VF-18S Hornet
Barring my obvious feelings on the matter, what an ironic way to go. Indeed, I just found out today on HLJ.
shiroth
Indeed it's very sad news. May the Yamato rest in peace. For those interested, Patrick Macias translated Yoshiyuki Tomino's thoughts on Nishizaki's passing. It's pretty typical crazy Tomino, so you've been warned. The Tomino quote is not a response to Nishizaki's passing, it is older. There seems to be some confusion surrounding that, I hope it doesn't spread into a fully-propagated fallacy (aw, who am I kidding, this is the net -- "Anime Friend sucks!!" etc..). In any case, RIP Nishizaki. Too many great legends are falling recently, and there's few left to fill their shoes.

shiroth
The Tomino quote is not a response to Nishizaki's passing, it is older. I was thinking to myself that Tomino was a bit quick on the ball to speak about the topic, though because of his words it was hard to think otherwise.
