Graham Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Saw the Banadai 1/72 scale VF-25F with Tornado pack model kit has been released already. Saw it in the Sino Centre branch of Animate last night, but didn't check the price, as I was busy toy hunting. Graham Quote
Thom Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I saw it available on HLJ, but I don't have any urge to buy it. It looks okay, but the new 'pack' just swallows too much of the VF-25's lines. It looks too much like the '27. Quote
Fly4victory Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Hobby Search already has the Tornado on sale, 20% off. I usually buy from HLJ. Has anyone bought from them? http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10123518 Quote
regult Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I saw it available on HLJ, but I don't have any urge to buy it. It looks okay, but the new 'pack' just swallows too much of the VF-25's lines. It looks too much like the '27. Honestly, I always thought the Tornado thing was invented to cover up the horrible Bandai DX toy, if you look at the DX w/Tornado packs, it's clear how much better it looks with the new attachments on (covering almost the entire toy except the cockpit area). In Battroid it even stands w/o stand thanks to the very long tail boom that acts much like a third leg. The kit does not need them in the first place, because it always looked quite anime-accurate, but naturally there will be collectors who'd like to have the Tornado version, so there it is. As I said in the regular VF-25 kit thread, I just don't see the advantage of adding more weight to the already fragile wing plate hinge that so easily breaks on models and develops stress marks on the Armored DX toy. regult Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 That builder in Japan has consistently delivered quality builds, that does not mean a common mortal like myself can ever achieve that level of precision. Thanks for the link! Quote
Thom Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I would consider buying it, only to change out the twin guns for one massive cannon ala VF-2SS. Quote
GianS Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 I want to get this kit... however as I don't have any Bandai Vf-25 kit as of yet, I am wondering the following: Can I intechange the Tornado parts and super parts (if bought seperately) at will? Thanks, G Quote
bullet101 Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 In my opinion, not without some difficulty and at the risk of breaking some parts. Quote
