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8DAL7gPYBiM/TBZOKYg9UBI/AAAAAAAAAYs/VOYBK944tnw/s1600/5Grand.jpg It was signed by the factory workers.

ah, thanks kindly.

this is a very beautiful commemorative color scheme.

it would be nice if YAMATO could produce a 1/60v.II of it. Real Nice...
