captain america Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 $140 for an arm, and a leg, and so forth? Correct. Due to the nature of the project, I'd likely do this by private contract w/deposit. Quote
thegunny Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 John, I'm not as familiar with this project as some of the others so what size will IT be when it's finished please? Quote
wwwmwww Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) I would need an absolute minimum of 20 orders to even kick things off. I'm still in for 3. This will be the holy grail of my kit collection. The only kit that could trump it would be a John Moscato Tread to go with this Legioss, but one step at a time. Carl John, I'm not as familiar with this project as some of the others so what size will IT be when it's finished please? Here is a link that should help... http://www.macrossworld.com/mospeada/john_moscato/_main_john_moscato.htm Carl Edited November 5, 2010 by wwwmwww Quote
jenius Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Sadly, too rich for my blood, but I hope it happens so I have pics to oogle over as others complete them. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Count me in for the six installments As Carl said, this is also going to be the holy grail of collection!!! Quote
cool8or Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 USD$140x6= USD$840... I don't know if I'll be able to spend that amount... but anyway I'll be watching this proyect. Quote
wwwmwww Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 (edited) USD$140x6= USD$840... Yes, but those 6 installments will be 2 months apart. So that comes to $70/month for a year. My kit collecting has really slowed down the last several years but that is a small fraction of what I was throwing at this at my peak. It seems very reasonable to me and I'm very greatful he's set this up as he has where the payments can be spread across a year. Carl Edited November 6, 2010 by wwwmwww Quote
codam23 Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Well im in. John how much do you want up front? Quote
Viceland Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I'm in. My nose started bleeding as I was reading this thread, seriously, is that bad? Quote
Heavy Melder Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 It's "real" 1/32, Shame. I'm all about the 1/48, but not 1/32, not so much. Quote
MechTech Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 It's a good thing I checked back here! What great news! When I asked about this 10 years ago my wife and I both had a job and it was about $500 then :^) Stupid infaltion! Depending on start time and cost, might just go for it! - MT Quote
Ghadrack Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 (edited) Even with inflation I'm in for one. I'll consider 2, this is going to be basically the pinnacle of Mospeada garage kits unless you do something more epic, it's not chicken scratch, but quality seldom is cheap. Is there a certain number of commitments that are necessary to make this happen? ~Edit~ Cap,n if you decide this is a go, I assume you'll give us some instructions on how to contact you to make arrangements for a deposit/contract. derex3592 Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 WOW!! is this the coolest place (with the coolest and most talented guys) on the internet??? I THINK SO!!!! Quote
peter Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Back from the dead, wow, that's pretty cool, I look forward to seeing one of these finished in the "Mos-cah-to! Models" thread. Quote
neko_fr Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Hi! Just to say, it's... WOW!! Too big and too costly for me, but WOW!! It's, by far, the most impressive project I've ever seen! Quote
DarrinG Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 How many are in at this point? Count me as one. I'll figure out a way to pay for it, then build it in 20 years when I retire . . . Quote
cksh Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I might be in but have to wait until early next year. Can we pay 140 for one piece and then buy the next when we have the cash? Or is it all in up front? If I have to come up with it all at once it will take me a year to save (gotta keep it hidden from the wife!) Quote
gilermo Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Too bad i don't have the 800+ bucks to buy this thing Edited November 13, 2010 by gilermo Quote
meninge Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 OOHH MY GOD it's true!!! waw, congratulations and please... keep going til the end!!!! Quote

This makes it not only more manageable for you guys, but also for me, cos that kit has over 300 pieces So far, it looks like we have 18 solid confirmations and 1 tentative: RKSC (2) jorwar_b Ignacio Ocamica Codam23 neptunesurvey Ghadrack Thor DarrinG WWWMWWW (3) Major Tom Viceland Valkyrie Jadefalconguard SILVERDRAGON MSLZ 22 Yaco (tentative) Edited November 22, 2010 by captain america Quote

captain america Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Any problems with paying more up front? I have the perfect use for my quarterly bonus! Not in principle, though we're still at least 6 places short of a go. Umm... Don't forget to tell your friends about the project? Quote
THOR Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 maybe i can give plasma on a regular basis to afford another ralfa...it's all about how far you're willing to go. i turned off my cable tv & internet to help pay for this one. btw, mcdonalds doesn't like it when you run an extension cord from their building to your laptop while you use their internet. big F Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 btw, mcdonalds doesn't like it when you run an extension cord from their building to your laptop while you use their internet. I'm surprised they didn't ask if you wanted fries with it Quote
wwwmwww Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 (edited) Not in principle, though we're still at least 6 places short of a go. Umm... Don't forget to tell your friends about the project? I sent Shawn here a week or so ago. He was glad to see this project alive again. Come on guys... just 6 more are needed. And those of you getting 1... think about 2. After one of these is finished and pics get out I would think odds are good that you could sell one on eBay and nearly cover the cost of two. Carl Edited November 16, 2010 by wwwmwww Quote
Ghadrack Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Contemplating 2. If this is going to take place roughly every 2 months, does that mean we are looking at roughly 10 months from start to finish? Quote
cool8or Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Sorry guys but this proyect it's too expensive to me. Quote
Valkyrie Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 My wallet is gonna hate me... but I'm in. Quote
jardann Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I know this is/will be the most amazing project! I'm thinking it would be tough for me though. If the time frame was longer I'd probably be in and I definitely want to be in! I'm just not sure I can commit to a regular expenditure like that over this coming year. I really hope to see this get started, and I really hope that I can come up with some disposable funds to get in on the project, but I can't commit just yet. Maybe after the holidays I'll have a better idea if I can or not. Quote
jadefalconguard Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I'm in...this means ofcourse I can't put my kids into college Quote
captain america Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 I'm in...this means ofcourse I can't put my kids into college Who needs college when you can have your own Supreme Detail Henshin Robo?? Just think of the possibilities... Not only can it be built in any of the three modes, but has the possibility to be converted to Iota, Zeta, or even Mujin configuration with the right parts. Quote
jorawar_b Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Good project, I hope if this goes well the beta will follow, maybe the armored version Quote
