Thom Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I already snagged a VF-27 and am thinking about another RVF too.. http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?fb=0&SaleGroup=SALEMACF&Title=Mecha,%20Figures%20and%20More%20from%20Macross%20Frontier!&utm_medium=itemblock&utm_campaign=SCI_page&utm_content=ib_maross_f_sale_2010.png Quote
Soundblaster1 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Are there any reviews for the VF-27? I'd like to own some version of it and the price looks too good to pass up... Especially considering how much a DX 1/60 can go for. But my biggest concerns are durability and if there's any resale value for an assembled kit should I decide I need to part with it down the road. The whole "assembly required" thing doesn't bother me too much, I have way too much free time. Quote

The BanDai Macross F model kits are failry durable though you should still treat it with respect as it is still a model kit and not a toy. Unless you will paint the kit like a pro and keep it in mint condition, built model kits do not command good resale value. If you already have in mind in parting with it later on and hoping to get back most of your investment, I would suggest you to stay away from it. Quote
Soundblaster1 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 So it's probably better to splurge for the 1/60 DX version instead? It's not so much that I know I'm going to sell it, but I know my collecting pattern is generally to sell something when I get bored with it... Granted, with all the time I'd put into building it, I might be less willing to part with it... Quote
Mercurial Morpheus Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Tempting, if a touch limited for the figure collector. Wouldn't mind the X-mas figures. Shame they only have the white ones (dallied a bit too long I think). Quarter's tempting, but i just dropped a 100 on a new drive. Really should've jumped on the Yamato sale for Christmas. Quote
