Hikuro Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 ^^ no problem for me, going to work all week helps the time pass by, not too mention if I'm at work I can download episode 3 and actually have patients for it. Once that's done I can start putting episodes 1,2,3 into a DVD cd. Quote
Hurricane29 Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 Well, I will just have to wait a week like I did for ep2, but 3 looks like it will be the best yet. Roy in GBP vs. Ivanov. Quote

MAXXxxx Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 I hope that until the whole thing could be gotten as 1 dvd (box) the poeple would put the RAW versions with AC3 sound on the net too, not just the hardcoded fansub Quote

Hurricane29 Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 (edited) Yeah, ANBU, great stuff better then just about all others. Edited November 28, 2003 by Hurricane29 Quote
dna Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 Great; those are the ones I've got already - now I just have to figure out how to use this thing Quote
Oihan Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 I can't seem to find the ANBU-AONE fansubs. I've only been able to find the NLA fansubs. I don't know well they're translated, but the picture quality is very nice! Quote
duckie81 Posted November 29, 2003 Posted November 29, 2003 Thats good to hear. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy Quote
areaseven Posted November 30, 2003 Posted November 30, 2003 (edited) Here's my short rundown of the Macross Zero fansubs: Alpha Anime (Episode 1) Pros: Great picture and sound quality. Clean subtitles. Cons: Some minor translation errors. ANBU/AonE (Episodes 1-2) Pros: Outstanding picture and sound quality. Remarkable translation. Cons: Uses "Battloid" instead of "Battroid" on episode 2. AnimeFactory/Anime-Fansubs (Episode 2) Pros: More vibrant colors. Great sound quality. Cons: Translation errors. AnimeJunkies (Episodes 1-2) Pros: It's Macross Zero. Cons: Don't get me started on how piss-poor their version is. Hikari no Tamashii (Episode 1) Pros: Exceptional sound. Decent translation. Cons: Brightness level too high. Subtitle fonts clash with the title. Infusion Fansubs (Episodes 2-3) Pros: Excellent picture quality. Dolby 5.1 surround. Great translation. Cons: Weak sound on non-5.1 systems. Some grammar errors. NewLife Anime (Episodes 1-2) Pros: Excellent picture quality. Dolby 5.1 surround. Flawless translation. Clean subtitles. Cons: Weak sound on non-5.1 systems. Rice-Box (Episodes 1-2) Pros: Great translation. Impressive quality at smaller file sizes. Cons: Inconsistency with subtitle fonts on episode 2. areaseven Posted November 30, 2003 Posted November 30, 2003 I don't think I need to mention that they had to put out 2 versions of episode 2 because people ripped them apart with their first release which was...utter crap. Even with the second release, they still didn't get it right. They misspelled Battroid as "Battledroid" or something to that extent. They should've also done a revision of their episode 1 fansub as well. The translation and encoding are so off, it's not even funny: - Video suffers from blurry spots and "pink flakes." - They refer to the "Yaribue"/"Yariuwei" as a fishing spear. - Nobody got "AFOS" right the first time, but AJ went completely off by calling the relic "A-Force." To make matters more complicated, their translation mentions a "Dr. Frankton" when Aries was talking about the plankton embedded on AFOS. Quote
