Fly4victory Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 It better be. It better be... Doubt it, should have been a different color 'green screen' to remove it digitally unless they like lots of work. Quote
EXO Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 That's not so true any more. They use motion capture cameras to shoot the scene twice. One with the stand ins or actors and then a clean so they can superimpose the CG into the same shot. Add in some camera shakes and you have a natural looking shot with no green screen. I'm pretty sure all of the shots with the black suit Robocop will be replaced by a CG version complete with a mechanical hand. The hand is kept free from gloves to make it easier to maneuver the gun in action. You still need green screen for wide sceneries and a moving unrealized background. Or I could be wrong... It looks like from these concept art that they may keep the hand, if it's real. This may refer to the original where they mentioned that they can save the hand while Murphy was still on the operating table. Maybe they'll decide to take it off later on. Keeping IS lame though. Fly4victory Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Hence the lot of work comment, That is what was done for Ironman. The robocop suit we have seen will be replaced with a complete digital model like the art EXO posted. So how long will actors have a job other than their voice? Quote

Now that is more Robocopish. I'd prefer a thicker visor though. Or maybe like on the VF-19S. Quote
Radd Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 If that silver and black concept art is what he looks like in the final footage....I'm ok with that. Hand and all. I don't entirely dislike the black suit, just think it looks to flat. The silver makes it more visually interesting. Quote
badboy00z Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I wonder if they will keep the original theme song? Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Robocop Ver. 1 or Battle Armor Robocop ? Quote
CoryHolmes Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 The more I think about it, the more I've come to realize that as long as they keep the core tenents of Robocop the same: a man fighting his way out of a machine existence, then I'll be happy. The redesigns, the music, the acting... I can work with all of those as long as I get that basic premise. And... y'know... buckets and buckets of violence. Quote

miles316 Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 First Look At Robocop Remake’s EM-208 “Human Drones” It reminds me of one of the failed Robocop's from "Robocop 2". Quote
electric indigo Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Looks like a very generic superhero comic minion design. IMO the robotic cops from the Total Recall remake looked more believable from a product design perspective. Quote
anime52k8 Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 The Robots from the Total Recall remake where awesome and the single best part of that movie. Quote
wm cheng Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 First Look At Robocop Remake’s EM-208 “Human Drones” Hey, that's a shot from my set! Quote
Old_Nash Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 The Robots from the Total Recall remake where awesome and the single best part of that movie. they're recicle the trash from another movie XD Quote
peter Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Is it me, or does Robocop have a bit of a pot belly? Quote
azrael Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Is it me, or does Robocop have a bit of a pot belly?Probably the suit. Or maybe they told the actor to "bulk up" a bit. Probably didn't tell him to stop. Or the stunt guy is the one with the pot belly. Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 HA!, the ULTIMATE Robocop figurine.... Here is the story. Update: Link Quote
GU-11 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 The proportions are rather chunky compared to Peter Weller in the actual suit. Reminds me of the size difference between the CGI Iron Man and RDJ in an actual Iron Man suit...but in reverse. Makes you wonder how thin an actor has to be to fit in that Robocop suit and look proportionate. I remember watching the TV version of Robocop, and the actor looked ridiculously bulky in the suit. Hikuro Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I can understand the chunkiness, it rather is. But it's a statue. I dunno I think it'd be nice of his hand was open and rested so ppl could stand under that hand like he's giving ya a pat on the head for not being trouble. Same time, I see this sucker being spray painted graffiti daily! Quote
Gaijin Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 (edited) New set photos. New suit is growing on me. Edited May 19, 2013 by Gaijin Quote
Gakken85 Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Looks like batman. Just like everything else in movies today. haha. Quote

electric indigo Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I like the ED-209, but they should totally fire their web designer. Quote
anime52k8 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I like the ED-209, but they should totally fire their web designer. I'm wondering if it's intentional. NEWED-209 is nice. Quote
CoryHolmes Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 This movie has "SUCK" written all over it. Actually, it has OmniCorp and Robocop written all over it. Anything else should wait until after viewing. Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 The new ED isn't "cute" anymore. Looks impressive enough, but will it be able to climb stairs? Quote
