Kurt Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Hey everyone. Just finished these two valks in the Jetfire scheme. They are not exact reproductions and yes I know, the heat sheild is missing on the one. Thanks for looking. Quote
GU-11 Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 That's a thing of beauty. Would be perfect with a couple of Autobot emblems from Repro-labels. Quote
Jasonc Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Cool, been wanting to do one of these for awhile, but have too many other projects on my plate. Nice job. Quote
ff95gj Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) They are incredible artwork you have there. But personally, I do not like the Jetfire Battroid scheme very well. The Fighter mode is definitely beautiful. Edited December 7, 2010 by ff95gj Quote
Old Man Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Superb work, as always. I never thought I'd see a Jetfire Kurt Custom, but I must say, I'm very impressed. Quote
JET7 Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 drop jaw kurt.. extremely awesome..made my day. plan on selling it? Quote
macrossnake Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 It is an excellent work, althought it is not my kind of color scheme. Quote
miriya Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 It is always inspiring to see your customs Kurt. Thanks for sharing! Quote
BlueMax Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) Bad ass. 1/60 unpainted version? This has to be the 1/48 version. Just look at the neckline of the battroid mode. Of course, fantastic work as always Kurt... and yes, need some reprolabels! Edited December 7, 2010 by BlueMax Quote
big F Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Outstanding work, always nice to see your latest offerings Quote
hutch Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Absolutely awesome. I need to commission one of these someday... Quote
pud333 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Absolutely awesome. I need to commission one of these someday... I plan on doing that at some point once my Valkyrie collection gets bigger. On the custom: Really nice work. Like others have said, you just need to visit reprolabels.com Quote
Old Man Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I plan on doing that at some point once my Valkyrie collection gets bigger. On the custom: Really nice work. Like others have said, you just need to visit reprolabels.com If it's anything like Kurt's previous customs, it's up to the customer who commissioned the work to provide any decals he or she may want. That is, unless Kurt did these for himself. Quote
Mechapilot77 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 thats some nice work. Damn I need some 1/48 FAST packs bad! Quote
Minelayer Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Kurt- That is beautiful work. Hopefully someday I'll have the talent and time to do this too. Of course, I have more time than talent. Quote
MacrossMan Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Even without the decals this has to be the finest Jetfire example I have seen; but what would else would you expect...it's a Kurt Kustom! Quote
Skull-1 Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Gorgeous. Very nice. Only question I have is on the black paint on the legs. Is that a decal or paint? I know the Jetfire decals there were kinda' tough to clone... Quote
mojacko Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 awesome work as always kurt...looks like it came out from a factory....super clean!!! Quote
Shaorin Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) This has to be the 1/48 version. Just look at the neckline of the battroid mode. more than that, just look at the overall proportions. the 1/60v.II has a far more slender, elegant and well balanced overall look and feel. after living with a 1/48 Focker VF-1S ever since it's initial 2002 release, and pining all that time for exactly what the 1/60v.II turned out to be, and finally getting one in late 2008/early 2009, i KNOW the look and feel of the 1/48s by heart, and can spot them in an instant, no matter the color scheme... anyway, though, beautiful work. a set of T.F. AUTOBOT decals would definitely complete the package, providing you wish to be strictly accurate. for my part, however, i always found the giant logo on the nose to look decidedly grotesque. still, you ARE dealing with someone here that knows and loves their VF-1s first and foremost by canon colors, long after the era of 1984 first wave T.F.s and JETFIRE, so, by all means, please finish your amazingly accurate work, if you so desire to...
