Einherjar Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 The second batch of the season 6 episodes will start in June on Comedy Central. Prepare to laugh, cry, and throw up apparently this summer. Hope you have a strong stomach for this. Also, more good news everyone! The voice actors have been hinting that the series has been picked up for additional seasons, but today I think it's becoming more likely. Futurama Renewed For Another Season Quote
mechaninac Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 The new season premieres this thursday at 10PM (June 23)... can't wait! Quote
Einherjar Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) The throw-up warning is in full effect with the premiere episode having gender bending, with everyone! http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/tag/futurama/ Also notable is the season finale, which will be like an "Anthology of Interest" episode with one segment done in anime style. And surprisingly, it's going to have a Voltron parody that may actually look more like Voltron then a certain revival that came out recently. Anime Leela and Bender Anime Fry Edited June 20, 2011 by Einherjar Quote
Keith Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 The anime designs are actually pretty funny, though they missed the opportunity to go gainax on Leela. Quote
Einherjar Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 (edited) Let's go Action Delivery Force! Countdown to Futurama: Action Delivery Force (with Voltron theme) Edited June 22, 2011 by Einherjar Quote
Einherjar Posted June 24, 2011 Author Posted June 24, 2011 Oh god... Cannot unsee!!! "Thank God most of our fans are huge perverts!" - Leela Can't argue with that, unfortunately. Quote
Hikuro Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 girlfriend was making a big fuss cause I wanted to watch Jem on the hub lol so I got suckered with her cuteness to watch season 7. It waaaaassss......eh....there were a few chuckles but I wasn't sold yet. Quote

Einherjar Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 I liked "Benderama" more than the first one. Lots of zingers and the whole planet getting drunk won me over. Also, I hope there's a reason why they mixed up the order of the episodes this season. Quote
Keith Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 ...you wanted to watch Jem over Futurama? And stranger yet still, didn't find Futurama hilarious when compared with it... Quote

hutch Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 This season has actually been pretty good. Favorite line, from "Tip of the Zoidberg" "I'll be damned. It did make him a double yeti!" Quote
sdf2501 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 So did anyone catch tonight's episode/season finale "Reincarnation?" In the third segment, I know I caught the "Alien Attack" theme from Robotech, the Battle of the Planets main theme, and some Voltron music as well. I know I'm missing some. Anyone else recognize anything else? What I'd like to know is how they got the rights to use all that music. That was pretty cool though. Best finale ever! Quote

I guess they paid people to use them (Harmony Gold, World Events, etc.). I thought that was the best episode of the season. Edited September 9, 2011 by Einherjar Quote
Dynaman Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I guess they paid people to use them (Harmony Gold, World Events, etc.). Maybe, mabye not. If anything is Parody then Futurama is it. If the clips were not too long they could use them without paying anything, there is a good chance they may have paid just to keep things friendly though. Quote

Einherjar Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 I would love it if someone would finally lay the legal smack on HG though. Someday... Look at the bright side; the parody was still a good burn on the story telling methodology they still cling to. Quote
Einherjar Posted September 11, 2011 Author Posted September 11, 2011 They won an Emmy tonight... Outstanding Voice-Over Performance 2011 Outstanding Animated Program 2011 Quote
eriku Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Hopefully those Emmys will help give Futurama an even longer life. Futurama, Thundercats and Clone Wars are my trifecta of cartoon goodness right now. I demand to see Lrrr accepting that Emmy. Quote
Einherjar Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 The Emmys will be on this Sunday, so you might be able to see it. Quote
Einherjar Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Stupid Emmys, I thought it was pre-recorded and the crew would be on for their categories. Oh well, Season 6B DVDs coming December 20. And it's still not cancelled. http://dvd.ign.com/articles/119/1197338p1.html The Simpsons on the other hand, who knows. Quote
Keith Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 It's contract time again, Fox always screws with the simpsons cast during contract time. Quote
Einherjar Posted October 7, 2011 Author Posted October 7, 2011 It's contract time again, Fox always screws with the simpsons cast during contract time. They also did it with the Futurama cast before it came back. I don't know, with the way things are going for this show, it's kind of depressing that the Simpsons crew agreed to cuts. Quote
