areaseven
Yeah that's lame. They should have former ranger members be the ones to unlock their powers. For the all white scene there should be enough whites in PR to sub in for Big One and the rest. Like I said in previous comments, Saban is cheap. Several actors and actresses from the previous seasons were turned down by Saban because they couldn't afford them. At the same time, those that did get offers from Saban rejected them because the proposed pay was only enough to cover their plane ticket to New Zealand and they would have to foot the living expenses themselves. I guess Saban's excuse is how much they're gonna pay Jason David Frank when he returns.

areaseven
On this week's episode of Power Rangers Super Megafarce: Episode 4: A Lion's Alliance The Rangers are assigned by Gosei to go to the floating island of Animaria and find the Red Lion Wild Zord. Yup, Saban is intent on finishing this series very quickly, as it's quickly fast-forwarded to episode 9 of Gokaiger. As usual, any story development that occurred in the source material has been thrown out the window and whatever time is left is filled with action scenes from the skipped episodes. Once again, there are no veteran Rangers around to pass their powers to the current roster. Because of this, the subplot of the Rangers earning the Red Lion Wild Zord comes off as awkward due to the absence of the Red Wild Force Ranger. "Now that's another Super Mega Fail." Not having the Red Wild Force Ranger is weird considering the actor was in the last season. I'm sure he would've come back for one more episode. areaseven
On this week's episode of Power Rangers Super Megafarce: Episode 5: "Samurai Surprise" Special Guests: Alex Heartman as Jayden Shiba and Rene Naufahu (Emperor Grumm in Power Rangers S.P.D.) as Mentor Ji When a member of the Armada's Elite Guard arrives, Prince Vekar decides to personally beam down on Earth to order all of humanity to surrender. The Rangers intervene, but are overpowered by the new monster's abilities. While pondering on how to deal with the new threat, they are paid a visit by a former Ranger. To no surprise, Saban once again takes a good storyline and dilutes it to incomprehensible crap. The two-part Samurai Sentai Shinkenger tribute arc of Gokaiger was important because it developed Gokai Blue's past as a former Zangyack soldier and revealed Barizorg as his former comrade Sid Bamick. Well, none of that could ever be ported in this series, so Saban just fills the gaps with random dialogues and fights instead. On the upside, the series has done something right for the first time, by bringing in past characters to pass on their powers to this group. Even after three years, the Red Samurai dude still can't act. With all the editing done to trim two episodes into one, Saban decided to confuse Power Ranger fans further by retaining some pre-Zyuranger suits such as Pink Flash (Choushinsei Flashman) and Yellow Mask (Hikari Sentai Maskman) without any explanation of where the suits and powers came from. Of course, fans of Mighty Morphin and Lost Galaxy will mark out to the sight of the team using those suits, despite Yellow actually having a skirt. "Now that's a Super Mega Fail." areaseven
On this week's episode of Power Rangers Super Megafarce: Episode 6: "Spirit of the Tiger" Special Guest: Jason Smith as Casey The Rangers face a new threat in the form of a martial arts monster that has an extra pair of magnetic hands. To further prepare themselves for this opponent, Jake and Emma seek advice from a zookeeper who teaches kung-fu after hours. The series takes a step back in the Gokaiger episode catalog and does its take of the Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger tribute episode. As usual, the acting is very sour, but because the original version was the weakest Gokaiger legend tribute episode to begin with, this episode is not so bad compared to the rest of the series. areaseven
No new episode this week, but stay tuned on April 5, when the Silver Ranger makes his debut. I wonder how Saban will screw this up... Edited April 11, 2014 by areaseven
areaseven
On this week's episode of Power Rangers Super Megafarce: Episode 7: "Silver Lining Part 1" Introducing: Cameron Jebo as Orion/Silver Ranger The Rangers scramble to battle scores of X-Borgs in town, only to discover that someone else has gone one step ahead of them in taking out the trash. Well, here's a surprise. In contrast to Super Sentai fanboy Gai Ikari in Gokaiger, the Silver Ranger here is an alien who's out to avenge his planet after being the only survivor of his kind. Aside from recycling action footage from episode 17 of Gokaiger, this episode has more new footage than before. Changes to the monster of the week fight include the Rangers changing into the Lost Galaxy (Seijuu Sentai Gingaman) suits instead of the Mighty Morphin suits. As usual, most of this episode makes no sense compared to the source material. "Now that's a Super Mega Fail." Next time on Power Rangers Super Megafarce: Episode 8: "Silver Lining Part 2" More action from that alien guy.
